Your standard labs came back normal, but your cells might still be starving for energy. If you're doing everything right (the supplements, the diet, the sleep) but still can't shake the exhaustion, the problem might not show up on any bloodwork. What most providers never check is what's happening inside your cells: specifically how well your mitochondria are producing energy, and whether your circulation is quietly declining over time. In this episode, you'll learn: Why standard lab panels miss what's actually driving fatigue at the cellular level What mitochondria really do and how their decline leads to brain fog, weakness, and exhaustion The key supplements with real science behind them: CoQ10, L-carnitine, creatine, lipoic acid, and NAD The truth about nitric oxide: when it supports circulation and when it becomes a problem Why blood flow may be one of the most overlooked factors in chronic fatigue and long COVID recovery Guest: Dr. Luke Bucci is the Chief Scientific Officer of Juvenon, a clinical nutritionist, and a recognized leader in nutritional science with 37+ years in the dietary supplement industry working with Nobel Prize-winning scientists. In this episode, host Bret Schanzenbach, President & CEO of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, sits down with Scott Morris, local Encinitas native, serial entrepreneur, and co-founder/general partner of The Bermuda Club.Scott traces his journey from La Costa Canyon High School to UCLA and the University of Chicago Law School, then into big-firm life at Latham & Watkins during the 2008 financial crisis. When litigation work dried up, he leaned into his entrepreneurial side, leaving the firm to build Rochambeau, a fun, flexible, kid-proof eyewear brand that has expanded into kids' prescription eyewear, including a Blippi-branded line. He also recounts co-founding Detroit City Distillery with friends from law school. From there, Scott explains how his love of business building and community evolved into The Bermuda Club, a private-membership space in Carlsbad designed around his mantra “Work well, play well, be well.” The club combines:Coworking: Coffee-shop-style open workspaces, private offices, and phone boothsWellness: Gym, custom sauna, cold plunges, and on-site trainers and wellness partnersSocial & Play: Four Full Swing golf simulators, putting greens, events, and member-driven clubsScott and Bret highlight the organic community that has formed within the club—businesses like Low Notes canned wine operating from the space, the Triangle Traders investment club, a member-barber offering on-site cuts, and educational talks from local experts like MedHero. They also discuss:The club's membership cap of 200 and its near-full statusUnique corporate and private events, including simulator golf scrambles and holiday partiesStrong partnerships with Carlsbad's golf ecosystem (Full Swing, Callaway, TravisMathew, up-and-coming putter brands)Plans to expand Bermuda Club locations into Sorrento Valley/Del Mar, Rancho Bernardo, and Costa Mesa, powered in part by member investorsIf you're curious about where high-energy coworking, wellness, golf, and community intersect in North County San Diego, this conversation is a must-listen.Quotes“Our slogan is ‘Work well, play well, be well'—that's The Bermuda Club in a nutshell.”“We thought the golf simulators would be the star, but they turned out to be the bonus. The real magic is the people.”“We've already had multiple businesses start from people who met at the club—that's the power of community.”“Some members come for the golf, some for the gym, but most stay because they've found their people.”“If you'd told me a year ago we'd already be raising money for three more clubs, I'd have thought you were nuts.” Did this episode have a special impact on you? So much pastoral energy is lost when teams don't function well. Anxiety rises, trust erodes and the mission of the church suffers. But when teams are healthy, aligned and generous with one another, churches flourish. In this ‘Best of' episode of The Pastor's Heart, over the Australian Summer, we're joined by Peter Blanch (Reach Australia), Michael Davies (Lighthouse Church, Gorokan) and Megan Stevens (Vine Church, Surry Hills) to talk about leading up — how assistant ministers, associates and key volunteers can help teams work better, support senior leaders and care for the whole church ecosystem. We talk identity in Christ, trust, feedback, confidentiality, handling complaints and the often-unspoken dynamics of second-chair leadership — including the role of spouses. The Church Cohttp://www.thechurchco.com is a website and app platform built specifically for churches. Hey humans, we're continuing our #WorkWell series, all about mental health in the workplace. In this episode, we're getting real about the difference between just being tired and being truly, deeply depleted. I know that feeling because I was just there myself. After we recorded our last episode on burnout, I felt almost out of my body, completely depleted and neurologically dysregulated. The only thing that could help was true rest and disconnection. So for this week, I have an exercise for you. It's an ask to take just five minutes every day to journal and really tune in to how you're feeling. Ask yourself: Do you feel recharged after a break? What do you actually enjoy right now? How often are you feeling irritable or numb? The goal isn't to fix it immediately, but just to recognize where you are. It's about figuring out if you're just tired, or if you've crossed over into depletion. Take this week to just check in with yourself. I hope you'll join me on this journey to work well. With light and love, we'll see you soon. Stacie More episodes at StacieBaird.com.

Read along to practice your English and to learn the English phrases TO WORK WELL WITH OTHERS and A TEAM PLAYERIn this English lesson, I wanted to help you learn the English phrase to work well with others. When you are working and you are working with other people, either you work well with others or you don't work well with others. Some people work better by themselves. Some people enjoy working with others and they work well with others. I'll explain what I am in a bit. You might be surprised, but hopefully you are someone who works well with others. If you were applying for a job, they might say to you in the interview, do you work well with others? And hopefully you can say, yes, I work well with others. I enjoy working with other people.WANT FREE ENGLISH LESSONS? GO TO YOUTUBE AND SEARCH, "BOB THE CANADIAN"If you enjoy these lessons please consider supporting me at: http://www.patreon.com/bobthecanadianThe other phrase I wanted to teach you today is a team player. If you work again with a lot of other people, hopefully you're a team player. You're someone who is easy to work with. You help other people. You are kind. Hopefully other people help you as well. Hopefully you are a team player. By the way, this doesn't mean you have to be on a sports team. You can be a team player at work. Like at work, I try to be a team player. I try to be helpful. I try to work well with others. So to review when you work well with others, I'm just laughing because you're going to. I'm going to read a comment in a sec that you might laugh at as well. When you work well with others, it means you are kind and nice and it's easy to work with you. And when you are a team player, it means essentially the same thing. But hey, let's look at a comment from a previous video. This comment is from Tammy. Your English lessons are amazing and you don't need to have a heavy hitter to collaborate with you. And my response Thanks. I don't really work well with others anyways. So thanks Tammy for that comment. And let me now explain. I work well with others if it's the right people. I hope that makes sense. I hope that doesn't make me sound kind of like a jerk if I'm working with the right people. I think people also enjoy working with me, but my preference is to work by myself. I think that's one of the reasons why I became a teacher. So again, I do actually work well with others, but if I am given a choice, I prefer to work by myself. It's one of the reasons why I think YouTube works for me. I have an idea. I make a lesson, I edit the video, I put it online. I don't have to rely on anyone else.So I'm home again. It's a Thursday and it's a snow day. So it happened. I'm not sure if Brent had a snow day. I know he mentioned in his Members Only video that he had heard I might have a snow day. So I'm wondering if over there in Maine they had one. We got again quite a bit of ice. So a lot of freezing rain you can see here. Like I'm not sure if it shows up really well on camera, but there is a layer of ice on this tree. I'm gonna try and remember to go a bit slower when I show you stuff like this so you get a good chance to see it.And what that has done is it's made it... You can hear the snow as well. Like it's. There's a layer of ice on top of the snow. Not sure how well that shows up, but yes, a little bit slick out here. There's some icicles even on this tree here. You can see some tiny. Where's my hand? There's some tiny little icicles and you can see that. My driveway. You can see my footsteps from my walk this morning. But it's. Yeah, it's kind of like ice. Like it's. There's a layer of water underneath but there's this thin layer of ice on top.So another snow day. Woohoo. I love them. Anyways, I hope you work well withSupport the show

Balancing work and well-being is a constant challenge for many, particularly for leaders who are managing both people and organizational commitments. Well-being easily slips down the priority list when pressing accountabilities come up, and it can feel like a “nice-to-have” rather than a necessity. However, well-being is a critical foundation for productivity, engagement, collaboration, and leadership, and research increasingly shows that when this foundation is lacking, it affects the overall health of the business. In today's episode, Emma Rose is joined by Conversant consultant and partner Kell Delaney and guest Eleanor Allen. Welcome back to the kitchen table. Bethany shares some of her best parenting principles that come from scripture. These teachings guide her through the beautiful chaos of family life, and she has seen the good that comes from applying them with her children. One key belief she holds is that work as a parent isn't measured by outcomes but by the effort put in. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds her, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” This perspective keeps her focused on the love and commitment she brings to parenting, not just the results. She often reminds herself that her children's efforts are what truly matter, not just the results. “In all things, are they putting in the effort?” she asks. Framing conversations around this belief creates a supportive atmosphere where her kids can learn and grow.
