On today's episode, Jason and Producer Rob G kicks things off with a deep dive into the Miami Dolphins' suffocating win over the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football. It was Miami's 7th consecutive win. Now, before you start calling the Dolphins a legitimate threat in the AFC, let's not forget that they've faced arguably the worst group of quarterbacks in the NFL over the past month. Speaking of poor quarterback play, did you see that Ian Book performance last night for New Orleans? Saints fans are longing for the days of Jameis Winston, Trevor Siemian and Taysom Hill after that performance. New Orleans should be in the market for a new quarterback next season, but will their salary cap situation allow them to be serious players for the top guys? Doubt it. Finally, the guys close the show by trying to predict how the NFL quarterback carousel will turn in 2022. Would a Super Bowl be enough to keep Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay? Is Russell Wilson a lock for the New York Giants? Can Jimmy G hold on to the San Francisco 49ers starting gig for one more season? The guys have the answers to all those - and more! The New Orleans Saints may be dow 21 players going into the Monday Night matchup against the Miami Dolphins, but that won't stop them from believing they can put together a winning roster and gameplan. The Saints went so far as to sign Blake Bortles to back up young Ian Book and even call Drew Brees and Phillip Rivers to try to lure them out of retirement. The NFL is not going to move this game, so New Orleans must find a way to win under more trying circumstances. No Taysom hill and Trevor Siemian has dominated the airwaves this week, but the Saints may have a big concern on the defensive side as well without both Demario Davis and Kwon Alexander. Can rookie Pete Werner step up into a shot-caller role? And will Zack Baun be the guy to line up beside him despite struggling in Week 2? The Saints will have most of their go-to secondary available, but ironman Malcolm Jenkins looks poised to miss the Monday Night showdown. How New Orleans plays to the strengths of what they have vs. being concerned with what they don't will decide this game. The Saints will also be without key special teams players this week in Pro Bowler JT Gray andRB Dwayne Washington among others. Who will step up in their absence? And how working without Special Teams Coordinator Darren Rizzi impacts this game. The Carolina Panthers are losing players to their own concerns around COVID protocols, Brain Burns and Shaq Thompson highlight the list. But something to keep an eye on as the Saints and Panthers square off next weekend. Follow & Subscribe to the Locked On Saints Podcast on these platforms…

The New Orleans Saints had a lot of interest in Notre Dame quarterback Ian Book at last offseason's Senior Bowl, and even before. Senior Bowl Executive Director Jim Nagy had early indications of the Saints' interest in the talented rookie QB. He joins the show to talk about wha the team liked about him, his ability to quickly learn a playbook, and what he believes Book will bring to the NFL field. No better person to hear from about Ian Book than Ian Book himself. Our friends at ABC 10 in Sacramento caught up with the Fight Irish alum just before the 2021 NFL Draft at his high school alma mater. Book discusses his influences, what he feels he does best on the field, and what he believes are his three best skillsets. While the airwaves will be filled with conversation around Ian Book, there are other stories to be aware of. Terron Armstead and Ryan Ramczyk were estimated to have missed practice on Thursday, and nine total names find their way to the COVID/Reserve list. Those names include starting safety Malcolm Jenkins, QBs. Taysom Hill and Trevor Siemian, and more reserve offensive and defensive linemen. The team may need to be creative when it comes to depth and rotation on both sides of the ball. Follow & Subscribe to the Locked On Saints Podcast on these platforms…

The New Orleans Saints added quarterbacks Taysom Hill and Trevor Siemian to the COVID/Reserve list Thursday morning leading to the expectation that rookie QB Ian Book will be the starter on Monday Night Football against the Miami Dolphins. With Jameis Winston's season over on the injured reserve list, Book would be the fourth starting signal caller for the Saints. Ian Book was a highly-coveted draft prospect by the New Orleans Saints beyond just his Senior Bowl performance. As the winningest quarterback in Notre Dame history, the Fighting Irish alum crafted a high profile which checked a lot of boxes for Sean Payton, Ronald Curry and even drew praise from Drew Brees himself.  Expect the Saints offense to look akin to what it did in the team's win over the New York Jets a pair of weeks ago. Condensed, quick-passing, simple reads, and a heavy dose of Alvin Kamara and the rushing attack. The defense led by Cam Jordan, Demario Davis, Marshon Lattimore and others will be key, however, there is expectation that more players could be added to the reserve list throughout the week. Can James Robinson be an RB1 against the Texans after Penny just torched them? Rich asks who he would start over James Robinson? Javonte Williams? Devonta Freeman? Miles Sanders? Clyde Edwards-Helaire? Myles Gaskin? How is Matthew handling Deebo Samuel? Is he a WR1 or is there too much downside? Where are his expectations for Cordarrelle Patterson? What's going on with the Cowboys and Dak Prescott? Is Dak still suffering from his injury? How confident is he to start Taysom Hill? Could Sean Payton and the Saints turn to Trevor Siemian? Should you start Jalen Hurts against the Washington Football Team with a thin lineup due to COVID? Is he going to entertain Justin Fields? Does his rushing make up for everything else? Who is he playing over Russell Wilson? Can Primetime Kirk Cousins do it again? Rich asks Matthew for the fantasy outlook of some wide receivers: DK Metcalf, Van Jefferson, Mike Evans, Jaylen Waddle and Hunter Renfrow. How many yards will Jonathan Taylor have this week? Way better than coal in your stocking...... 1. Von Miller is known for dishing out heart-stopping hits as one of the longest-tenured defensive players in the NFL (National Football League). But he still has a soft spot for his opponents. Before he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams, Miller gifted an autographed bottle of wine, featuring an image of his signature eyewear and a handcrafted thank you note, to every player in the AFC West. (The NFL has two conferences, with one being the American Football Conference). Miller sent out a total of 289 bottles and made sure to include players on practice squads and the injured reserve list. 2. Truly a gift from the heart. For years Peyton Manning wrote handwritten notes to athletes and sports figures he admired. He spent his off-season writing to the people on this list, usually after they reached a milestone or retired. He would note the person's respect for the game along with his notes of best wishes. 3. Quarterbacks Joe Flacco and Trevor Siemian have a sweet spot for their linemen. Flacco, who was a backup QB at the time, bought his linemen $2,000 slushie machines for the holidays one year, because why not? And the New Orleans Saints Siemian loved Skittles, so he purchased custom parkas for his linemen that dispense Skittles. Yes, the fur-rim hooded parkas have a button on the chest that, when pushed, Skittles arrive in a coat pocket. 4. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive line is a giving group that put a new spin on gift-giving. Instead of exchanging with each other, they pooled their money to give special bonuses for staff members who might get overlooked. These people take care of them every day like the kitchen staff, trainers and the equipment team. 5. The offensive line is the first line of defense for offensive stars like running backs and quarterbacks. So it makes sense that they're gifted accordingly for taking the big hits. Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson gave his linemen each $12,000 in Amazon stock when he signed his new four-year/$140 million contract. Dallas Cowboys Ezekiel Elliott gifted his linemen John Deere UTVs; Tom Brady doled out new Audi A7s and Tennessee Titans Derrick Henry, custom Pac-Man arcade games.

Dallas Cowboys vs. New Orleans Saints Pick Prediction 12/2/2021 by Tony T. Cowboys at Saints—Amari Cooper appears to be ready to play on Thursday. CeeDee Lamb will return. Cowboys starting right tackle out. On the Saints side Alvin Kamara was limited at practice this week and questionable. Mark Ingram with a knee is questionable. Saints left and right offensive tackle both questionable. At the quarterback position with Trevor Siemian ineffective the Saints could turn to Taysom Hill under center if his foot injury recovers in time. New Orleans was held to 190 yards and six points in a loss to Buffalo at home on Thanksgiving. It is a four game losing streak. Dallas defense surrendered 509 yards to the Raiders last week. They have now lost three of four. But with their three receivers back the Cowboys should be more effective in moving the chains and keeping their defense off the field. Play Dallas -4.

The New Orleans Saints plan to start Taysom Hill on Thursday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys in place of Trevor Siemian. As long as Hill can stay healthy, he should be QB1 for the Saints. The Dallas Cowboys continue to be impacted by the outbreak of COVID-19 across their coaches and players. Even Amari Cooper could go on to miss his third straight game along with several coaches including head coach Mike McCarthy and starting RT Terrence Steele. Meanwhile, the Saints are hoping to get back at least one of their starting running backs in Mark Ingram and/or Alvin Kamara. It was time to move on Trevor Siemian, and one key metric helps to display why. Siemian's inconsistency throwing catchable passes, even when not under pressure is a clear indicator that it was time to try something new, something mobile, at quarterback. Here's why Taysom Hill makes sense moving forward. Follow & Subscribe to the Locked On Saints Podcast on these platforms…

Taysom Hill needs to the New Orleans Saints' starting quarterback moving froward. Trevor Siemian now 0-4 as the Saints starter. With the New Orleans Saints' season threatening to go out with a whimper, the Saints should be starting Taysom Hill at quarterback. Siemian has been on of the NFL's most inefficient passers throughout his four starts, the Saints should see what they can build around Taysom without a competition in play, and there's no reason to not try something new at this point. Barring further injury, this team should be Taysom Hill's moving forward. Why hasn't Hill been starting these last two games as opposed to being the emergency QB? And how much does Taysom truly impact Sean Payton and the Saints' opportunity to get back to their winning ways? New Orleans is dealing with a ton of injuries, but with Siemian unable to elevate the offense as available, Taysom's element of the run game paired with a hopefully healthy Alvin Kamara and/or Mark Ingram in the near future provides the team with something to lean on. With Deonte Harris' 3-game suspension impending, what's the realistic expectation for the Saints in their final six games? A key element around the quarterback position seems to make three of the six look winnable, and those would be a very important set of three wins for the Saints' offseason. The New Orleans Saints offense led by Trevor Siemian is having trouble getting off the ground. Should the Saints consider a shift to Taysom Hill? The New Orleans Saints offense hasn't been the same all of the 2021 NFL season. Sean Payton's offense has stuttered coming out of the gate with both Jameis Winston and Trevor Siemian at quarterback. But now without the arm talent of Winston, the Saints are struggling until defense lighten up in the fourth quarter with a lead. Now, the Saints may want to consider another change at quarterback in favor of Taysom Hill. Hill's dynamic presence, if healthy, could be what the Saints need at this point in the year to turn around their three game losing streak. As the offense improves, so can the defense. Or at leas the circumstances they've had to navigate. Why has the Saints defense struggled in their three losses? Situational play and the run game have put them back on their heels with an offense that's struggled to produce. Now, the New Orleans Saints, even at 5-4 are still well within the conversation for a post season appearance. But they'll have to get out of their own way in order to take advantage. Is a playoff exit better than better NFL Draft positioning in 2022? Appealing to free agents might be the better path than a potential long-term development option at rookie. How the Saints loss to the Titans looks by the numbers. New Orleans Saints Down For The Count? What Went Wrong In Loss To Tennessee Titans

Locked On Saints - Daily Podcast On The New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints lose to the Tennessee Titans 21-23 in Nashville. A questionable roughing the passer call, more penalties, slow start, and self-produced obstacles plague Saints in this loss. Are the Saints done? Down for the count? Why the season isn't lost despite another tough loss. Sean Payton, Demario Davis, Trevor Siemian, and more all point out a need to get the details. So what went wrong for the Saints? Why the season is absolutely salvageable and what it'll take to keep it alive. A treacherous four possession series might have stifled the Saints beyond overcoming. Starting with Kaden Elliss' questionable roughing the passer call, two untimely sacks, a Deonte Harris fumble, and wrapping up with a second redone touchdown surrendered, what could have been substantial momentum for the Saints, flips in the midst of another slow start. The good notes start with Marcus Davenport. Once a player fans wanted on the trading block, now looks like the Saints most fearsome pass rusher and run defender. Running back Mark Ingram becomes the Saints all-time leader in rushing yards, and Deonte Harris, despite his fumble, continues to show development into a more complete receiver. Why Demario Davis isn't giving up on his team, and why you shouldn't either. Follow Ross on Twitter @RossJacksonNOLA Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Before we jump right into the free agents run through Jay's Week 9 takeaways. The Browns played a fantastic game while molly whopping the Bengals, but I am still nowhere near sold on Baker Mayfield. The NFL has several quarterbacks that can win football games when they have a good defense and run game like the Browns. The Cowboys came out and laid an egg, but I will give them a pass with Prescott coming off an injury. The Saints went with Trevor Siemian at QB, and it likely cost them a win. Hopefully, Sean Payton comes to his senses and starts Taysom Hill this week. The Raiders played one of their worst games all season, but it was honestly expected after all this team has been through over the past few weeks. The Chargers pulled off a victory over the Eagles, but I am losing faith in them as a true Super Bowl contender. The Hoodie continued to show off his all-time great coaching skills in a dominant win over the Panthers and has his Patriots over .500 with a rookie at the quarterback position the entire season. In the most surprising game of the day, the Jaguars beat the Bills proving that anything can happen in the NFL. The Titans continued their dominance against good teams after handily beating the red-hot Rams. Finally, we have the talk of the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs just barely squeaking by a Jordan Love-led Packers team. I am not too sure what has happened to Patrick Mahomes, but I am officially starting to worry! -------------------------------------------------------What is Dynasty Owner?
