There are so many times we mistake “greatness” for something that we as humans do and achieve instead of realizing what it really is; the “anointing” of the Holy Spirit on someone operating within their God-given gifting. In this episode, Gospel artist, songwriter, worship leader, and co-writer and performer of Rapha, Jason Clayborn, tells a story of his first encounter with “greatness” and how he learned that those who carry a higher calling on their life and submit to the will and authority of Jesus are able to carry his presence in the form of a Holy Spirit anointing. Once we recognize that all Christians carry some form of this, how do we reconcile our differences and how does this calling on our lives draw us closer to Jesus, while also introducing others to Jesus through us? These questions and more are touched on in this exciting podcast episode from this seasoned artist and worship leader in Jason. We're thrilled to have him as a guest and we encourage you to comment below, review our podcast, subscribe to our show, and please share our content as we believe this show is “anointed” with the purpose of equipping and building up those on worship teams and who volunteer in churches all over the world. - - - - - - Please subscribe to our social channels for more information and great content surrounding building a lifestyle of worship. Chambers U.S. Army (Ret) have provided ongoing leadership and creative consulting for several groundbreaking Military Veteran support programs including Syracuse University's renowned - Institute For Veterans & Military Families (IVMF). For the past ten years Michael has served as the National Spokesman and Master of Ceremonies for The National Veterans Creative Arts Festival (NVCAF). This program showcases the Veterans Administrations work utilizing art therapy to help wounded Veterans find healing. 120 Gold medal recipients in the visual and performing arts are honored annually on this PBS Television special. Following eleven tours and over 150 performances for deployed Service members in Iraq and Afghanistan, Michael Peterson received the prestigious Spirit Of Hope medal from the U.S.O. and the U.S. Army. This honor is given annually to individuals whose selfless service as entertainers perpetuates the legacy of the late Bob Hope.   Recorded July 1, 2021 Episode Sponsored by: Surfshark and Passport America.   From WIKIPEDIA: Michael James Peterson (born August 7, 1959) is an American country music artist. He made his debut on the country music scene in 1997 with his self-titled debut album, which produced five Top 40 hits on Billboards Hot Country Singles & Tracks, including the Number One hit "From Here to Eternity". Peterson's second album, 1999's Being Human, produced two more chart singles, and a third album, 2004's Modern Man, was issued only in Europe. Peterson also made a cameo appearance on an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger. After attending high school at Richland High School in Richland, WA, Peterson later earned a football scholarship to Pacific Lutheran University, where he won a national championship. One of his teammates, Brad Westering, was also working as a producer for Deniece Williams at the time. Through Westering, Peterson got the opportunity to write songs for Williams, as well as gospel headliners The Imperials. This all led to the production of Peterson's first release, "Michael Peterson", a collection of contemporary Christian songs, on Sparrow Records in 1986. Eventually, Peterson traveled to Nashville, Tennessee where he started working as a professional songwriter, collaborating with other writers such as Josh Leo and Robert Ellis Orrall.   Orrall suggested that Peterson sign to a recording contract, and in December 1996, Peterson was signed to Reprise Records, a division of the Warner Music Group. His debut single, "Drink, Swear, Steal & Lie", was released that year, charting at No. 3 on the Billboard country charts and No. 86 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was the lead-off single to Peterson's self-titled debut album (not to be confused with the Christian album of the same name from 1986), which also produced four more chart singles. The second one, "From Here to Eternity", became Peterson's first and only Number One hit, while "Too Good to Be True" reached No. 8. Following it were "When the Bartender Cries" at No. 37 and "By the Book" at No. 19. The album was certified gold by the RIAA for shipping 500,000 copies in the U.S. Also in 1997, Peterson was named Male Artist of the Year by Billboard. In 1998, Peterson appeared on Jenny Simpson's 1998 self-titled album, singing duet vocals on "Grow Young with You". Peterson made a guest appearance on a 1998 episode of Walker, Texas Ranger called "Eyes of a Ranger."   Peterson released his second album, Being Human, in 1999.[3] Its lead-off single, "Somethin' 'bout a Sunday", failed to reach top 40, and "Sure Feels Real Good" peaked at No. 39. Also in 1999, Peterson co-wrote the title track to Travis Tritt's album No More Looking over My Shoulder, which was released as a single. After a Super Hits album for the label, Peterson exited Warner Music Group.   After his departure from Warner, Peterson signed to Monument Records Nashville. His third studio album, Modern Man, was to have been released in 2002 for the label. Although its title track and "Lesson in Goodbye" both entered the country charts (with the former being the highest-debuting single of his career), the album itself was not issued in the US due to a restructuring of the label's parent company. AGR, a European record label, acquired the album and issued it in Europe in 2004. Six singles were released from it in Europe, including Peterson's own rendition of "No More Looking over My Shoulder." Also included on the album was the track "Right About Now", which Ty Herndon later released from his 2007 album of the same name.   Peterson's songs have been covered by a number of artists. Though his last charting song was in 2002, he continues to release albums and performs at military benefits.   https://www.facebook.com/hotcountrypodcast https://www.hotcountrypodcast.com  https://www.facebook.com/OfficialChrisMcKay

Beginning his journey in Langley, British Columbia, Rod Black was born into a professional rodeo family, moving regularly around Canada in his early life. After settling in the Prairies, Rod attended high school in both Regina and Saskatoon, where he immersed himself in vintage classics from southern rock pioneers and original country outlaws. The inspired mix of rock and country influences that some liken to Kid Rock crossed with Uncle Kracker gave Rod a distinctive musical flavour that has led to breakthrough success in both genres. First signed to Island/Def Jam Records New York as the frontman of the rock group Jet Black Stare, Rod powered his way to #26 on the US Billboard Rock Charts with the band's rip-roaring 2009 single, “Ready to Roll”. With Jet Black Stare on hiatus, Rod tapped into his country roots to collaborate with longtime friend and CCMA award-winning producer Jeff Johnson on 2014's “Keepin' On”, which reached the Canadian Billboard Top 20 and earned him 2015 nominations from the Canadian Radio Music Awards for Best New Group or Solo Artist (Country) and the BC Country Music Association for Male Artist of the Year and the Ray McAuley Horizon Award. In 2018, Rod re-released “Keepin' On” to the US market, where it successfully hit the Top 80 on the US Country Music Row Charts. 2019 brought a new single, “Good Times”, produced by his former Jet Black Star bandmate Dan Swinimer, which hit #1 on CBC Country/Sirius XM Canada and stayed at that position for an incredible 16+ weeks. After reuniting with Jeff Johnson, Rod released the 2020 single, “Walk On”, which hit #1 on the iTunes Top 100 Country Singles Chart (South Africa), and has led to a new EP – front-lined by Black's 2021 singles “Barely Gettin' By” and currently “Laketown” – that is due later this year.

How does a young rock artist crack today's music code of formulaic beats & electronia? 1st, he must have a disobedient spirit that can surpass an industry saturated by computerized music; next he must obtain enough cultural significance like rockers from the past & add in sincere, stirring passion. And Griffin's “no excuses” rock act delivers it all! He doesn't fall in line with what's already out there. Instead, he's created his own retro rock sound his “GrifFANS” live for. Griffin's stage experience started at 8 years of age & has continued with a full cycle of alternating years learning to play each instrument of rock. And he's played hundreds of shows: with Disney artist Zendaya across the country & Canada, The House of Blues, The Granada, The Gas Monkey, Gilley's, Lava Cantina, Westfield Presents London, Legacy Hall, just to name a few. At the age of 13, he won the Texas 10 under 20 Guitar contest at the Dallas International Guitar Festival. In 2016 & 2017, Griffin won 3 categories at London's Fab Charts Awards (Best Male Artist, Best Video & Best Song). He was also seen on THE VOICE. Then, in 2018, Griffin won Indie Guitarist of the Year in London; he also received 3 Josie Award nominations (Artist of the Year, Entertainer of the Year & Vocalist of the Year). Griffin was also asked to join the prestigious BROTHERHOOD of the GUITAR and represent Music Man Guitars, Ernie Ball Strings & Taylor Acoustic Guitars. That same year, he also scooped up FHR Radio Entertainment's RISING STAR award for Male Artist & was nominated again by the Fab Charts, the Josie Awards, Radio WigWam Awards & Indie Star Radio Awards. Griffin was also nominated for the highest designation an artist can receive from the Texas State legislature, “Texas State Artist – State Musician”. Griffin also earned a GOLDEN TICKET to Hollywood on American Idol & received high praise from Katy Perry & Lionel Richie for his level of talent & musicianship. The release of Griffin's debut album, “Believe It”, gave the world their 1st taste of Griffin's style of rock & roll – raw, retro & remarkable! From the powerful ballad “Some Kind of Love Song” to his rock anthem “Believe It”, every note that is sung and sound that is heard was performed by Griffin. And his promise to “KEEP ROCK ALIVE” continues with the early 2020 release of “Lead Me” and the recent release of his latest song, a ballad, called “Heart Full of Love”, which is already charting in Australia & the UK. 2021 is set to reveal the latest chapter in Griffin's journey as he unleashes his band, The Real Rock Revolution, and a slew of singles that will rock your socks off! Aaron Pritchett’s legacy continues to be unstoppable. His authentic desire to connect with his fans, whether it be onstage, via his digital platforms, in person or through his music, has sustained and grown a robust and loyal fan base for well over a decade. Artistically, Aaron Pritchett continues to adapt, and evolve, while refusing to abandon the down-home sincerity in his music that has been his trademark since his career inception. Pritchett has charted anthems like “Dirt Road In Em, “Let’s Get Rowdy,” “Hold My Beer (Certified GOLD),” and also appealed to the softer side with powerful hits like “Done You Wrong,” and his recent top 5 smash - “When A Momma’s Boy Meets A Daddy’s Girl.” “Country Music always appealed to my soul because the songs tackled subject matter that may have been taboo for other formats and told REAL stories about REAL people. Those stories were a lot like mine. I was going fishing, camping, and riding buses to hockey tournaments in even smaller towns than the one I grew up in, life was a lot more country than rock and roll. That feeling resonated with me and I strive to convey that in my music to this day”. “The Score” released shortly after Aaron Pritchett opened multiple SOLD OUT shows for Garth Brooks, hit the market on June 24th, 2016 and debuted at #1 Canadian on the country charts. The first single “Dirt Road In ‘Em” broke industry paradigms by landing inside the top #10 on the country radio singles chart, marking Aaron’s first return to the Top 10 in over 8 years. The sophomore single, “Out Of The Blue” scored a top 15 spot at radio in November 2016, and the aforementioned “When A Momma’s Boy Meets A Daddy’s Girl,” landed at #5 on the Canadian country singles chart and was the #1 most played Canadian track – as well! Recently, the industry has caught on to what the fans have always known – which is that Aaron Pritchett belongs in the pantheon of Canada’s most elite artists. In 2017, Pritchett was welcomed back to the nomination circles with a Juno nom for Country Album of the Year, as well as multiple CCMA Award nominations, including Male Artist of the Year! His 2012 debut album entitled Jumped Right In generated 5 singles in the Canadian Hot 100, including the GOLD selling title-track, garnered five CCMA  Award nominations and was nominated for Country Album of the Year at the 2013 JUNO Awards. Following a slew of sold out tour dates with Florida Georgia Line and Bob Seger, Dallas released 2013's Tippin' Point EP making his debut in the U.S. and setting the bar high while representing Canadian Country music's cutting edge sound. Amassing national appeal, he earned three 2014 CCMA Award nominations including Single, Album and Male Artist of the Year and is the first Canadian country artist to have 8 singles reach the Top 10 at radio in Canada. Lifted - the latest album from Dallas Smith featuring the #1 single "Wastin' Gas" - reunites him with prized producer Joey Moi (Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen).  John Conlee Country legend John Conlee’s success began in the late 1970s. His first release, “Back Side Of Thirty” went nowhere fast. Three more singles also met with a minimum success, although they all charted. But in March of 1978, the label released “Rose Colored Glasses,” a song John wrote, which became a huge hit as well as becoming his signature song. In January of 1979, the label re-released “Back Side of Thirty” which went on to become a No. 1 record, and the hits continued. The Conlee hit list includes songs like “Lady Lay Down,” “Friday Night Blues,” “Miss Emily’s Picture,” “Busted,” “I Don’t Remember Loving You.” John has just released an album called Classics 2 featuring many of his big hits. Marshall Dane’s infectious blend of country and rock is set to blaze a trail in 2014. Country by definition, but fueled by rock and roll and infected with a watermelon-sized helping of hope, love and salvation, Marshall’s the kind of guy you want to have on your side when the going gets tough in this world and his new album, One Of These Days is set to be your alibi.     Launched in May 2013, in time for last year’s CMAO Awards – for which he was nominated in several categories including Male Artist and Album Of The Year – and featuring the single and title track, “One Of These Days”, Canadian Country Artist Marshall Dane’s latest album puts life back in to the swing of things, driven by a swirling blast of fabulous melodies that gives you a country rush right from the get-go.     One of These Days has country in its veins, topped up with doses of rock, pop and a side helping of soul. This latest collection is never far away from a radio-friendly corner, whether it’s the thrill of “Living It Up” or the reflective energy of “How Do I Get There From Her,” or the rollicking new single, “Alcohol Abuse,” set for February 2014 release in the US and worldwide.     Born in Southern Ontario, Marshall grazed on a rich fix of music, from the country sounds of his preacher dad – “He first taught me how to play “– through his mum – in his own words the strongest, toughest, hardest working woman he’s ever met – who played piano in the evenings to his four sisters and two brothers and through his own musical discoveries from John Denver to Michael Jackson  He has opened for Alan Jackson and Emerson Drive, played at the 2011 CCMA Awards and toured on his own.
