M7 Real Estate chief executive Richard Croft speaks to Proactive following the release of a third quarter update from Mailbox REIT that revealed a temporary reduction in its dividend. Croft says that the measure will help to make sure that the Mailbox REIT "has sufficient liquidity to deal with any interest rate rises that come next year." Croft describes the actual performance of the Mailbox site in Birmingham as "pretty strong" and highlights the progress made so far in creating an "amenity space" from what was once "better known as a retail location." He also revealed the reason for his optimism regarding the medium-term future of regional real estate. #ProactiveInvestors #M7realestate #mailbox #mailboxreit Leave these in as standard then add any extras you think would work #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

On June 26 at 10 am PT, LA Opera On Air will return to KUSC radio station with a broadcast of "Billy Budd." With an all-male cast of 25 solo roles, and vast choral and orchestral forces, all conducted by James Conlon, it's the most grandly scaled of Britten's many operas. Liam Bonner, Richard Croft and Greer Grimsley take the leading roles. And, of course, June is also Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) Pride Month. Benjamin Britten, the composer, was an openly gay man in a time and place where homosexuality was illegal. In this Behind the Curtain conversation, LA Opera's Connects Vice President Stacy Brightman speaks with Dr. Mitchell Morris, UCLA's chair of Musicology and chair for LGBTQ Studies; Dr. Morris speaks about Britten, his work, and how or if this opera is relevant in relation to how far the LGBTQ community has come since the opera's premiere in 1951. Please note, this frank conversation touches on adult themes and may not be appropriate for all listeners.
Mailbox REIT PLC's Richard Croft talks to Proactive London after their London listing debut becoming the first to list on the International Property Securities Exchange. The company, which owns the Mailbox, a large prime office-led mixed-use property in Birmingham, has been admitted to the FCA-regulated Wholesale segment of the IPSX. It has raised £28.85mln at £1 per share by selling 30.5% of the business to institutional backers and family offices, including IWG, the owner of Regus. M7 Real Estate will hold the remainder post-float.
Transparency, liquidity, and listed real estate I had a fascinating discussion with Richard Croft, Co-Founder and Chairman of leading investment group, M7 and David Delaney, CEO of new property stock exchange IPSX about their first single real estate asset Initial Public Offering (IPO). Richard and David have exceptional credentials in real estate and finance, with years of experience, and billions of transactions under their belts. Richard is the Executive Chairman and co-founder of the M7 Real Estate group, and has been involved in over €8 billion of transactions across the UK and Europe during his 26 year career in real estate, founded and sold a European real estate fund management business, and is a Non-Executive Director of IPSX. David is IPSX's Group CEO. His previous experience includes managing $1bn book of business at Thomson Reuters as Head of Strategic Clients and Solutions, and 25 years at Credit Suisse (where he became Head of Fixed Income Sales for interest rate products) and Barclays Bank. Richard and David share a deep frustration with the issues that prevent investors from selecting and investing in assets for themselves, the lack of transparency in the listed real estate market, and the lack of liquidity available for many real estate assets. Their current mission is to solve these issues, through an unprecedented single asset listing of Mailbox REIT on IPSX. So, will it work? Highlights of the episode include: What liquidity is really worth to investors The high perceived risk of anything new The problems investors face with open-ended and closed-ended real estate funds Whether investors really value choice and democracy in investing Resources: Guest websites: www.themailboxreit.com / www.ipsx.com / www.m7re.eu Anna's website: www.annaclareharper.com & www.spi.capital Anna's LinkedIn page: https://www.linkedin.com/in/annaclareharper/

Does any gay icon better illustrate the Anglo-Australian tapestry of Aural Fixation than Kylie Minogue? Just why it took so long for us to sit down with the Princess of Antipodean Pop is unexplainable and inexcusable, but we’re here now, spinning around, so ploise move out of our way. After blazing through the late 80s as Stock Aitken Waterman’s poster girl and notching up four UK number ones, Kylie found herself at a reinvention crossroads in the early 90s, trialling different sounds and images over various albums and record labels. Struggling to find her place in the music industry took its toll and was followed by personal losses and a bout of depression, so at the new millennium’s dawn, Ms. Minogue saw fit to strap on the gold hot pants for a triumphant comeback – in the shape of a love letter to the disco ball. We know Kylie’s a gay icon, you know Kylie’s a gay icon, we all know she’s got a stonking arse and a back catalogue to rival any pop queen of reinvention, but what’s so special about Light Years? Where does it sit in her journey, why did it have the impact it did, and why is she so universally adored? Is she even universally adored? One thing we learn and agree on pretty early is that Kylie Minogue is not all she might initially seem, and is certainly not to be underestimated. Our Spotify companion playlist features pretty much every song and artist mentioned in the episode, as well as some Kylie nuggets we know you’ll enjoy. PS a huge shout out to Richard Croft, the creator of many an online pop treasure trove, but specifically the Impossible Princess episode of his Into the Groove podcast, and endorse it as a wonderful follow-up episode to... this one!
M7’s Richard Croft tells Damian Wild about his new role at the business and how Brexit may force him to make fundamental changes to the way it operates. LandAid deputy Alice Lamb also joins the podcast, to talk about this week’s LandAid Day fundraiser and the charity’s month-long Steptober challenge.
The demise of Lehman Brothers and the global financial crisis that followed is the most significant economic event of recent memory. With real estate at the heart of the collapse, it scarred and devastated many in the industry as well as creating a plethora of opportunities for those with equity and a healthy dose of bravery. With the market now reaching a later point in the cycle EG’s head of content David Hatcher caught up with Duncan Owen, global head of real estate at Schroders; Richard Croft, chief executive of M7 Real Estate and Margaret Doyle, partner at Deloitte to discuss gory recollections of the dark days of September 2008, the lessons learnt and whether another crash might be around the corner.
The stillness of Holy Week can cause us to reflect on the past and even discern what that means of the future. We often find those flaws of our Lenten season justified. This week we talk about where our focus is, what we obsess over, and consequentialism. What is God actually asking of you and your life? And do the ends ever justify the means? There's no denying that Lara Croft is a very popular and respected video game protagonist. But with failed movies based on her video games in the past, it is going to be a huge feat to win audiences over with the character once again. Can Warner Brother's manage a kick-ass realistic-style reboot similar to how game developer Square Enix did with their rebooted game series in 2013? In this episode, the Iggy boys discuss video games briefly for a change to coincide with Tomb Raider's release, introduce yet another one-time segment, and discuss the Alicia Vikander-led film in depth - including how promotional materials like teaser clips may have spoiled integral plot points before the movie was even released.
