Greetings... you're now entering This Thing Of Minds Podcast with your hosts the Astonishing Adonis G'Baby, the Unbiased Thinker SativaDaDiva, FavdaGawd and PopItForMilt Join your favorite Space Kadets as we discuss Yung Miami's new show, Caresha, Please with her first guest Diddy. The rapper, Trouble, former lovers are making their own RIP posts to show their love. (Which is some player shit, if you ask us.) Even though having 5 women is light. Make sure you're fully insured cuz a lady in Missouri was awarded 5.2 million dollars for contracting an STD while having sex in a car. We discuss how we can and should get in on this lick. (anything above chlamydia and below herpes) Kevin Gates "Super Gremlin" freestyle exposes his former relationship with Dreka. We discussed the freestyle but Fav couldn't concentrate because Kevin Gates and his friend "ran a train" on Dreka. Freaky. DJ Akademiks was named, again, in the Tory and Meg case. He said he's getting his information from Roc Nation and Meg's people. (tbh, they need to just go to court) Rollin Stone released their Top 10 Greatest Female Rap Albums and Top 10 Greatest Rap Albums Of All Time. We broke down their list as well as who should be included. Which made us ask, what is the top 10 greatest albums of all time? What's the criteria? Once we broke it down, we noticed that OUR favorite albums are different than the consensus. Guerrilla Warfare by the Hot Boyz was said to be the Greatest Rap Album of All Time (Adonis said 400 Degrees). The nostalgia, the impact, the image... we had to play "Riding" "Bout Whatever" and "Respect My Mind" SLAPPERS Rich Homie Quan " B.G. "I Be Thinking" Spideyyy "In My Thoughts"

Here comes that Santa Ana wind again, blowing us right into the slightly skewed world of Steely Dan. It was never a question whether Strong Songs would do a Steely Dan episode, it was more a question of which song to focus on. In the end, Kirk chose "Babylon Sisters," a culmination of the band's incredible 1970s run that exemplifies Fagen and Becker's brand of pristine, laser-focused groove. It's also arguably the definitive recording of Bernard Purdie's signature Purdie Shuffle. Written by: Walter Becker and Donald Fagen Album: Gaucho (1980) Listen/Buy: Apple Music | Amazon | Spotify ALSO FEATURED/DISCUSSED: “Sloop John B,” Bahamian folk song as recorded by The Beach Boys on Pet Sounds, 1966 “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone” by The Temptations from Law of the Land, 1972 “Cousin Dupree” by Becker/Fagen from Two Against Nature, 2000 “Reelin' in the years” by Donald Fagen from Can’t Buy a Thrill, 1972 “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number” by Fagen/Becker from Prezel Logic, 1974 “Black Friday” by Becker/Fagen from Katy Lied, 1975 "Peg," "Aja," and "Home at Last" by Becker/Fagen from Aja, 1977 “Sing Sing Sing (With a Swing)” by Louis Prima performed by the Benny Goodman Orchestra, 1936 “Cissy Strut” by The Meters from The Meters, 1969 "Rosanna" by David Paich as recorded by Toto on Toto IV, with Jeff Porcaro on drums (and Tom Scott on alto sax!) Coming off the high from our very first live show... We had to start the episode off with a little recap. Shout out to The Corner Podcast and Red Cups and Wine Glasses Podcast. If you came out to show us some love and support we appreciate you! Can't even begin to explain how much we all had. This past weekend was Memorial Day Weekend and of course Vegas was wild as usual. In true "Mississippi of the West Fashion" we had some discrimination show up in the headlines with #MeekMill and the Cosmo. The led into a conversation about patronizing establishments that try to dictate how we present ourselves. Why are we still going to these places? In lighter news though who's taking the NBA Championship? We got that and much more....This is Views From The 7!! Follow us on all social media platforms. Like, share and subscribe!
