In this episode of the Mompreneur Guide podcast, Amy from Daisy Pops shares her journey from being a high school math teacher to starting a successful cake pop business while juggling motherhood. She talks about the growth of her business, how she integrates her children into it, and the kind of mindset it takes to maintain your own brand. We delve into important topics like growing consistently without burning out, delegating tasks so you can stay doing what you do best, and, of course, the mompreneur experience. Amy also provides an inside look at her cake pop creation process, her innovative use of 3D printers in the business, and her plans for the holiday season. Hearing how Amy builds her business around her unique skillset, leaving the 'shoulds' behind, was my favorite topic of all. In this podcast episode I was a guest on the Mompreneur Guide Podcast and we talked about what it means to us to be a mom. I think this is such a great interview to listen to as we prepare for mothers day this year and look back on what our relationships with our own mothers looked like and how that shapes the relationships we are building with our own children. We dive in on what kind of mom are you and what kind of mom do you want to be? Are you aligned with those two questions? If not, what are a few things you can do to start doing today to truly be the mom you want to be. We have the ability to shape generations. We can look at how our mothers mothered and from there pick and choose which parts we want to bring into the next generations and even start new traditions moving forward. If we're open to the idea we can look back on our own childhood and see what we want them to remember and what kind of legacy we want to pass down and also discover new experiences along the way. We also discuss how this is a joint effort and we have the ability to listen to our children's desires and allow that to help create a blueprint for our family moving forward. We can start creating a vision for what that will look like and pivot and adjust as needed and we may not be there yet but we certainly have the ability to achieve those goals if we keep pursuing them. Hey fellow mama, how do you make time for work AND me time? Today, our conversation highlights the importance of understanding and supporting the journeys of moms in entrepreneurship, regardless of where they are in the spectrum of motherhood. Megan Moran is a third-generation entrepreneur who is the owner of the Mompreneur Guide, a podcast host, author, and TV show creator. She grew up in a household where the motto was, Do what you love and the money will come. The mom of two shares her passion for being present with her children while still pursuing her dreams and passions. Her stories illustrate that you can do the same! Megan explains how the term "mompreneur" came about and why it is important to entrepreneurial mothers. Megan believes being a mompreneur creates a deep connection point for other moms who understand the challenges and priorities of balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship. We acknowledge that women in different stages of motherhood have different needs, and her methodology aims to support moms at all stages of the spectrum. Here are the three things that are essential to all moms on their journey as mompreneurs: Strategy Support Self-care Strategy is not just about business but is also about home and life strategy. Support is not just about childcare but is also about support with spouses, friends, and communities. Self-care is crucial for filling up one's cup and stabilizing oneself. We also discuss the importance of prioritization and capacity for self-care, focusing on the word capacity and how it goes hand in hand with self-care. Highlights of this episode: Megan Moran talks about being a third-generation mompreneur and growing up in a family where almost everyone runs their own business. Being a mompreneur is a different (not better or worse) experience than being an entrepreneur without children, and there is a special connection among mompreneurs. Megan shares her methodology for supporting moms on their entrepreneurial journey. The importance of cultivating a supportive community, including like-minded women, to provide mutual guidance and support. ✨Go to michellefox.com/podcast for SHOW NOTES, TRANSCRIPT, and a link to this YOUTUBE episode.✨ Links mentioned in this episode: Megan Moran Website Megan Moran Instagram Mompreneur Guide Podcast Connect with Michelle: Free meal planner: michellefox.com/planner Instagram: @michellefoxlove Facebook: @michellefoxlove Website: michellefox.com

She is the Founder of Charge Your Worth Academy and Co-Founder of Robyn Laurel & Company. Angelica helps driven beauty professionals transform their business and go from being overworked and not making profit to a full time recurring revenue through her 6 months group coaching program Charge Your Worth Academy. Angelica's Story Hello This is Angelica, I was once in a place of being overworked and not making a real profit, but in 2015 a shift took place as I was becoming a mother. My body was changing whether I liked it or not and so was my mindset. I knew I could no longer spend countless hours behind the chair and I needed to increase my profit while working less so I could enjoy my new bundle of joy. This is the one thing most entrepreneurs struggle with. I'm here to help you make that same shift I made 6 years ago. Angelica's Background I worked as a hair stylist for over 17 years. I am currently the co-founder of Robyn Laurél Haircare Products, a Certified Cosmetologist Educator, 8 years as a salon owner, and 6 years as an educator. I love doing hair just as much as I love teaching, so merging the two passions was definitely a no brainer. The goal is to bring unity to a diversified beauty industry. Angelica's Mission My mission is to help you run your business and not let it run you. Step into a CEO entrepreneurial game, and create the FINANCIAL FREEDOM for yourself. I am dedicated to to helping people get off the struggle bus and build an established business, restructure how they charge for services, build a system of continuous cash flow, work less and increase their income by following my developed blueprint through my signature program Charge Your Worth Academy. I know the struggle of building a successful business behind the chair and it could be lonely but I have built my successful business from the ground up with community! No more doing business alone. I am an expert at working with the subconscious mind. I teach women how to release unprocessed emotions and reparent memories that are holding them back from their desire to live their best life in regards to their marriage, wealth and well-being. I am a Certified Hypnotist, Teacher of Psychology & Marriage Coach. I have appeared in major media publications such as MacClean's Magazine, CTV, the London Free Press and has been a guest on dozens of podcasts & blogs. I have spent many years studying the Law of Attraction, Law of Vibration, the conscious and subconscious mind, along with Neuroscience, Epigenetics, EFT (emotional freedom technique), and Energetics of Human Beings. We have the power to change our brain. I took a deep dive into neuroscience when I experienced a brain bleed. The plasticity of the brain is why I can walk and write again. Through reinforcement of tasks and thoughts, I created new neural pathways. This same theory that works with the plasticity of the brain is the foundation of the Soulify Method, which has helped many women make incredible transformations within their relationships, wealth and well-being. I teach women how to become aligned and connected with their true self. Once in alignment, they learn how to 100% trust their inner knowing, release old beliefs and stuck emotions. When the ingrained beliefs and unwanted emotions are out of the way, they instinctually take action and make decisions based on their intuition without fear and doubt. The result- they 100% manifest the relationships, wealth and well-being that they have always wanted into their lives. It was unbelievable! Literally, they create the life they dreamed of. It feels like magic (but it is rooted in science). Their desires start coming effortlessly, with such ease and flow once the blocks are out of the way. And here I am ready to give you the powerful and profound tools to 100% shift your life & bring your wildest dreams to reality using the POWER of hypno-journeying. It's all about conscious living making the decision of what you want your relationship to look and feel like down the road. It's so easy to get wrapped up in parenthood and forget who you are, today we talk about how to avoid that and find the balance in parenting. Who Is Miranda Clark: I am a mental health therapist, working primarily with couples. My favorite couples are those who are new/expectant parents and navigating the relationship changes that occur once a baby is brought home. I am a Bringing Baby Home, and 7 Principles educator from the Gottman institute and have been in private practice in the state of Oregon for over 10 years. I live with my husband of almost 17 years, and together have two daughters aged 8 and 5. When I'm not working, I'm carting kiddos to and from soccer while also squeezing in as many camping trips as possible :) In this episode we are talking about maternal therapy and it's importance not just for you but for your entire family because when mom is happy, everyone is happy. Motherhood does not mean sacrifice, it means embracing your new meaning of a caregiver, a love giver and a joy giver. It all starts with you and you are your priority. About Kate Kripke: Motherhood is one of the most profound human experiences—miraculous and life-changing. It gives some a renewed sense of purpose while leaving others feeling anxious and confused. As a mom, I've experienced both. I've dedicated my life's work to helping women navigate the challenges that motherhood invariably brings. I coach mothers of all ages across the continuum of circumstances and stages of motherhood. I use my personal experience for perspective and my extensive training and real world practice to help mothers establish and maintain habits in self care that result in happy, healthy families. My approach is solution focused, positive, and geared at helping you to uncover the deep knowledge and wisdom that you already possess. I believe that every individual is his, her or their own expert. My work is centred around empowering women to tap into their inner expertise so they can thrive. We know through decades of research that healthy relationships and attachments with children starts with healthy parents. And that children in healthy attachments with their parents are more likely to thrive themselves.
