CANES WIN AGAIN! Svech - Hat Trick Fast - two goals Aho - FOUR ASSISTS Burns - THREE assists Raanta - was okay, but he just needs to be okay … Carolina didn’t allow a shot on goal for the final 17:10 of the game But top guys HAVE to be top guys . Aho has been on a tear. The stars stepped up when they needed to. NC State loses Pop Tarts Bowl, 28-19 Had to go back and watch this … good game overall, but NC State couldn’t overcome the deficit Offense was mostly KC Conception, and Brennan Armstrong as a running QB: is the loss disappointing for NC State? Absolutely! But there's still a lot to be excited for... The real winner - POP TARTS!! SPORTS BETTING So the deadline has passed for operators to apply for mobile sports betting by the ‘go-live’ date in the State of North Carolina … that deadline was Wednesday, but we know the 7 sports betting operators who have applied … FanDuel, BetMGM, DraftKings, Fanatics, bet365, Penn Sports Interactive (ESPN Bet), Underdog Sports Wagering. Hornets have a deal with bet365, Hurricanes with Fanatics, PGA Tour has FanDuel, and Quail Hollow is set with ESPN Bet Committee has 60 days to review the applications, and betting won’t be live by the time the Super Bowl on Feb. 11. Commission has until June 15th to launch, but can do it sooner. Let’s say it is 60 days - looking at beginning of March? Maybe March 2nd for NC State at UNC? Then right after that on March 4th you have Duke vs NC State … Duke vs UNC on March 9th ACC Tournament starting March 12th … THEN NCAA Tournament?!?! State of North Carolina could risk losing A LOT of money

Philadelphia's soda tax leads to a decrease in soda sales and a rise in alcohol sales while leaving drinkers without mixers. Pop-Tart Bowl mascot stunt is hilariously morbid. UNC Football - disappointing end to the season Everything about yesterday looked bad -first play - 75yd TD, INT in the endzone, short punt goes off players leg recovered by WVU, WVU punt return TD -75-80% of people in attendance were WVU fans -they didn’t want to be there Carolina lost 5 of their last 7 games … only wins were in triple-OT against Duke who was playing with their third string QB in true freshman Grayson Loftus, and Campbell, who’s an FCS school NFL Hall of Fame Finalists announced - Torry Holt & Julius Peppers announced, no Steve Smith Sr. Canes get a big win - Aho was awesome; Kochetkov was solid; Svech looked like good Svech -PowerPlay was 3 of 6, Aho with his 500th career point, and 501, and 502, AND 503 … stars had to step up, and they did Aho, 1g 3a, Burns with 1 & 1, Svech with 1 & 1, Jarvis with 1 & 1, Bunting was effective on the PP, Kochetkov made 35 saves, including 15 in the 2nd period Nashville controlled a lot of play, especially early, and even in the 2nd period, especially at 5-on-5, but Carolina locked it down in the third and stayed out of the box NC State competes in the Pop Tarts Bowl in Orlando A contrast of seasons between NC State & UNC … While UNC felt checked out, it feels like NC State is all in … yes, players missing due to portal, NFL, etc., but every team deals with it Chance for a 10-win season, first under Doeren, keep the positive vibes going, Brennan Armstrong

Jim provides his reaction to the Packers' win by asking why fans aren't giving Joe Barry and apology for how good the defense has been. Matt, Jim and Primetime all share their current feeling about Jordan Love after perhaps his best win of the season during the Love-O-Meter. Chris Orr joins the show to talk Badger football's win against the Gophers. Jim starts by asking Chris if he would take a bite out of the mascot in the Pop Tart Bowl, and then they get into a conversation about how the team's roster will change with the transfer portal opening next week and what the team's upcoming Bowl game could look like for some of the team's (likely) outgoing players like Braelon Allen.

The Helium Boys Podcast returns with Shotgun Spratling and Chris Trevino back behind the microphones to react to USC's abysmal showing in a 38-20 rivalry loss to UCLA in the Trojans final Pac-12 game. Over 108 minutes, the Helium Boys break down the lackluster showing in the Crosstown Showdown that left them feeling like parents that are more disappointed than angry after a child's misdeeds and left the Trojans with a 7-5 record. The Helium Boys episode opens with the 'Two-Minute Drill' as each gives his initial reactions to the Trojans' loss to UCLA and the biggest things that stood out, including the continuation of the same story that has been seen throughout the season with an additional subplot of constantly giving the ball back to UCLA. In the Stock Up/Stock Down segment, the podcasting duo discuss who/what impressed, including Brenden Rice playing angry and collecting his fifth career 100-yard game, freshman defensive lineman Elijah Hughes getting his most extended run of the season and the Superman efforts of Caleb Williams that we've likely seen for the last time in cardinal and gold. The Helium Boys also look into what stocks took a hit over the weekend with USC continuing to have tackling woes on defense and struggling to block up front on the offensive side. Shotgun also poses the question to Chris of which offseason slogan was the worst between the 2012 team's "Prep, Not Hype" and 2023's "The longer it goes, the better we get." They also get diverted and go down a rabbit hole on the Pop Tart Bowl and end up having to present their favorite flavors. Throughout the show, Chris and Shotgun also look forward at USC's impending hire of a defensive coordinator and some of the things the new coach is going to have to address immediately. The Helium Boys then answer your questions from Twitter and Instagram discussing areas/players where USC regressed, how the transfer portal will reshape the Trojans' roster this offseason, preferred offensive systems and whether Jim Leonhard could be "Grinch-like." They also break down their three favorite holidays. Then during the overtime portion of the 'Take It or Leave It' section, Chris questions Shotgun on celebrity Thanksgiving guests and their side dishes of choice.
