The NSW government announced it will open a vaccination hub in Fairfield. Carmen Lazar from Assyrian resource centre told SBS Assyrian the hub will be at the Fairfield community centre in Fairfield. People can come, register and have their jab. The vaccination hub will open from Wednesday 29 September and vaccination will start from 8:30 AM until 4:00 PM. Mrs Lazar is urging the community to come forward and get vaccinated because that will save lives and gives us the way for freedom and ending the lockdown.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says they will continue to emphasise people going to drive-through clinics as the easiest way to get vaccinations done. "What we're trying to continue to drive people through, and towards, are things like those drive through clinics, those walk in clinics," she told Morning Report. "Places where we can do a large number very easily, but without for instance, having to pre-book." Ardern told Morning Report that using mobile vans to reach into communities is also being built into services. "Already happening in some areas, it's just how large scale it will be in the future." She says such an approach has already been used in some cases, such as reaching the homeless.

Hundreds of private providers in South Africa are reportedly standing by with sites they say have everything except the two critical elements only the government can deliver: vaccine doses, and recipients to get them. The country has to vaccinate well over 100-thousand people daily, every week in order to reach its immunity target. Momentum Metropolitan Holdings, has secured accreditation for four mass vaccination centres and expects to start administering vaccines later this week, depending on the delivery of the first vaccine consignments ordered.
