Since Fran Pratt was a child, she has always been interested in people and how relationships work.  This has translated into her specialisation on the company-client relationship and specifically the art of selling.  Selling has been part of Fran's life for over 25 years and in every industry, in small or large businesses, she has been successful. Fran loves sales! She also knows that for many people, “sales” is a dirty word because it's been disconnected from this key relationship that you have with your customers. Fran has completed a Graduate Certificate in Change Management and an MBA from Melbourne Business School. Coupled with my hands-on sales and business experience, she has a toolbox of techniques that she draws on to help businesses better understand themselves and their customers. Fran Pratt created Metisan to bridge that gap, to demystify the sales process and sales people so that anyone can improve their sales performance. Her vision is a world where business owners both understand and respect their clients, understand how to foster this relationship through the art of sales.  She has a young family and bonus kids from her husband, and so also knows what it is to juggle personal and business priorities – always open and curious to learn how to try new things and do life differently. Originally trained as a lawyer, and currently practising as a registered psychologist, Emily Knowles has a deep interest and investment at the intersection of these two fields. Lawyer wellbeing, and the issue of wellbeing amongst the profession more generally, is a cause to which she is deeply committed. After spending time in her early career clerking in both criminal and civil jurisdictions, she worked as a Judge's Associate in the Supreme Court before discovering and deciding that while her head was in the law, her heart was very much aligned with the human-side of the job. In time she finessed that passion to support the human at work : pursuing specialism in Organisational Psychology. She now devotes a considerable amount of her professional time and effort supporting an occupational approach towards wellbeing, amongst other solutions in the world of work. Her areas of subject matter expertise include wellbeing, leadership, leader wellbeing, individual differences (eg values and personality), culture and performance. Solutions are sometimes 'wellbeing specific', and other times the wellbeing lens is more embedded and integrated into other leadership/performance/culture work.   Emily currently consults with The Human Link (www.humanlink.co )   The poem Ush refers to: https://simpleandpractical.com/stages-change-poem/   Chapter I I walk down the street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I fall in. I am lost… I am hopeless. It isn't my fault. It takes forever to find a way out.   Chapter II I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I pretend I don't see it. I fall in again. I can't believe I am in this same place. But it isn't my fault. It still takes a long time to get out.   Chapter III I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I see it there. I still fall in… it's a habit… but, my eyes are open. I know where I am. It is my fault. I get out immediately.   Chapter IV I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I walk around it.   Chapter V I walk down another street.

Following on from the last couple of episodes with Jacqui close to burnout, and Ush making hard decisions herself, this guest had just what they both needed to hear. Brigette Sigley was the ultimate superwoman juggling a successful business and family. Like many she didn't see the warning signs. First came a brain tumour then breast cancer. She felt totally responsible for bringing in an income and providing for the needs of her family. Living by the hormones of stress had become her “normal”. Brigette realised she needed to find a way to live so she could be there for her family. Brigette went on a transformational journey. Over a 4 year period, she trained with some of the world's best health practitioners from both Eastern and Western Medicine. She researched the science behind stress and studied to become an Integrated Health Coach out of the Institute of Integrated Nutrition in New York. She also studied with many of the Masters in India. Ten years later she now has that elusive life balance without having to sacrifice anything. Her passion is inspiring women to get off the hamster wheel and to reignite their life so they can experience more peace and fulfilment and to avoid a stress related crisis like the one she went through.   Saying No script: https://brigettesigley.com/free-saying-no-with-kindness-script/   https://brigettesigley.com/book-a-strategy-call-with-brigette/

For self love month in February, Jacqui speaks with the author of The Art of Self Love, and the host of the Self Love podcast - Kim Morrison! There is so much more to Kim Morrison than meets the eye (or ear). Tenacity is probably the first word that comes to mind. Her journey and all she has accomplished to date has all stemmed from her unwavering self-belief and her deep understanding that you must also take care of yourself first and foremost. Kim set a world record as the youngest female to run 100miles in less than 24 hours in 1983. Cliff Young was her mentor throughout and still to this day lives by his ethos that success is 90% mental and 10% physical. She has used her running story as a direct metaphor for life – riding the highs, hitting the walls, pushing through the pain barriers, crossing the line and never, ever giving up! Kim wholeheartedly believes that it’s about visualising your dream and going for it – regardless of the feedback you receive or the challenges you face. In 2008 Kim founded Twenty8 Essentials, an organic chemical-free skincare and aromatherapy company with inspiring, online education programs around the fundamentals of self-care. She is a five times best-selling author, facilitator, Health and Lifestyle Educator. https://twenty8.com/kim-morrison/ https://kimmorrison.com
