Discover the Power of Amino Acid Therapy to Reduce Anxiety and Get Healthier In today's fast-paced world, maintaining both mental and physical health is more important than ever. Whether you are a parent, a leader, or simply striving to become the best version of yourself, it's essential to find effective ways to support your well-being. One powerful yet often overlooked solution is amino acid therapy—a God-designed approach to healing that addresses your health at the root level. Understanding Amino Acid Therapy Amino acids are the building blocks of life, part of God's intentional design for our bodies to function optimally. These molecules do more than build muscle—they are the raw materials your brain uses to create neurotransmitters like serotonin, endorphins, catecholamines, and GABA. When these brain chemicals are out of balance, we can experience symptoms like anxiety, depression, low motivation, and chronic stress. The Brain-Gut Connection: A Two-Way Street While many people look to gut health as the starting point for healing, the brain cannot be overlooked. Imbalances in brain chemistry—particularly in key neurotransmitters—can lead to cravings, poor digestion, mood swings, and unstable blood sugar. Why Amino Acids Matter Here's how amino acid therapy can help: Reduce Anxiety and Depression: By restoring neurotransmitter levels, particularly serotonin and GABA, you can experience greater calm, improved sleep, and a more lifted mood. Improve Focus and Energy: Boosting catecholamines can restore motivation, mental clarity, and drive. Support Emotional Resilience: Endorphin support helps you feel emotionally grounded and less reactive to stress. Balance Blood Sugar Naturally: Maintaining stable glucose levels is essential for optimal brain health. Protein helps regulate this process, and amino acids play a central role in it. Rejuvenate Your Brain: You need protein—around 30–40 grams three times a day—to support your brain's rebuilding process. Without enough protein, your brain can't make the chemicals it needs to thrive. Feeling overwhelmed by stress? You're not alone. Studies show that many U.S. adults, across all age groups, are experiencing stress levels that make it hard to function. In this episode, we explore how to manage stress effectively using practical, science-backed strategies and timeless biblical wisdom. Learn what the Bible says about stress, peace, and hope, and discover how brain science supports healing and resiliency. Listen for practical tools to navigate stress with courage, grace, and faith—while living a more productive, peaceful, and fulfilling life. Resource discussed: Stress Less: 9 Habits from the Bible and Brain Science to Build Resilience and Reduce Anxiety by Dr. Charles Stone Discussion/Reflective Questions: What resonated with you most in this episode? How often do you "think about what you're thinking about" and how might developing this practice help decrease your anxiety and increase your peace? In this episode, Dr. Stone described various ways we might respond to stress, using an analogy of a rock, egg, and tennis ball. Which of those objects do you most often resemble, and which would you prefer to resemble? How can trust in Christ increase our certainty in uncertainty? If you've practiced creating a healthy distance from your emotions without suppressing or denying them, what have you found most helpful in that regard? If you haven't yet practiced this, what is one way you can do so in the future? What is one step God might be inviting you to take having listened to this episode? Leave an Amazon Rating or Review for my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy! The most dangerous trend in mental health today isn't anxiety itself—it's how we've been taught to think about it. Dr. Caroline Leaf, a leading neuroscientist and author of "Help in a Hurry," reveals why 100% of people experience anxiety and how the current medical model of labeling and diagnosing mental health "disorders" creates more harm than healing. Through groundbreaking research spanning 40 years, she shares her most vulnerable discovery: we are 99% mind and 1% brain, making every thought we think a physical force that either builds or destroys our cellular health. The conversation takes a powerful turn when she explains her 63-day healing protocol that has helped thousands rewire toxic thought patterns, proving that what we've been told about mental health has been fundamentally backwards—and how anyone struggling with overwhelm, anxiety, or stress today holds the power to transform their mind and heal their body.Pre order Dr. Leaf's new book Help in a Hurry: Simple Tips for Finding Peace When You're Overwhelmed, Anxious, or StressedDr. Leaf's book Switch on Your Brain: The Key to Peak Happiness, Thinking, and HealthDr. Leaf's book Cleaning Up Your Mental Mess: 5 Simple, Scientifically Proven Steps to Reduce Anxiety, Stress, and Toxic ThinkingDr. Leaf on InstagramThe Doctor Leaf Show on YouTubeIn this episode you will learn:Why anxiety is your brain's warning system, not a disease, and how to read its signals correctlyThe shocking truth about self-diagnosis culture and why labeling yourself creates the exact problems you're trying to solveHow your thoughts become physical networks in your brain and body within secondsWhy 35-98% of all physical illnesses originate from toxic thinking patternsThe exact 63-day process neuroscientists use to rewire trauma and heal emotional woundsFor more information go to https://www.lewishowes.com/1785For more Greatness text PODCAST to +1 (614) 350-3960More SOG episodes we think you'll love:Dr. Rangan Chatterjee  – greatness.lnk.to/1716SCDr. Joe Dispenza – greatness.lnk.to/1702SCTJ Power – greatness.lnk.to/1741SC Get more from Lewis! Unlocking the Power of Hypnosis for Mental Health and Self-Discovery Are you constantly striving for the next achievement yet feeling unfulfilled? Do you battle anxiety or self-criticism that seems impossible to break? Today's episode explores how hypnosis can be a powerful tool for accessing the subconscious mind and creating lasting change. I spoke with Sara, a hypnotherapist who discovered hypnosis during her own burnout recovery. Like many high achievers, she had all the boxes checked for success but was constantly seeking the next level, leading to exhaustion. This personal journey eventually led her to help others through hypnotherapy. Key Points from Our Conversation: What is Hypnosis? A meditative state that allows access below the logical mind to reach the subconscious where emotions, beliefs, and past experiences reside - formed before our logical mind developed. Stage Hypnosis vs. Therapeutic Hypnosis Entertainment hypnosis differs from therapeutic practices. No one can be made to do anything they don't want to do. Therapeutic hypnosis focuses on healing rather than entertainment.  Working with the Inner Critic Hypnosis identifies how your inner critic has been serving you (often as protection) and allows you to "negotiate" with it, releasing its hold to develop healthier patterns.  Understanding Anxiety Many use worry as a form of protection or control. Hypnosis helps recognize this pattern and create space to choose different responses.  Self-Forgiveness Process Hypnotherapy reveals childhood beliefs (like "I must achieve to be lovable") that drive adult behaviors, facilitating self-forgiveness and reframing. Physical Health Benefits When we release limiting patterns, physical changes follow—shoulders relaxing, breathing improving, and nervous system shifting from stress to relaxation.  Practical Self-Hypnosis Tips Start with awareness without judgment, identify how patterns have been serving you, and create interruption cues to break patterns and choose new responses.  Transform Your Patterns and Beliefs Working with our subconscious through hypnosis can break through barriers that talk therapy or medication alone might not address. By understanding the positive intentions behind our patterns, we can create healthier alternatives. Building new neural pathways takes practice. As Sara mentions, when old thoughts return, we simply redirect to the new pattern until it becomes more familiar than the old one.   Happy New Year. During the holidays, we can become more stressed, anxious, and sometimes depressed.  Perhaps there's too much work and you're struggling to find balance.  Perhaps a loved one passed away and you are mourning their loss.  Perhaps you're already feeling stretched so thin and traveling to see family is putting you on edge.   So instead of the usual interview with guests, this episode is dedicated to reconnecting with our bodies and our breath.  The meditation itself is less than 6 minutes (0.1 billable hours).  If you want to skip straight to the meditation, it starts at 3:16.  If you can't do the full meditation, then do 5 deep breaths (in through the nose, and out through the mouth) first thing in the morning, right before bed, and anytime you're feeling anxious.  Want to connect with us?
