1. Lions Bears & NFL week 4 Justin Fields Struggles early this season....There's only so much sympathy you're allowed to have for a rival, but as a fellow quarterback, one drafted in the first round who weathered the storm of falling short of early expectations, Jared Goff feels the pain of Chicago Bears rookie Justin Fields after his tumultuous first start last week. And in explaining why he feels a young quarterback shouldn't be pressed into action too early — an assessment shared by another pair of quarterbacks selected No. 1 overall during a segment on "Monday Night Countdown" — Goff unintentionally makes the case for the Detroit Lions sticking with him as their starter in 2022, even if they do decide to invest in the franchise's future at the position in the first round of next year's draft. 2. NFL – Bears move closer to leaving Soldier Field for the suburbs The Chicago Bears took a major step toward moving out of their longtime home at Soldier Field and into the suburbs by signing a purchase agreement for Arlington Park about 30 miles northwest of the city. The team made the announcement in a news release and Churchill Downs Incorporated, which owns the property officially known as Arlington International Racecourse, announced that the sale price was $197.2 million. Team president Ted Phillips says that “much work remains to be completed” before the deal can be finalized. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot's office says it remains open to discussions to keep the team from leaving what has been its lakefront home since 1971. NFL – Nagy not saying who Bears' starting QB will be against Lions Bears coach Matt Nagy was not ready to say who the starting quarterback will be when Chicago hosts the Detroit Lions. He says veteran Andy Dalton remains the No. 1 signal-caller followed by rookie Justin Fields and Nick Foles. But it's unclear who will start this week. Nagy says that “will be sorted out once we have a clearer picture” on the health of his top two quarterbacks. Both were expected to practice Wednesday in some capacity. Nagy would not say, either, if he will continue to call plays on offense. Chicago had 47 yards in a 26-6 loss at Cleveland last week. NFL – National Football League – Week 4 Tonight Jacksonville Jaguars at Cincinnati Bengals, 8:20 p.m. MLB – Major League Baseball Yesterday Minnesota Twins 5, Detroit Tigers 2 Chicago White Sox 6, Cincinnati Reds 1 Chicago Cubs 3, Pittsburgh Pirates 2 Twins 5, Tigers 2 – Polanco, Pineda help Twins beat Tigers 5-2 Jorge Polanco launched a three-run homer and Michael Pineda was solid in his last start of the year as the Minnesota Twins beat the Detroit Tigers 5-2. Minnesota began the game with three hits against right-hander Casey Mize. After singles by Luis Arraez and Byron Buxton, Polanco took Mize deep to center field on the first pitch. Polanco's 32nd homer of the season gave him 94 RBIs, both team highs. Pineda allowed one run and scattered eight hits over 5 2/3 innings in what could be his final game with the Twins. The veteran right-hander can become a free agent this offseason. He finished with a 3.62 ERA in 22 games after making just five starts in 2020. White Sox 6, Reds 1 – Rodón returns as White Sox beat Reds for 4th straight win Carlos Rodón pitched five scoreless innings in a closely watched start ahead of the playoffs, and the Chicago White Sox beat the Cincinnati Reds 6-1. Tim Anderson and Gavin Sheets homered as the White Sox moved a season-high 23 games above .500 with their fourth consecutive victory. Rodón allowed one hit, struck out four and walked two in his first start since he lasted just three innings in a 4-3 loss at Detroit on Sept. 20. The left-hander reported some arm soreness after his previous outing that he described as normal, but it drew some concern from manager Tony La Russa. Cubs 3, Pirates 2 – Contreras 3 RBIs, Cubs beat Pirates, end 7-game losing skid Willson Contreras drove in all of the Cubs' run as Chicago beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 3-2 to end a seven-game losing streak. Contreras' two-run double high off the right-field wall in the seventh inning rallied the Cubs from a 2-1 deficit. He also accounted for the game's first run with a long sacrifice fly to center field in the fifth. Pittsburgh fell to 59-99, putting the Pirates on the brink of the ninth 100-loss season in franchise history. Host Ian Hartitz is joined by PFF analyst Andrew Erickson to break down every game in Week 13. Ian is beyond upset at what Taysom Hill has done to Alvin Kamara's fantasy value, while Andrew thinks the presence of Ryan Fitzpatrick under center could produce some big performances from DeVante Parker and Mike Gesicki moving forward. Every week is James RB1son week, continue to treat him as a top-10 option at the position regardless of who is under center. Please take a moment of silence in respect of Will Fuller szn officially being over. The guys believe the Raiders could bounce back in a big way this week against the Jets, while praise is heaped on the likes of Terry McLaurin, Nick Chubb and D'Andre Swift. Additional topics include: why isn't Kyler Murray running more, will Russ keep cooking, who to trust in Philadelphia, what to make of Josh Allen during the fantasy playoffs, and much more. 0:20 Intro 01:29 Saints @ Falcons 06:42 Bengals @ Dolphins 10:34 Jaguars @ Vikings 14:24 Raiders @ Jets 19:15 Colts @ Texans 25:18 Browns @ Titans 30:44 Football Team @ Steelers 36:07 Lions @ Bears 42:46 Rams @ Cardinals 49:33 Giants @ Seahawks 55:34 Patriots @ Chargers 1:01:02 Eagles @ Packers 1:07:58 Broncos @ Chiefs 1:12:28 Bills @ 49ers 1:17:57 Cowboys @ Ravens
