http://www.attractionchecklist.com - Let's get a little spooky and head to Disney California Adventure to check out the Halloween Overlay known as Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween on this episode of Attraction Checklist. Attraction audio recorded on September 21, 2023. TRANSCRIPT: Welcome to Attraction Checklist. This episode we head to Disney California Adventure Park to ride Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween. The Disneyland Resort website describes this attraction by saying: Celebrate Luigi's favorite holiday at the honkin'est dance party in Radiator Screams! Guests must be 32” or taller to ride this attraction and the Thrill Level calls it a Thrill Ride that is Loud with Spinning. Before we join Luigi and Guido for some spooky fun, here are five fast facts about Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween 1. Starting in 2017, Cars Land at Disney California Adventure got a spooky makeover for the Halloween Season. Radiator Springs becomes Radiator Screams. Several of the attractions got a holiday overlay including Luigi's Rollickin Roadsters which becomes Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween. 2. Luigi's Casa Della Tires gets a halloween makeover including the leaning tower of tires which sports hubcaps and treads that look like eyes and mouths. 3. Despite the overlay, the attraction retains it's ride time of approximately 2 minutes. 4. As of this episode's audio recording which was done in 2023, one of five different songs played while the cards were in motion. These are all parodies of traditional Italian songs given a spooky edge. They include: Honkin' Haul-O-Ween, Luigi the Hero, Haul-O-Ween Italiano, Chop Shop of Carsoli and Terror-Antella. 5. Disney released all the songs from the attraction in 2018 on an album called: Happy Haul-O-Ween from Cars Land: Spooky Songs From Mater and Luigi. This album is available on most music streaming platforms. Let's ride Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween. John B. deHaas is along for the fun and after we ride we'll give you our thoughts on this attraction. This is a binaural recording so if you have headphones put them on now as we experience Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween at Disney California Adventure. To celebrate Halloween Season, Christopher and Eric have tried to find a way to merge their two greatest loves — true crime stories and preposterous theories of the paranormal. Have they found a winning combo in the new Hulu series OUT THERE? They're so determined to find out, they're bringing you not one, but two separate episodes of the show. Eric pranced off to meet the “Pope Lick Goatman”, and Christopher joined a hunt for some “Ghosts of Chinatown”. Find out who broke the most Ouija boards in this special face off episode. Also, as we mark the sad anniversary of Billy Newton's murder, we reflect on the justice we were able to find, thanks to a special message and update from the LAPD homicide detective who worked with us to help solve the case.
Filmjitsu wraps up its Halloween Season with the most Halloween of Halloween Episodes! If the past two special episodes spent interviewing Filmspotting's Josh Larsen about his new horror genre book and dissecting "Skinamarink" with filmmaker Dane Elcar weren't enough for you, the guys overdose on October vibes by tackling ALL THREE of David Gordon Green's "Halloween" movies in another super-sized episode! How does Michael Myers fare in these canon-busting sequels to John Carpenter's 1977 slasher classic? Probably better than Mike and Jay, who were so daunted by the task of watching these flicks that they enlisted another special guest: Jay's son, JT Santo. The three offer-up an in-depth look at this notorious series, then dive into their Bottom Five Slashers, a bloody array of inept, ridiculous and otherwise laughable killers littering horror movie history. Finally, the intrepid trio face off in a slasher-themed game of Kick Two, Pick Two; pitting four horror icons against each other in a battle where only two will remain standing. Collectively, Freddy, Jason, Michael and Leatherface's trademark masks and weapons have made it through 43 films, but will they make it through the podcasts that wields films as deadly weapons? Listen and find out!

Will you be visiting Walt Disney World in October 2024? October is typically a great month to visit Orlando and Walt Disney World. This year, it looks like the weather will co-operate to make for some great vacation time at the Most Magical Place on Earth. How to Dress for October Weather and the Halloween Season at Walt Disney World October 2024 in Orlando is Shaping Up to Be a Pretty Good Weather MonthOctober can be a great month to visit Disney World, especially if you like Halloween. Halloween décor and festivities are in full swing in October and the spooky season mood will be all around you. Of course, if Halloween isn't your thing, it's not the only game in town. The EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival is also under way in October, making a great option for more Disney fun and food. Also in October, Canadian Thanksgiving happens mid-month (October 14), so if you are visiting Walt Disney World at that time you may see elevated crowds surrounding that weekend.Weather Forecast for Walt Disney World in October 2024The forecast for October 2024 at Walt Disney World continues this year's trend of warmer-than-normal weather for Orlando. For October 2024, Orlando and Walt Disney World daytime highs are forecast to range from 79°F (26°C) to 88°F (31°C), while nighttime lows will hover around 66°F (19°C) to 73°F (23°C). This is a little cooler than September, but still very warm and pleasant for your Disney vacation.Another good sign is that there isn't expected to be too much rain in the forecast. Of course, rain can be somewhat unpredictable in Orlando (especially with warmer temperatures), but October is looking to be a little drier than September.October will start out with temperatures on the warmer side and then cool very slightly as the month progresses. All in all, however, October 2024 is shaping up to be a very good weather month at Walt Disney World. What to Pack for Walt Disney World in October 2024Packing for Walt Disney World in October 2024 means packing for a warm weather vacation. The nights will not be cold, so you can still get away with packing relatively light this October. With Halloween being in full swing in October, it's definitely a good idea to pack a seasonal outfit, t-shirt, sweatshirt or hoodie – if you have one. Evenings should be just cool enough on some days so that you won't be too hot in a hoodie once the sun goes down.Of course, if you plan to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom Park, you may want to bring a costume of some sort to celebrate the event.Beyond Halloween, it's also fall, so fall-themed attire is another top pick for October at Walt Disney World.Given the warm temperatures, daytime outfits can include t-shirts, shorts, dresses and pretty much anything that you'd wear on a nice summer day. Evenings will be moderately cooler, so a hoodie or light jacket for after the sun goes down is also worth packing.Thank You for Listening to the Disney Travel Style PodcastThank you very much for listening to this episode, we that you enjoyed it. The Beggar, The Blonde, and The Button: Sam Raimi's Drag Me to Hell Take a listen as Mr. Chavez & I continue our annual exploration of Horror for this Halloween Season. This week my podcast partner & I take a look at Sam Raimi's 2009 return to the Horror/Comedy genre. A modest hit when initially released, Raimi's film has developed somewhat of a cult following. Herein lies part of the problem . . . on this week's episode Mr. Chavez & I discuss the importance of the audience experience in enjoying a film of this type. It's a changing movie-watching world. Take a listen to see if you agree with our assessment of how an audience can affect the experience. As always, we can be reached at gondoramos@yahoo.com - Many Thanks. Gen Z Xenomorph: Fede Alvarez's Alien: Romulus No Worries . . . Mr. Chavez & I will be returning to our Never-Ending 500 Episode Retrospective. However, this week we continue our look into the Horror genre taking us into the Halloween Season, with Fede Alvarez's newest entry into the Alien Series, Alien: Romulus. This 7th film in the series - We Don't Count Those AlienVSPredator Embarassments - takes place between Ridley Scott's original 1979 Alien and James Cameron's 1986 sequel, Aliens. Your two favorite movie podcasters differ wildly on this entry. Take a listen to see which of us you agree with. Is this a tense and exciting entry into the series, or is it simply an attempt to milk blood from a stone. See the movie, take a listen, and let us know what you think.
