Well, Friday is here, so that means we are turning our gaze to what's been happening in the world of #MMA It's been said recently, that getting to the UFC is easier, but staying is a lot harder. And that's what Jordan Espinosa and Shana Dobson have experienced. BUT, there's always the chance to return! Over the last few days a lot of ridiculous claims have been made, but Dan Hardy has now clarified his work situation. And although he's Full Reptile, I don't expect him to go extinct Losing is always tough, no one wants to do it, but when it happens you wanna carry yourself in a certain way. Unfortunately a couple of fights from 'UFC 259' haven't. Rogério Bontorin is extremely salty with Herb Dean and thinks he should have an automatic rematch with Kai Kara-France. The other is Petr Yan who has had plenty of words for Aljamain Sterling. But no one seems to be talking about his straight up illegal knee! When it comes to post fight interviews, Dominick Cruz had a memorable one. On a recent podcast with James Lynch he did reveal he'd had talks with Monster about the Hans Molenkamp situation We ponder if we'll be seeing the UFC in Texas??? And there had been a lot of talk, but we now know which card will be next for ABC. PLUS, we take a look at the 'UFC on ESPN+ 45' weigh-in's. There was a scare, but in the end, everyone made weight. Today's (ep 160) @ChinCheckPod breaks it all down, so let's get with it! - 2-4 cant keep Jordan Espinosa and Shana Dobson in the UFC - Dan Hardy clears air - Rogerio Bontorin not happy with Herb Dean! - Petr Yan can't use language as an excuse for his illegal knee - Dominick Cruz updates the Hans Molenkamp situation - Is the UFC going to Texas??? - And the second card on ABC is...... - UFC on ESPN+ 45: Edwards vs. Muhammad - weigh-in's *(Music) 'Satisfaction' by Eve - 2002 --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/eftv/message

Join us right here, or for VIDEO on our Combat Culture YT Channel AT - https://youtu.be/RrRu13-1YYk, for a ‘Radio-Style’ PBP broadcast of the UFC 259 PPV MAIN CARD with LIVE updates, commentary, results & reactions. Tonight, the UFC showcased 3 title battles, for the UFC LHW Championship, the UFC Women’s FW Championship & the UFC FW Championship. Returning to the octagon for the main event we have the reigning UFC LHW Champion, Jan Blachowicz, with a remarkable 27-8 record, after an almost 6 month break from UFC action, to defend the title against the reigning UFC MW Champ, ‘The Last Stylebender’ Israel Adesanya; arguably one of the best strikers in all of MMA, entering with his impressive undefeated 20-0 record. In the co-main event, we have the highly predictable Women’s UFC FW Championship between ‘The Lioness’, Amanda Nunes, entering the octagon with a strong #1 ranked 20-4 record vs. Megan Anderson, with her #5 ranked 10-4 record. Nunes is a massive favorite heading into this fight, so it is highly likely Anderson gets a severe beat down here, as Nunes is the 1st woman to become a 2-division UFC champion, and the 3rd fighter in UFC history to hold titles in 2 weight classes simultaneously. She is also the 1st & only fighter in UFC history to defend 2 titles while actively holding them. Our 3rd title fight of the event is for the UFC BW Championship between the reigning champion Petr Yan (he holds this title despite being ranked #10 in the division) and the #1 ranked contender, Aljamain ‘Funk Master’ Sterling, our staff mainly leans towards Yan winning via decision here but we do have a couple holdouts for Sterling to pull the title off Yan. Also on the card, we have an exciting LHW bout taking place between fight veteran ‘Maretta’ (The Sledgehammer) Thiago Santos, with his storied 21-8 career record matched up against the up-and-comer Aleksandar Rakić sporting a 13-2 record (with only 1 loss since Oct, 2011). Rakić debuted in the UFC a little over 3 years ago and is a rising star, currently ranked #5, behind Santos who is at #4 after 8 years of UFC performances. These bouts will have been preceded by a fully-packed 10 bout undercard. What a wild night full of fights we have to share with you! Zane Simon & Connor Ruebusch are back with the MMA Vivisection PRELIMS SHOW, breaking down a set of TEN bouts on the 15-bout UFC 259 PPV: 'Blachowicz vs Adesnaya' Preliminary Card. "The UFC has pulled out all the stops for this weekend’s PPV card. Featuring ranked talent from top to bottom, the main card is headlined by a trio of title fight, with Israel Adesanya taking on Jan Blachowicz, Megan Anderson challenging Amanda Nunes, and ALjamain Sterling taking his shot at Petr Yan. Throw former title challenger Thiago Santos in there along with Khabib heir apparent Islam Makhachev and the stakes are sure to be high comes Saturday night. That even goes for the undercard, where former champion Dominick Cruz will take on rising talent Casey Kenney. A card has to be deep when former multiple time title challenger Joe Benavidez can’t even get feature billing." - Zane Simon For those fans who wish to dive deeper into the MAIN CARD, check out that version of the MMA Vivi which airs at 2pm Central today, Thurs., March 4th., 2021, right here on our SC channel. Israel Adesanya gets his chance at becoming a UFC double-champ when he takes on Jan Blachowicz for the UFC Light Heavyweight Title. Jan Blachowicz is used to being an underdog. He's gone on an insane UFC run being just that. Israel Adesanya brings a different puzzle, and Blachowicz will need to be at his best for his UFC title defense. Two other UFC champions will hit the Octagon with Amanda Nunes defending her UFC featherweight title against Megan Anderson, and the long awaited UFC bantamweight title bout between Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling. Rebroadcast of an episode that aired on 9/19/20, there was an issue with the audio file on some of our podcast platforms. Zane Simon & Eddie Mercado are back to breakdown the card, with hot takes, possible next fights, as well as reactions to the overall event. Sign up for ESPN+ at: http://go.web.plus.espn.com/c/482924/566982/9070?sharedid=BloodyElbow Overall, this massive 14-bout card saw 6 swift finishes in Rd 1, four subs, a total of 5 KO/TKOs, 3 decisions (two SPLIT) & 1 MAJORITY DRAW. Rounding things out, bonuses for putting forth POTN efforts went to Khamzat Chimaev, Mackenzie Dern, Randy Costa, and Damon Jackson; and FOTN honors went to... nobody!? The night showcased a long-awaited & highly-anticipated WW clash between Tyron Woodley & Colby Covington. Unfortunately, the bout was terribly anti-clamactic, especially for a highly-touted main event. Covington backed Woodley up against the fence for nearly 25 minutes, battering away at him with elbows & knees, until he eventually succumbed to a fight-ending injury to the ribs; Niko Price & Donald Cerrone faced off in the co-main event, which was actually entertaining — up until the fight was scored a majority draw. In the main card opener, Mackenzie Dern increased her clout in the UFC, as the BJJ virtuoso finished veteran Randa Markos via an armbar sub in the 1st Rd. In a light HW performance, Johnny Walker also came away with a 1st Rd finish when he put a swift stop to contender Ryan Spann by raining down elbows & punches for his TKO win. Right before the co-main event of the evening, Khamzat Chimaev continued to impress, when the undefeated crowd-puller put veteran middleweight Gerald Meerschaert to sleep with a 17-second knockout punch. The undercard portion of the night had an impressive 6 finishes out of 8 bouts. In our opener, Tyson Nam finished Jerome Rivera via TKO - punches. A couple bouts up the card, Randy Costa ended Journey Newson via head-kick KO just a mere 41-seconds into Rd 1 — to keep the multitude of finishes coming, Darrick Minner ended T.J. Laramie via guillotine sub only 52-seconds into Rd 1. As if this wasn’t enough action for the prelims, Jessica-Rose Clark also ended Sarah Alpar via TKO - punch & knee in the 3rd Rd. Mayra Bueno Silva ended Mara Romero Borella via armbar just a couple minutes into the 1st Rd. Toward the end of the prelims, Damon Jackson scored an unexpected sub via guillotine over Mirsad Bektić. Zane Simon & Eddie Mercado are here to breakdown the card, with hot takes, possible next fights, as well as reactions to the overall event. Sign up for ESPN+ and watch #UFCVEGAS11 #COVINGTONVSWOODLEY at: http://go.web.plus.espn.com/c/482924/566982/9070?sharedid=BloodyElbow Overall, this massive 14-bout card saw 6 swift finishes in Rd 1, four subs, a total of 5 KO/TKOs, 3 decisions (two SPLIT) & 1 MAJORITY DRAW. Rounding things out, bonuses for putting forth POTN efforts went to Khamzat Chimaev, Mackenzie Dern, Randy Costa, and Damon Jackson; and FOTN honors went to... nobody!? Wow, what a fun night of fights we have to discuss with you! The night showcased a long-awaited & highly-anticipated WW clash between Tyron Woodley & Colby Covington. Unfortunately, the bout was terribly anti-clamactic, especially for a highly-touted main event. Covington backed Woodley up against the fence for nearly 25 minutes, battering away at him with elbows & knees, until he eventually succumbed to a fight-ending injury to the ribs; Niko Price & Donald Cerrone faced off in the co-main event of the night, which was actually entertaining — up until the fight was scored a majority draw.

Zane Simon and Eddie Mercado are here to breakdown UFC on ESPN+ 24/Fight Night 166/UFC Raleigh with hot takes, possible next fights, as well as reactions to the overall event. This Saturday’s, Jan. 25th., UFC Fight Night event, from the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina, featured Curtis ‘Razor’ Blaydes entering the octagon tonight on a two-fight win streak, increasing it to three when he swiftly defeated former Heavyweight Champion, Junior dos Santos, at 1:06 of Round 2 with KO/TKO-Knees & Punches to JDS, leaving him with a new record showing two losses in a row now, and Blaydes calling for his title shot; also on the card, was a co-main event showcasing the #7 ranked Welterweight, Rafael dos Anjos who was defeated via Unanimous Decision by the lesser ranked (#19) Michael Chiesa, who came out with the superior performance tonight; rounding things out, also on the card tonight we had an exciting and swift finish when Alex Perez took out Jordan Espinosa via an Arm Triangle Choke Submission at just 2:33 of Round 1, the undercard also brought us an exciting opening bout between Herbert Burns and Nate Landwehr, ending in just 2:53 into Round 1 with a KO/TKO via Knee from the clinch, but more than anything — the fight to catch on the undercard was Brett Johns vs Tony Gravely, they came away with Fight of the Night, in a brawl that went to 2:53 of Round 3 before Johns submitted Gravely with a sweet Rear Naked Choke; overall, we had quite a night of fights with a few decent finishes to discuss with you... Zane Simon & Connor Ruebusch are back with the MMA Vivisection PRELIMS SHOW, breaking down a set of seven prelims on an ESPN+ card. This week’s UFC event in Raleigh, NC isn’t one of the promotion’s strongest offerings. The main card has a couple bouts of note on it, but otherwise fans will have to be forgiven if they look at much of the lineup and wonder just who any of these fighters are. Notable bouts include Arnold Allen vs. Nik Lentz and Sara McMann vs. Lina Lansberg. The opening bouts between Herbert Burns & Nate Landwehr and Brett Johns & Tony Gravely should both be pretty action filled. But that’s not exactly a lot to hang a hat on. For those interested in all the main card bouts, check back in tomorrow for the main card Vivi on Thursday.
