Munaf Manji, SleepyJ and Steve Reider break down NFL player props for Week 14. The guys also preview MNF and give out a best bet. Key Points from the Transcript Quarterbacks: Brock Purdy of the 49ers was a central discussion point due to a depleted running back roster, with over 20.5 completions being projected. Justin Herbert's under 231 passing yards was suggested due to the Chargers' reliance on an injured receiver corps. However, counterpoints favored Herbert exceeding 20.5 completions based on historical performances against strong defenses like Kansas City. Running Backs: Tony Pollard (Cowboys) was a favored pick with over 67.5 rushing yards, considering Jacksonville's poor rush defense in recent weeks. Tyrone Tracy of the Giants was highlighted for over 59.5 rushing yards against the Saints' weak rush defense, marking him as the Giants' key offensive contributor. Wide Receivers: A.J. Brown (Eagles) was expected to surpass 76.5 receiving yards in a pivotal game against Carolina, given injuries to teammates. Parker Washington (Jaguars) emerged as a breakout candidate for over 29.5 receiving yards, supported by his recent standout performance and increased route participation. Monday Night Football Preview: The matchup between the Bengals and Cowboys focused on offensive prowess. Joe Burrow's performance was spotlighted with a prop for his longest completion to exceed 37.5 yards, citing his explosive plays in recent games. The consensus leaned toward a high-scoring game, with Jamar Chase and CeeDee Lamb expected to shine. Insights and Analyses Quotes and AnalysisBrock Purdy Discussion: “Easy completions here for Brock Purdy.” Analysis: Purdy's prop reflects the reliance on short throws due to injuries, indicating San Francisco's strategy to focus on high-percentage plays. Tony Pollard's Potential: “Three of the last five games have seen a running back go over 100 yards against Jacksonville.” Analysis: Pollard's rushing potential against Jacksonville's defense aligns with their struggles against lead backs, reinforcing confidence in the prop. Parker Washington's Role: “103 yards last week with a 78% route participation.” Analysis: Washington's increased involvement underlines his emerging role, especially given the depleted Jacksonville receiver corps. Monday Night Football Expectations: “This could be the CeeDee Lamb and Jamar Chase show.” Analysis: Highlighting two elite receivers emphasizes the game's potential for high-yardage plays and individual brilliance. Statistics and Their Implications Player Performance Tony Pollard: Over 67.5 rushing yards against a Jaguars team allowing significant rushing performances. A.J. Brown: Expected to exceed 76.5 receiving yards due to key absences in the Eagles' lineup. Joe Burrow: Longest completion expected over 37.5 yards, backed by recent success in surpassing this benchmark in consecutive games. Team Trends Jacksonville Rush Defense: Allowed 100+ yards to RBs in 3 of the last 5 games, influencing the Pollard and Kamara projections. Cowboys at Home: High-scoring games (34.5 PPG allowed) suggest a shootout for MNF. Conclusion Week 14 highlights include calculated bets on individual player performances based on injuries, team trends, and historical data. The MNF clash between the Bengals and Cowboys offers potential for exciting offensive plays, with Joe Burrow, CeeDee Lamb, and Jamar Chase taking center stage. Each bet considers game dynamics and recent player usage, ensuring informed decision-making. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Have you ever spent an entire evening naming obscure tight ends from the 90s with your buddies? What about being publicly humiliated by your fantasy football league's last place punishment? Or maybe you are the kind of person who loves coming up with inappropriate fantasy football team names based off your star player's name? If you relate to any of this, our new show, The Flex, may be for you! In this debut episode of The Flex, Jake Trowbridge and Geoff Ulrich introduce their unique take on fantasy football—mixing solid advice with humor and bold predictions! The duo dives into key players with strong "rest of season" potential, like Geoff's pick of Parker Washington and Jake's choice of Ricky Pearsall. When it comes to New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen's recent firing, they explore what it means for fantasy players, including Geoff's view that it was overdue and Jake's optimism for a post-firing bump in performance. They also discuss the impact of Jameis Winston's re-emergence, touching on his longshot odds (+5000) for Comeback Player of the Year and how he boosts Browns WR fantasy value. Rankings are a hot topic as they compare players like Malik Nabers, Cooper Kupp, and Taysom Hill in various formats, and for defense streamers for Week 10! The guys wrap up with a hilarious “bizarro fill in the blanks” segment, tackling lighthearted scenarios like grocery store runs and the joys of an “easy cleanup.” Whether you're here for fantasy tips or laughs, Jake and Geoff bring the perfect blend to your midweek fantasy routine. ______________________

BWI Mailbag quick-hitter Before we get into the main focus of the show, we take a moment to answer a mailbag question from the Tuesday live show that didn't make it on air. Lions Den member Davidwg wants to know the following: "If Penn State has two WRs play to the level that Parker Washington did, is that enough for the offense to be able to compete for a big ten title?" We'll discuss what it means to be on Parker Washington's level as a receiver, the implications of how that would work in the offense, and if Penn State could get to a Big Ten Title with that level of talent. Five burning Penn State Football training camp questions As you might expect with me, the questions we're discussing today aren't the headliner topics that have domianted the Penn State news cycle for the offseason. We're digging a bit deeper to find five important questions that need answers for the team this fall. 5) How will the receiver position shake out positionally? Fans have focued on the who of the receiver position, but today we'll take a look at the how behind their fit. A football team is like a complex puzzle with pieces that need to fit together in order to get a winning picture. We'll dive into the details of this group and see if Penn State receiver coach Marques Hagans and offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki can make something better from the sum of the parts. 4) Which sub-package rises to the top? While the top line starters are still a question, there are interesting battles down the depth chart that also will play out next month. While we're not previewing individuals, we are looking at the inter-positional matchups that will decide the flavor of Penn State's scheme under Kotelnicki in the first month of the season. 3) Left Tackle Depth There aren't many questions about who will start at tackle, with veteran Drew Shelton at the top of the depth chart. But is there depth behind him? Who are the players that can present a viable presence on the roster? 2) What does Penn State's third-down package look like? Count this on the list of "good" problems to have for the Penn State defense. When the team hits third and long, which players will earn a spot on the defense? From getting after the quarterback to playing in coverage, there are multiple options for defensive coordinator Tom Allen. 1) Will the plan pay off? The top question is also the most broad. Penn State head coach James Franklin made a bold strategy choice when installing the team's new offense, defense, and special teams. We'll review that decision and why it matters now.
