Listen to today's podcast... Gone are the days that some well-meaning teacher would take their knuckle and drive it into the middle of your back and tell you to sit up straight. The Chiropractic Association has found that even young children are suffering from back pain much earlier than previous generations. Though a major cause of back and neck pain is kids and their backpacks, it is also our overall poor posture. Hours of computer slouching, hunching over while texting and laying around as a couch potato have serious repercussions on our posture.  The good news: there are easy things people can do to Reduce Your Stress By Correcting Your Posture. Take One Action Today To Build Your #Resiliency!      So Here are today's Tips For Building Resiliency and Celebrating Correct Posture Month: Practice the wall stand. Back up to a wall so your heels, buttocks, shoulders and head all lightly touch the wall while you keep everything level, relaxed and aligned– and take 3 slow breaths, feeling your body's best posture. Shoes matter. For women, there is no such thing as a good high heel for your posture. Trade in the stilettos for a shoe that gives you the proper support. Listen to today's podcast... It's the end of the day and you're exhausted, frustrated and wondering why you put up with your difficult boss. If you have been in this situation before, you know just how much they can impact how you feel about your job, and even your own security and confidence. Understanding why some people become more difficult or negative, and when they are more likely to act that way, can prevent you from obsessing about your difficult boss, to the exclusion of all your other colleagues, who were quite pleasant and appreciated your work. By reflecting on your role in these difficult interactions, you will be in a better position to learn strategies to head off and/or counteract the stressful effects of these encounters. Take One Action Today To Build Your #Resiliency!      So here are today's Hot Tips For Building Your Resiliency and Celebrating Home and Office Safety and Security Week The main premise to work from is that difficult people use negative behaviour to get what they want. It has decreased their stress before and they are counting on it to work for them again. We must understand not only what people are going through but also what they expect to gain from being so difficult. Some want to feel more in control. Some want to feel important and listened to, and some want to avoid outright conflict, but will act out their annoyance or disagreement through other negative behaviours. Our role is to find alternate ways of meeting their needs for control, importance or safety. #3450 Day 7: Reduce Your Stress Loop - "7-Day Neuro Reset to Calm Your Nervous System Meditations"

Daily Meditation Podcast

This is your weekly review and integration day, inspired by Dr. Caroline Leaf's work on clearing "your mental mess." In this episode, we revisit the arc of the week—Release, Rest, Ground, Protect, Nurture, Balance—and then we integrate it into one simple, repeatable sequence you can use anytime you need an emotional reset. In this meditation you'll: Review what shifted for you this week Practice a full integration reset (short + repeatable) Choose one "embodied" habit to carry into next week Leave feeling calm, clear, and grounded in your next step Best time to listen: Sunday reset, Monday morning intention-setting, or anytime you want to come back to your baseline. This is day 7 of a 7-day meditation series, "7-Day Neuro Reset to Calm Your Nervous System,"  episodes 3444-3450. ABOUT THIS WEEK'S MEDITATION JOURNEY: Welcome to a brand-new 7-day series on the Daily Meditation Podcast: Neuro Reset—created for that very real moment when the New Year is still here… but your nervous system is already asking for a gentle reboot. Because Week 3 can be a turning point. The excitement of fresh starts fades, your routines get a little wobbly, and your mind starts opening extra tabs: What if I'm behind? What if I can't keep this up? What if I need to start over? If you've felt that, you're not doing anything wrong. It's simply your brain and body recalibrating. This week is designed to help you reset from the inside out—with short, practical meditations that support emotional balance, stress relief, clearer focus, better sleep, and a steadier mood. We'll work with simple tools that calm the nervous system and help you come back to yourself—again and again—without pressure. Each day has an arc and a focus, and today we begin with the arc of Release—releasing mental clutter, tension, and the "I should be doing more" energy… so you can feel lighter, clearer, and more supported moving forward. So settle in. You don't have to force calm. You're simply practicing a reset—one breath at a time. THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE - "The 7-Day Neurocycle Reset Challenge" Every day: 10 minutes (2 minutes breath + 6 minutes guided Neurocycle step + 2 minutes journaling). THIS WEEK'S MEDITATION JOURNEY  Day 1:  Refresh Visualization Day 2:  Affirmation: "Clarity and calm begin with each new step." Day 3:  Coherent Breathing: Inhale ~5 seconds, exhale ~5 seconds (no holds), for 3–5 minutes. Why: A steady rhythm is one of the simplest ways to "reset the system." Day 4:  Gyan Mudra for clarity Day 5:  Fourth Chakra for compassion Day 6:  Neuro Reset Flow meditation, combining the week's techniques Day 7:  Weekly review meditation and closure Welcome to this special series: Refresh — a gentle, powerful reset for the start of a brand new year. If you've been craving that clean-slate feeling—not just on your calendar, but inside your mind and in the way you live—this is for you. Because a new year isn't only a date. It's an invitation. To clear what's been cluttering your inner space… to come back to what matters… and to choose how you want to feel as you move forward. Over the next seven episodes, we're going to refresh seven key areas of your life—not with pressure, perfection, or a long list of goals… but with inner clarity. Think of this series like opening the windows of your life and letting fresh air move through every room. Each day, we'll focus on one area—simple, practical, and deeply supportive. You'll be guided through: a short, grounding insight to create perspective a few reflective prompts to clarify what's true for you right now and a calming meditation to help you integrate the shift—so this becomes something you feel, not just something you think about This isn't about fixing yourself. You're not behind. You don't need to become someone else to have a meaningful year. This is about coming home to yourself—and gently updating the way you live, so your days match the person you're becoming. So wherever you are—making coffee, sitting in your car, walking outside, or curled up in a quiet corner—take a breath and let this be your beginning. Welcome to your refresh. Let's start the year with clarity… and create a life that feels clean, aligned, and truly yours. SHARE YOUR MEDITATION JOURNEY WITH YOUR FELLOW MEDITATORS Let's connect and inspire each other! Gina stresses the significance of accepting changes we cannot control, particularly in the face of the uncertainties brought by events like the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout the episode, Gina offers practical advice, such as resolving legal or financial issues promptly, automating bill payments, delegating tasks efficiently, and decluttering unnecessary items to reduce stress. She also recommends cutting out volunteer work that doesn't serve one's well-being, decreasing time spent with stressful individuals, asking for help with errands, and reevaluating work situations to determine if they bring more negativity than positivity. Gina concludes by quoting Sharon Salzberg and emphasizes the importance of seeking happiness while reducing suffering by making intentional choices. Learn more about your ad choices. NOTES: Stress is when PRESSURE is GREATER than our CAPACITY to handle the situation. As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord's feet, listening to what he taught. But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn't it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:38–42 (NLT) HOW TO MANAGE STRESS 1. REMEMBER WHO GOD IS. Worship reminds me how God is BIGGER than my STRESS. 2. REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE. Avoid COMPARISON. 3. REMEMBER WHAT YOU REALLY NEED What do I really NEED? 4. REMEMBER TO SIT. Your INPUT must exceed your OUTPUT. BOTTOM LINE: I can't control WHAT happens to me, but with God's help, I can choose my RESPONSE. CHALLENGE: Identify one thing to help REDUCE your stress.

It is critical to understand that the body impacts the mind. Standing up straight and walking tall will help you to think and feel better. Reduce Your Stress By Correcting Your Posture and remaining calm, more relaxed, and more physically and mentally healthy. Do you feel like this summer season is messy blessing!? Although we are a good 1/2 way through summer, life continues to throw monkey wrenches even during our best laid plans. We try to stick to routines, and when we don't meet the expectations of our routines we can become disdainful, stressed, hair-raising mad! Rather then embracing this season of slowing down and getting some extra Vitamin D, we are running a race that will only tucker us out! Let's take a collective breath. In today's episode, Kristina discusses how cultivating rhythms (not routines) will create a symphonic flow in our ever changing environments. Rhythms that will help us embrace more of the good, pick our battles, and release the rest to God. Whether you are 1/2 way through summer or listening to this in another actual season in the year, you can use these tips to swipe away feelings of mad-titude and cultivate more gratitude. ----- SHOW NOTES Pilates Membership & Free Class Monthly Pilates Membership First class is FREE. Email: Kristina@AndThenBeWell.com FREE PILATES CLASS to get started! Happy Monday Friend!!   If you have been enjoying learning about living a simpler life on this podcast, please take 30 seconds and leave a rating and review and let me know what you are loving about this podcast  because that is how more people can learn about this podcast!  Thank you so much!!!!! There are so many benefits to living a simpler life and after living the chaotic life for many years, I can't even imagine going back to that.  I never have guilt that I am unable to attend events and activities because now my schedule is flexible and I don't have to miss out on anything and there is just an everyday enjoyment to life because my focus is on the things that matter to me and that I value.  I want you to have this pure joy every day as well so here are 6 benefits you will enjoy when you slow down and live with more intention. By simplifying your life, you can eliminate many of the things that cause you stress, such as clutter, excess possessions, and a hectic schedule. This can help you feel calmer and more relaxed. How would you like to reduce some of your stress?  Simplifying your life can also free up more time for the things that really matter, such as spending time with loved ones, pursuing hobbies and interests, and spending time doing things you enjoy.  Who wouldn't enjoy spending time your way. Living a simpler life often means spending less money on things you don't really need, which can result in significant financial savings over time and I'm sure you are looking to save money right now since groceries and regular expenses keep increasing.  When you have fewer distractions in your life, you may find it easier to focus on what's important and make decisions with more clarity and purpose. You may have more time to prepare healthy meals, exercise, and get enough rest when you simplify which will help with overall better health. Living a simpler life often means consuming less and producing less waste, which can have positive environmental impact.   Getting started on a simpler life can be a gradual process, but here are some tips to help you begin: Declutter: Start by getting rid of things you no longer need or use. This can help you create more physical space and mental clarity. Donate, sell, or recycle items that are still in good condition and focus on keeping  the things that are truely important and meaningful to you. Streamline and Simplify your schedule: Take a look at your daily schedule and see if there are any activities or commitments you can cut back on or eliminate altogether. Prioritize the things that bring you joy and fulfillment, and let go of the rest.  Focus on saying "no" to commitments and activities that don't align with your values or goals so you can make sure you are doing things that are important to you. Practice mindfulness and take time to be present and fully engaged in the moment. This can help you appreciate the simple things in life and reduce stress and anxiety. Reduce screen time and digital distractions: Limit your use of technology and social media to help you disconnect. Focus on being present in the moment and engaging with the people and activities around you Practice gratitude: Take time to appreciate and be thankful for the things you have in life. This can help you find contentment and satisfaction with a simpler lifestyle.  Explore living with less and finding joy in the simple things in life. Simplifying your life is a process and it won't happen overnight. Start with small steps and be gentle with yourself as you make changes. Over time, you may find that living a simpler life brings greater joy and fulfillment to your daily life.   Website: Claimingsimplicity.com Join our Community of Christian Moms -> https://www.facebook.com/groups/claimingsimplicity/ Email -> monica@claimingsimplicity.com Instagram -> https://www.instagram.com/claimingsimplicity/   xoxo, Monica
