Episode 101 of the Everyman Movie Review! Capone will be a lesson to me about the finickiness of the industry that I want so much to be a part of. Josh Trank was one of the hottest up and coming filmmakers. Then, he had an incident with his first big-budget movie Fantastic Four. He laid low, and got a chance to redeem himself with another fantastic script and a cast with the likes of Tom Hardy (arguably the greatest actor of our generation), Linda Carellini, Matt Dillon, and Noel Fisher. Then - the universe intervened and theaters were closed a month prior to its release. But even if it's only ever available on streaming, the cast and subject got me excited about this one.
