The campaign humorously highlights the size difference while promoting Fiat's electric city car as a charming and practical alternative.Video titled "You Say Tomato, We Say Pomodoro" compares the two vehicles as Cybertruck is portrayed as "shock" while the 500e is "awwwww."Fiat emphasizes the 500e's ease of use in city driving.Campaign aims to inject humor while promoting Fiat's first electric vehicle for U.S. consumers.“Our little cinquecento...embodies what an electric city car should be,” said Stellantis CMO Olivier Francois.SpaceX successfully launched and caught its massive Starship booster, marking a historic achievement in spaceflight. According to an estimate published in 2015, the global prevalence of dementia was projected to nearly triple between 2015 and 2050, growing from 46 million to over 130 million people globally. And of that worldwide share, 70% of those with dementia will be in low- and middle-income countries. Tackling and ideally preventing dementia requires a global perspective. In this episode, Matt & Donovan speak with Dr. Lindsay Kobayashi, a faculty member in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Michigan School of Public Health whose research focuses on the social epidemiology of aging from a global perspective. For many generations, Americans were sold the idea of upward mobility. But today’s generations are unfortunately and unexpectedly struggling with downward mobility, both financial and emotional. A new essay collection gives irreverent and empathetic voice to this generation, hurtling into their next chapter with no safety net, and author Annabelle Gurwitch joined us to discuss this unique book. In conversation with writer Susan Orlean, Gurwitch shared passages from You’re Leaving When?: Adventures in Downward Mobility, and about her inspiration for writing it. She explored her own experience with embracing homesharing, welcoming a housing-insecure young couple and a bunny rabbit into her home, as well as relearning to parent one pronoun at a time when her college student child sheds the gender binary. With humor, she related diving into the dating pool and flunking the magic of tidying up. In a time when so many believed they had a semblance of security but wound up with a fragile economy, Gurwitch offered stories of resilience, adaptability, low-rent redemption, and the kindness of strangers. She invited us to timely and eminently relatable conversation. Annabelle Gurwitch is the author of I See You Made an Effort; Wherever You Go, There They Are; You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up (coauthored with Jeff Kahn); and Fired! (also a Showtime Comedy Special). She’s written for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, Los Angeles Times, and Los Angeles Magazine, and was a regular contributor to NPR. The longtime cohost of Dinner & a Movie, she performs with the Moth Mainstage and at arts centers around the country. Susan Orlean is an author and staff writer for The New Yorker. She’s written numerous books, including The Library Book and Animalish, as well as contributing to several others. ANNABELLE GURWITCH The actress and bestselling author shares a hilarious new collection of essays about family in Wherever You Go, There They Are When Annabelle Gurwitch (best recognized as the co-host of TBS’s Dinner & a Movie, among many other roles) was a child, surrounded by a cast of epically dysfunctional relatives, she secretly prayed that it was all a terrible mistake. A family of bootleggers, gamblers, and philanderers, the Gurwitches have always been a bit vague on the standard ideal of a loving and supportive family. Their definition includes people you can count on to borrow money from, hold a grudge against, or blackmail. One day, unfortunately, Gurwitch woke up to realize that she'd made pretty much the same mistakes as everyone else before her--just in a new zip code. Wherever she went, there they were. Annabelle Gurwitch discusses (in her hilarious way): · her southern Jewish roots · her flirtation with surrogate families, including theater folk, pet people, a UFO cult, the sisterhood, and the ladies who brunch at Tel Aviv Gardens Retirement Home in Miami, FL · that, for better or worse, it's worth celebrating the traditions, rituals, and recipes that come with a shared mythology and legacy (even if her own inheritance amounts to a small plot of land split between five relatives on an ill-fated sliver of sand known as Massacre Island.) · the spectacularly daunting search for the community where her aging parents will spend the last chapter of their lives. Both hysterically funny and moving, Gurwitch shares the importance and insanity of family for anyone who's even occasionally been frustrated by the people they share carbohydrate-laden meals with every year. About the Author Annabelle Gurwitch is an actress and the author I See You Made an Effort (a New York Times bestseller and Thurber Prize finalist); You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up (coauthored with Jeff Kahn), and Fired! also a Showtime Comedy Special. Gurwitch gained a loyal following during her stint cohosting Dinner & a Movie on TBS and years as a regular commentator on NPR. She’s written for the New Yorker, the New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and The Hollywood Reporter. Gurwitch was the new anchor on HBO's Not Necessarily the News and hosted WA$TED on Planet Green network. Her acting credits include: Seinfeld, Boston Legal, Dexter, Melvin Goes to Dinner. A veteran of many lauded and even more misguided theatrical productions, she regularly performs at arts centers around the country. Annabelle is a Jewish mother, a reluctant atheist, and an ardent environmentalist. She is empty-nesting in Los Angeles. www.annabellegurwitch.com

I See You Made An Effort: Compliments, Indignities and Survival Stories from the Edge of 50 (Blue Rider Press) Is 50 the new 40 or is 50 still 50? Maybe. In this wickedly funny new collection of essays, I See You Made An Effort, actress and writer Annabelle Gurwitch explores the hazards of turning 50, outsourcing your endocrine system, and falling in lust at the Genius bar. From the woman the Washington Post calls “hilarious,” this new book is the ultimate coming-of middle-age story and a must-read for women everywhere. The panic began to set in when Annabelle turned 49. The solicitations from the AARP began flooding her mailbox as she weighed going back to school, getting divorced and raising llamas. She couldn't afford a vacation, so she was taking a lot of naps. A visit to her gynecologist ended not with one of his usual benign send-offs—stay healthy, stay happy, stay hydrated—but instead with the slightly ominous: "Stay funny." In this new collection of essays, Annabelle Gurwitch has taken her gynecologist's advice to heart. Whether she's navigating the extensive anti-aging offerings in the department store beauty counter or negotiating the ins and outs of acceptable behavior with her teenage son, Gurwitch bravely turns an unflinching eye towards the myriad of issues women can expect to encounter in their middle years.  For tonight's reading Annabelle Gurwitch will be joined by members of the Suite 8 Writer's Collective, Jillian Lauren, Heather Havrilesky and Joshua Wolf Shenk. Annabelle Gurwitch is an actress and author of You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up, a self-hurt marital memoir co-written with her husband, Jeff Kahn, now a theatrical play in its third national tour; and Fired! Tales of the Caned, Canceled, Downsized & Dismissed. Her Fired! documentary premiered as a Showtime Comedy Special and played film festivals around the world. Gurwitch gained a loyal comedic following during her numerous years co-hosting the cult favorite, Dinner & a Movie; her acting credits include Dexter, Boston Legal, Seinfeld, Melvin Goes to Dinner, The Shaggy Dog and Not Necessarily The News on HBO. Most recently, she starred in the adaptation of Grace Paley's A Coney Island Christmas by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Donald Margulies at The Geffen Playhouse. Live appearances include New York Comedy Festival, 92nd St Y, Upright Citizens Brigade and story salons in both New York and Los Angeles. She has served as a regular commentator on NPR and a humorist for TheNation.com. Her writing has appeared in More, Marie Claire, Men's Health, Los Angeles Times and elsewhere. Gurwitch is a passionate environmentalist, a reluctant atheist, and lives with her husband and son in Los Angeles. Jillian Lauren is the author of the novel Pretty and the New York Times bestselling memoir Some Girls: My Life in a Harem. Her writing has appeared in The Paris Review Daily, The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Los Angeles Magazine, Salon, The Rumpus and The Moth Anthology, among others.
