This episode is releasing on a very important day, and we hope everyone has an excellent time. Niantic has given us an incredible amount of information, not just about events, but about the new Season and some significant changes that are coming! We start with a recap of the last week of gameplay including The Lunar New Year Event and the kickoff to the Road to Kalos. If you have been feeling like things have been building towards something, you have been feeling correctly. We will be seeing major changes to event and scheduling structures, a move away from event tickets to GO Passes, and some fun QOL updates like the ability to catch evolved form Shinies in the wild. Memories In Motion will be the potential dawn of a new era, with all of the announcements kicking off with the start of the new season. ITL Kalos Tour gave us a preview of the new Mega System. Link Charges have caused a stir online, however we feel strongly that they are a massive win for Trainers as a no cost option to Raid. The March Content Update has been met with mixed reviews. Niantic's new strategy seems to give us even less news than before, which was already a sore spot. With the top secret debut of Mega Dragonite, it does feel good to be pleasantly surprised.This all feels very calculated, and we will keep a close eye on it over the Season. Our final discussion takes a macro look at the upcoming changes. For better or worse, the Scopely Effect is beginning to take shape. Is the Community ready to embrace the change, or will they form a resistance? Time will tell, and we are exceptionally here for it all. Lured Up Podcast 378 Live Streamed on - 1/12/2026 Publish Date - 1/15/2026 This week didn't finish too strong with some Trainers in the Community. While Pinch Perfect and its rotating Timed Research was a blast, Kyurem Fusion Raid Day left a bad taste in some Trainers' mouths. The inclusion of Reshiram and Zekrom in the Raid rotation hurt Trainers with less developed gameboards, as some reports saying that all the Raids in some rotations were not White or Black Kyurem, making the event fall flat until the opportunity arises to try it again during the next rotation. Adam brought up a great idea of putting Fusion Energy in Field Research for defeating Reshiram or Zekrom. This week brings High Zaptitude and a double release. Wattrel and Shiny Tadbulb make their debut during the event, giving two different Pokémon to chase that are available in different ways. You'll have to work to unlock Wattrel, as it is a Level 2 Reward of a Global Challenge, which confused some Trainers that didn't read the fine print. In all, this is a solid double header and a fun Electric event. Precious Pals and Precious Pals Taken Over will keep us busy in the week ahead, with Giovanni bringing Shadow Incarnate Forme Thundurus. We also have boosted Shinies for catching Goldeen, and hatching Espurr or Fidough. Make sure you remember to TM away Frustration before the event ends! Weekly Challenges added matchmaking and a bigger invite list this week. With the leveling grind being so popular, Weekly Challenges are a great way to fast track to Forever Friends. The Challenges themselves however, pose little to no actual challenge for moderate to hardcore Trainers. We spitball some ideas of how this mechanic can be developed to provide a tougher challenge while targeting Trainers of different skill and dedication levels. Finally we drop our top 5 gameplay loop lists and talk it through. From the Friendship Grind to Adam's Max Battle obsession, we dig into what keeps us engaged with the game and coming back for more. Lured Up Podcast 370: They Were All Trash Live Streamed on - 11/4/2025 Publish Date - 11/7/2025 The last two weeks of Pokémon GO gameplay have been in peak form! The level rebalance kicked off a reinvigoration of the community, and the game has come through with some great events to keep Trainers busy. We recap the Halloween event and how with new Pokémon, new Shinies, an amazing Sinistea Spotlight Hour and GMAX Garbodor, things are rocking and rolling. We also touch on how having a weekend off is actually a good thing, and helps Trainers recover from the onslaught of events that we have been used to recently. November is upon us however, and there is a lot to look forward to. There is also a lot to spend money on as we stack up your options, including 2 GO Passes, a bunch of event tickets, and of course the GO Wild Area. Storage increases, consumables, and Raid Passes will be flowing over Global's weekend, so it is best to go in prepared. Keep a lookout for deals and buy the bundles that fit your needs. Also, if you will be in the Philly area for Global, hit up Ken! There were a few miscellaneous tidbits this week like the Nagasaki Poke Lid Stamp Rally and the Black Friday Sale. November seems to be a packed month but does actually have some empty weekends. Perhaps with the free time you may want to look ahead to Chicago, as there is plenty to plan for with GO Fest looming. With the diversity of Chicago's downtown, you have vastly different environments available to stay in. Just remember, that there are over 50,000 Trainers thinking the same thing. More and more events continue to be pushed out as we enter Fall. Join JayTI7N and JackJack on this All Hallows Eve as we cover some of the game updates like The Level Cap increase to Level 80, folks and public response for some who have already reached Lvl 80, the Halloween events and raids, to upcoming November things like need for community support, our Food Bank drive on Saturday of the GoWild event, and the Sunday GoWIld event in Denver, and the mystery of Novembers Community Day. Lured Up Podcast 368 Live Streamed on - 10/21/25 Publish Date - 10/24/25 Pokémon Trainers everywhere are torn between Legends Z-A on Switch and the Level 80 grind in Pokémon GO! Luckily for PGO Trainers, the Legends Z-A Event gave us some slight crossover to scratch the itch. It was Mega Rayquaza Raid Day however, that brought the Trainers out over the weekend. Communities everywhere were putting in big numbers to take down the Sky High Pokémon. With Raid numbers like we are seeing, we can only imagine what Mega Dragonite or Mega Mewtwo will do. Spooky Season is officially here with the return of the Halloween Event, which brings a little bit of everything over the rest of the month. New Pokémon, new Shinies, and new Costumes will fill our inventories as we continue our push to the upper levels. We check in on our progress and share some best practices for some of the initial tasks to complete after Level 70. We still have plenty of time in October, but we already have the November Content Update which of course includes the Wild Area. This event has proven to be exciting and a fantastic draw for Communities. We have a feeling that GMAX Grimmsnarl will keep us on the grind along with Shadow Darkrai. The Wild Area hype can only be bested by one thing, GO Fest hype. The local Fox news affiliate in Chicago dropped a bombshell that Pokémon GO will be returning to Grant Park in 2026 with the option of 2027. We are VERY excited for this announcement as Grant Park provided an incredible backdrop for GO Fest, with great terrain, views, and a straightforward layout. The City Experience element will bring new experiences for Trainers, and we have plenty of time to prepare. The game does not seem to be letting up even after the Max Finale. The patching of the micro-drift exploit, which Trainers have used for years to allow them to use a local Raid Pass on a Raid that is just out of normal reach, has caused a bit of a revolt. From Trainers saying they are boycotting, to confusion over why this of all things was patched while other bugs still persist. Any way you look at it, the Community always has something to target, and this month's flavor of the month is this patch and how it ties to Remote Raiding.In actual gameplay news, we begin with a recap of the last week of events including the wrap up of Steel & Scales, DMAX Latios & Latias, and the kickoff of Adventure Week. Multiple events through the week and double weekend events are becoming more common, leaving Trainers with less and less downtime. Is this a sustainable pace? Will this cause Trainers to back off? All we know is that we want it all and it is getting tougher and tougher to keep up.The August content update absolutely slams the calendar, as it doesn't even allow for a single day of vanilla encounters. Do we miss seeing what the Seasonal spawns bring to the table or do we want the constant variety that events bring to the gameboard? In the first two weeks of the month, we see multiple different events, bringing new Pokémon or Shinies to the table, along with a plethora of tickets. Let's not forget about the GO Pass and Eggs-pedition Access which ask for spending before the month even kicks off. With all of this spending, there is no wonder why Trainers don't want to reach further into their pockets for Remote Raid Passes. The real question is, has the game moved on from even listening to them?
