Dave and Head of Research Ryan Schweck dive into everything that’s happened in the world of Star Wars toys since Triple Force Friday, as well as sharing some thoughts on The Mandalorian! October 4th, 2019 was the launch date for the newest barrage of Star Wars merchandise, only this time Disney was tying their products into not just one, not two, but three new media projects. The first, obviously, was December 20th’s Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. This is the latest cinematic Star Wars release and the conclusion of the so-called “Skywalker Saga” that began with Star Wars in 1977. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a new video game from publisher Electronic Arts. It was released on November 15th, 2019 and so far has seen a positive reception. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, after decades of speculation and false starts, the first-ever live action Star Wars show debuted on the Disney+ streaming service on November 12th. Each of these landmarks in the era of Disney Star Wars has waves of merchandise currently available. Starting with the main rollout in October and followed by seemingly weekly additions by way of exclusives and new reveals, Hasbro, Funko, and many other manufacturers have flooded the market with new and exciting products. PLUS! A very special Christmas memory from Dave's Mom! Listen in as Ryan and Dave take a close look at the last two months of Star Wars on the newest episode of the Needless Things Podcast! Ro and Alex talk about Triple Force Friday. Was it all it was cracked up to be for you? Did you find all you were looking for? Or were you like most 'Triple" Force' shoppers and find that most stores hadn't even put up displays yet? What gives!? And we continue our #GeorgeLucasAppreciationMonth and talk about the Special Editions, we'll get down to hearing what we liked and what we were 'ok' with. And @StarWarsInClass posed a question, what's your best iconic shot in Star Wars and why. Both Alex and Ro try to weigh in. You'll be surprised to find out what they selected. The big news, well outside of Unicron being funded. Oh and yeah, I spent $600 on a toy a week before getting laid off that I won't see for over year. Let that sink in :). Hasbro announced War for Cybertron: Earthrise. Talk about nothing new and just wishing it could be a little different. The big news for Masters was the shipping update Super7 sent out. Unfortunately, there is no link to it. I've noticed this is a pattern with them. When they announce dates, it's via email without a permanent location to reference and they've done it again. Force Friday happened again, well Triple Force Friday. Hear my experience (again one week before being laid off
The Halloween Season is upon us and we want your Star Wars action figure photos! Make them scary or fun and send us your Halloween themed Star Wars photos! We will feature them on the site and social media! After a too long of a break, we are back with our world famous Power of the Force retrospectives! This time we begin our look at the Star Wars figures released by Hasbro in 1998, a key year that fell between the Special Editions and The Phantom Menace. And to do this, we call on our good buddy, Jake Stevens of From4LOMtoZuckuss.com to bring his encyclopediac knowledge to the discussion. We also follow up on our post-Triple Force Friday finds and Dan shares an amazing deal at his local toy shop and another on=air eBay auction win.And be sure to stick around towards the end of the show for a new segment we like to call, Texts From Matt where Dan reads texts he's gotten from fellow collector, Matt Cardona (WWE Superstar, Zack Ryder). What Matt lacks in nerdy Star Wars character knowledge he makes up with his enthusiasm. Sooo good!

For episode 44 of The Exhaust Port podcast, Reid Byers is back in the co-host's seat, joining Todd once again to round up all the latest and greatest Star Wars news, rumors (**SPOILER WARNING**), and theories that surround the galaxy! And in between all of that, the duo tackle the legacy of the Special Editions, basically doing what needs to be done, and laying out the reasons they suck. Oh, and Galaxy of Heroes because, Galaxy of Heroes. Some highlights include: discussion on both of the announced film series' - the Rian Johnson trilogy and the Benioff and Weiss series (is it a trilogy now?), as well as some thoughts on the Episode IX photo leaks; the awesomeness that will be Triple Force Friday and some Jedi: Fallen Order talk; Hasbro is a bunch of idiots; the joy of victory and the agony of the grind in Galaxy of Heroes; a reminder that the prequel-era Jedi were morons and Mace Windu was pretty much Vice Principal Vernon from The Breakfast Club; prequels be damned, the Special Editions are still (by far) the worst things to ever happen to Star Wars; our desire to see Ahmed Best cast in a new Star Wars project; is there a THIRD TV show in the works, centering around everyone's favorite dishonest Jedi?; Resistance is picking up steam, despite its lead character, and heading towards an epic season one finish. As always, thanks for listening and please make sure to subscribe and leave us a review if you dig the show, it helps a ton. In the meantime, reach out to us on our contact page, and/or drop us a line on Twitter at @DSoTFproduction or @toddcanipe, we'd love to hear from you. ~MTFBWY
