What a season Bears fans! It wasn't good by any means on the field but at least we know the Bears have Justin Fields at QB, a lot of money and now the first overall pick in the NFL draft! Good things are coming Chicago... Speaking of first overall picks, the Hawks seem to be playing like the Bears did and will look to be in contention for Connor Bedard in the NHL draft after this season concludes. A long season to go. The only positive side of Chicago sports right now are the Bulls after they've won 8 of 11 and Zach LaVine made 11 three pointers. Da Bulls have some momentum and hopefully it lasts. Looks like Rick's wife gets to pick his fantasy line-up for week 13 after the Bears and Trevor Siemian get absolutely annihilated by the Jets. We almost saw Nathan Peterman but either way, we now know how much Justin Fields means to this team. Jack is heartbroken. Jose Abreu has signed with the Astros and should be ready for some playoff baseball. Finally. The Blackhawks are losers of 7 straight and while that means a much higher pick in the NHL lottery, it almost certainly means a trade of Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews. No longer a question of IF but WHEN and how much will the Hawks get in return? The Bulls are consistently inconsistent especially when Zach LaVine is consistently getting outscored by DeMar DeRozan. Luke Richardson is getting everything he can from this younger and inexperienced Blackhawks team and that seems to be hurting the lottery draft pick the Hawks can possibly get. The Bears still lost to Tua and the Dolphins but what a game by this Bears offense! The Blackhawks are playing at a pretty decent clip with a re-emerging Jonathan Toews and a line up that features a lot of young hungry talent. And oh yeah, Patrick Kane hasn't gotten going yet but that only means this Hawks teams can get better. Hopefully. Looks like the Bulls have played to what we all expected and that's not saying much. The Sox are getting some healthy competition from the AL and NL and are playing pretty well against it. Do they have what it takes to get above .500 and stay there to take the lead in the division once and for all? (00:11) Christopher Morel has been one of few reasons to watch the Cubs this season as well as many other names that are being brought up from the minors. This years trade deadline is gonna be a good one. (11:02) The Sky are #3 in the WNBA power rankings even after their consistent 2nd quarter shortcomings. They've got a tough test against Connecticut coming up and they need to take advantage of the opportunity to show the league why they're defending champs. (27:33) Akiem Hicks takes a shot at Mitch Trubisky and Jaylon Johnson ranks as one of the best up and coming corners of the league according to PFF. (00:11) Cubs are picking players up from the fountain of youth as Jed Hoyer can no longer avoid the term 'rebuild' as he has for the entire time he's been GM. (19:56) The Sky seemingly can't get points in the 2nd quarter of games as they lose to the top team Las Vegas Aces in what was basically a catch-up game but they take one from the Mercury to stay at 5-3. (42:24) Akiem Hicks is officially not reuniting with the Bears, but we're sure we all saw that coming, as he signs with Tampa Bay to hopefully get a ring and retire a champion. The Sky went from an opening night loss to 2 wins in a row against New York and Minnesota. When you have a 15 point performance from Dana Evans off the bench it should be a win every time. (2:54) The Bulls emerged from mediocrity but aren't ready for the next step into title contenders as they get absolutely dominated in games 3-5 by the Bucks. This off-season will be very interesting with Zach LaVine's contract situation looming. (40:20) Ryan Poles turned 6 picks into 11 for this years draft and the Bears came out with some good young talent. Some of which may be able to start right away as rookies.
