At UFC Winnipeg, Rafael dos Anjos fought Robbie Lawler in a very decisive welterweight main event. In the co-main event, Josh Emmett scored a monstrous upset by knocking out Ricardo Lamas. We'll discuss his win despite missing weight. We'll also dive into the welterweight contest between Mike Perry and Santiago Ponzinibbio as well as the light heavyweight show opener between Misha Cirkunov and Glover Teixeira. We'll also talk about highlights from the preliminary fight card. This is the UFC Winnipeg (UFC on FOX 26) post-fight special.

C'était un "contention fight" sans aucun doute puisque le vainqueur de cette opposition se plaçait idéalement sur un strapontin vers le titre des 170 pounds. Le co-main event, lui, voyait Ricardo Lamas face à Josh Emmett. Cette main card de 4 combats était complétée par Santiago Ponzinibbio/Mike Perry et Glover Teixeira/Misha Cirkunov.  Nous abordons aussi le dernier event de l'année civile puisque l'UFC 219 se tiendra à Las Vegas le 30/12. L'affiche de ce PPV sera la défense de titre featherweight de la brésilienne Cristine 'Cyborg" Justino contre la multi-championne (en boxe anglaise, en kick et en 130 lbs à l'UFC) Holly Holm. S'il y a une combattante qui peut un tant soit peu inquiéter la terreur Cyborg, c'est bien Holm. Elle a les arguments physiques et techniques pour ne pas servir que de simple sparring-partner comme l'ont fait les précédentes adversaires de la championne. Le co-main event sera la pure opposition de style entre le striker Edson Barboza et le grappler Khabib Nurmagomedov. Si ce dernier fait le poids officiel, on aura droit à un combat à une intrigue: qui emmènera l'autre sur son terrain de jeu favori. C'est donc l'avant dernier épisode de l'année.
