HeLIX Exploration PLC (AIM:HEX) chairman David Minchin talked with Proactive about the company's latest developments, focusing on helium exploration at the Ingomar Dome and the ongoing commercialization of the Rudyard project. Minchin explained the decision to acidise the Charles Formation, noting that it offers a cost-effective way to test for helium potential. He emphasised that while the company remains focused on the Rudyard project—expected to generate between $15 million and $25 million annually—there is significant upside at Ingomar Dome, where previous drilling provided promising helium and hydrogen indications. Regarding Rudyard, Minchin discussed the company's progress in advancing production. Helix Exploration has completed a £5 million placing, securing funding to bring Rudyard into production while also supporting growth projects and M&A opportunities. The company is working on acquiring membrane units and permitting additional production wells, with the goal of moving into positive cash flow in 2025. On future plans, Minchin clarified why the company is prioritising testing the Charles Formation over the Flathead Formation, citing logistical and cost considerations related to using hydrofluoric acid during winter. However, it may revisit the Flathead testing later in the year. Stay tuned for more updates on HeLIX Exploration's helium and hydrogen developments.

Zak Mir talks to David Minchin, Chairman of Helix Exploration, about the latest from Rudyard and how this week's fundraiser will take the helium explorer to production. Helix Exploration PLC has announced updated helium reserves and economic modelling results for its Rudyard Project. The company plans to raise a minimum of £4 million through a share issue to fund the development and production, targeting significant cash flow and market expansion. The first production is expected in Q2 2025. Highlights of Reserves and Economic Modelling •     Reserves of 355 million cubic feet of helium calculated by Aeon Petroleum Consultants Corp. ("Aeon") on northern dome only •     Net Revenue $115.2m over 12.5-year life of field and peak sustained post-tax cash flow of $15-25 million per year using a flat helium price of $500/Mcf •     Aeon modelling results in NPV8 of $77.9m and IRR >1,000% on reserves in northern part of dome •     In-house modelling results in NPV8 of circa $145m and Net Revenue circa $220m including contingent resources in southern part of dome •     Results from Darwin #1 indicate closure is larger than expected under current structural model Bo Sears, CEO of Helix Exploration, said: "We are delighted to announce updated reserves and economic forecasts for Rudyard Project which demonstrate the potential to generate free cash flow of $15 - $25 million per year post-tax and post-royalty, and net revenue of $115 - $220 million over a 12.5-year life of field.  Reserves demonstrate discovered commercial helium that underly the value of the Rudyard Project and considerable upside for long term shareholders." "With the expected completion of the proposed fundraise, Helix will be fully funded to bring the Rudyard Project into production and positive cash-flow, targeting first production within Q2 of this year.  Early cashflow gives Helix the freedom to pursue exploration and M&A, self-financing development and growing Helix into a strategic helium producer for the USA market." David Minchin, Chairman of Helix Exploration, said "The decision to move forward with an equity raise comes after a detailed review of the economic model and terms of available debt finance.  Equity became preferable over debt considering the high cost of debt capital as well as onerous terms including long term take-or-pay agreements that would have limited the Company's ability to market produced helium to end-users and the wider USA market.  In-house analysis showed a higher post-dilution NPV per share on an equity raise compared to a debt raise, demonstrating that equity would be the preferred finance route to grow the Company and deliver long-term benefit to shareholders." "We look forward to an active period for the Company as we move to complete the proposed fundraise and accelerate Rudyard into production."

Watch the best scene reading: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbYF3iAqTGE A newlywed couple takes on a one time gig to make ends meet and wind up creating America's very first sitcom in the process… based on a true story. Get to know the writer: What is your screenplay about? This is easily the hardest question – there's so much to say about this! This screenplay is a based on the true story of Mary Kay and Johnny Stearns, a couple of Broadway-bound newlyweds living in New York City during the dawn of the small screen. It's an interesting time to be sure – post WWII, there are less TV sets in the U.S. than residents in all of of Manhattan. There's more dead air than actual programming, and anything that does make it to air is done live. The pair manage to get their hands on 15 minutes of precious air-time, and are given carte blanch to make something great with it. They have no idea what they're doing… but, then again, neither does anyone else! What they come up with is a show about their lives, featuring them as, well, themselves. In doing so, they accidentally create America's very first sitcom, breaking barriers that would soon be too taboo to show on screen, from sharing a bed, to sharing a child years before I Love Lucy and The Munsters. … And yet, nobody knows about it! The reason for this is multifold. Some seasons weren't recorded at all, or were recorded with lackluster equipment. Years later, company takeovers resulted in entire reels being thrown out. Of 300 episodes, only one remains. What I'm proposing is a show about the making of this show. This screwball dramedy miniseries would follows the three season timeline of the original, and be in the vein of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, but with the self-awareness of Kevin Can Fuck Himself. Interview with David Minchin, Chairman of Helix ExplorationOur previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/helix-exploration-lsehex-strategic-acquisition-aiming-for-near-term-production-5576Recording date: 30th July 2024Helix Exploration is positioning itself as a key player in the burgeoning helium market, with two large-scale, low-risk exploration projects in Montana. The company's strategic focus on helium, a critical component in various high-tech applications, sets it apart in the resource sector and offers investors exposure to a commodity with robust demand growth and constrained supply.Chairman David Minchin emphasizes the unique nature of their product: "Helium is a technology commodity, it's not an energy commodity. It's not a transition, it is technology for the high-tech lifestyle that we live now." This underscores the critical role helium plays in industries ranging from healthcare (MRI machines) to electronics manufacturing (microchips) and aerospace. The company's near-term catalysts make it particularly interesting for investors. Drilling is set to commence in Q3 2024, with production targeted before the end of 2025. This accelerated timeline from exploration to potential production is a key advantage of helium projects compared to traditional oil and gas ventures.Helix's first drilling target at the Ingomar project builds on historical data, reducing exploration risk. The company is twinning and deepening a well that previously discovered non-flammable gas but was never assayed for helium. This approach, coupled with modern exploration techniques, enhances the probability of success.Financially, Helix is well-positioned. An oversubscribed IPO in April raised $9.5 million, with the two-well drilling program budgeted at $4.1 million. This leaves substantial funds for development work and potential production setup. The capital efficiency of helium projects is noteworthy, with Minchin suggesting that a $19 million investment could potentially yield an NPV of over $300 million, assuming a 1.5% helium concentration. The helium market dynamics strongly favor new entrants like Helix. Prices have been increasing by 20% annually over the last decade, driven by growing demand and constrained supply. Bulk spot prices have risen from $100 per mcf to $500, with some buyers paying over $1,000 per mcf.Investors should be aware of the risks, primarily centered around the upcoming drilling results. Key factors determining success include helium grade, flow rates, deposit size, and gas composition. Results are expected by the end of September 2024, providing a near-term catalyst for potential value realization.Montana's strategic location between the East and West coasts of the United States offers logistical advantages for distribution, enhancing the project's potential profitability. The macro environment for helium is favorable, with increasing demand driven by the growth of AI, the Internet of Things, and the trend of onshoring high-tech manufacturing to the United States. Traditional sources of helium as a byproduct of large-scale LNG operations are not keeping pace with this demand growth, creating opportunities for dedicated helium producers. For investors, Helix Exploration represents an opportunity to gain exposure to a critical commodity in the tech sector. The company's well-funded position, efficient project economics, and strong market dynamics make it a compelling prospect. However, as with any early-stage resource company, thorough due diligence is essential. The upcoming drilling results will be crucial in determining the company's future prospects and potential returns for investors.View Helix Exploration's company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/helix-explorationSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

HeLIX Exploration PLC (LSE:HEX) chairman David Minchin joins Proactive's Stephen Gunnion following the company's listing on London's AIM market, a significant milestone for the company. Minchin told Proactive that Helix Exploration is engaged in helium exploration in Montana, focusing on the Ingomar Dome, spanning over 16,500 acres. The company boasts a P50 resource estimate of 2.3 billion cubic feet of helium, with potential upside exceeding 6 billion cubic feet. This venture is substantially de-risked by historical drilling evidence of gas across target reservoir horizons. Notably, several formations have shown promising gas presence, setting a solid foundation for drilling activities slated for the third quarter of this year as the company aims for first production by end-2025. Minchin said the Initial Public Offering (IPO) was notably oversubscribed, raising £7.5 million against a target of £3.5 to £5 million, leading to a market capitalisation of approximately £12 million. This capital will finance the drilling and appraisal of a well, alongside an extended flow test. The significant interest is partly attributed to CEO and founder Bo Sears, a renowned figure in helium exploration with over 25 years of experience in the field. HeLIX Exploration aims to leverage the helium market's robust dynamics, highlighted by a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20% in helium prices over the past decade and high demand from both Chinese importers and US end-users, Minchin said. The company plans to position itself advantageously within this market, particularly benefiting from the US Chips Act, which is expected to boost domestic demand for helium due to increased semiconductor manufacturing. Investors can anticipate several milestones in the near term, including the commencement of a scoping study, drilling activities in Q3, and the initiation of an extended flow test. These efforts are expected to culminate in significant developments towards the construction phase and the enhancement of HeLIX Exploration's project pipeline within the Montana helium fairway. #HelixExploration #HeliumMarket #AIMListing #MontanaHelium #EnergyExploration #IPOSuccess #NaturalGas #InvestmentOpportunity #ResourceEstimation #MarketDynamics #ProactiveInvestors #InsertCompanyName #InsertStockMarket #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

This week I am so honored to introduce you to someone I'm thrilled to have on who I met through a mutual friend and former guest on the show, John Paul Rice!  When John reached out about doing this interview, I knew this would be an amazing show full of value! Joining us this week is Tracy Minchin - Founder and Director of ‘The Ruby Organization'! In their words: “The Ruby Organization is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. In coordination with other area service providers, we offer resources and mentoring for women seeking to leave the sex industry or are victims of human trafficking. We provide awareness training for the community and have a field team working with women in area strip clubs and the sex industry to offer hope and opportunity.” One of the many reasons I'm excited to speak to Tracy today is because one of the most frequent questions I get asked is, “What can I do to get involved in this fight against human sex trafficking?” Hopefully this episode inspires you to walk away with amazing insight on how to research organizations that exist in your area while also giving you some tools on what questions to ask and what to look for in your own quest to take action. The other reason why I'm excited to have Tracy on is because we are going to talk about an element of sex trafficking that we haven't covered in depth often enough on this show - adult sex trafficking. If you've been following our podcasts, you have heard many stories of the horrific things that happen to children when they are born or sold into these horrific systems. But what happens to that child down the road if they never leave or escape these systems? What happens to the naive and vulnerable adult women who weren't born into these systems but get promised money, a lavish lifestyle, and fame and fortune, only to be thrown into a strip club to end up being trafficked and abused? The adult entertainment industry is a cesspool of human trafficking, and we should all be so grateful that someone like Tracy volunteers her time to rescue women out of these abusive systems.  CONNECT WITH TRACY:Website: Sex Trafficking Support | The Ruby OrganizationDonate and/or Volunteer: Survivor support | The Ruby OrganizationFacebook: (1) The Ruby Organization | FacebookPurchase 'Behind the Screen' book: SHOP | The Ruby OrgContact Tracy: Human trafficking hotline | The Ruby OrganizationCONNECT WITH THE IMAGINATION:All links: Emma Pietrzak on Direct.meInstagram: EMMA✨KATHERINE (@theemmapreneurofficial) • Instagram photos and videosTelegram: Telegram: Contact @standbysurvivorsTikTok: Emma Katherine (@theimaginationpodcast) TikTok | Watch Emma Katherine's Newest TikTok VideosWebsite: Stand By Survivors - Everyone Has A Story...Survivor Store: Survivor Store (standbysurvivors.com) Support the show

E., O'Rahilly, S., Patel, S., Fazakerley, D. J., Prudent, J., Semple, R. K., Savage, D. B. Abstract: Objective: A biallelic missense mutation in mitofusin 2 (MFN2) causes multiple symmetric lipomatosis and partial lipodystrophy, implicating disruption of mitochondrial fusion or interaction with other organelles in adipocyte differentiation, growth and/or survival. In this study, we aimed to document the impact of loss of mitofusin 1 (Mfn1) or 2 (Mfn2) on adipogenesis in cultured cells. Methods: We characterised adipocyte differentiation of wildtype (WT), Mfn1-/- and Mfn2-/- mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs) and 3T3-L1 preadipocytes in which Mfn1 or 2 levels were reduced using siRNA. Results: Mfn1-/- MEFs displayed striking fragmentation of the mitochondrial network, with surprisingly enhanced propensity to differentiate into adipocytes, as assessed by lipid accumulation, expression of adipocyte markers (Plin1, Fabp4, Glut4, Adipoq), and insulin-stimulated glucose uptake. RNA sequencing revealed a corresponding pro-adipogenic transcriptional profile including Pparg upregulation. Mfn2-/- MEFs also had a disrupted mitochondrial morphology, but in contrast to Mfn1-/- MEFs they showed reduced expression of adipocyte markers and no increase in insulin-stimulated glucose uptake. Mfn1 and Mfn2 siRNA mediated knockdown studies in 3T3-L1 adipocytes generally replicated these findings. Conclusions: Loss of Mfn1 but not Mfn2 in cultured pre-adipocyte models is pro-adipogenic. This suggests distinct, non-redundant roles for the two mitofusin orthologues in adipocyte differentiation. Copy rights belong to original authors. Which sounds a bit precarious, but you get the idea: getting the best out of people is based on getting to know them, and that means getting out of the office and into conversation. While there are stacks of business books written for leaders and entrepreneurs, relatively few are aimed at frontline managers (same goes for training, interestingly), and Kate wanted to right this wrong. The result is Always Time for Coffee: A Down-To-Earth Guide for Frontline Managers, Team Leaders and Supervisors, full of real-life wisdom and tactical, practical tips for happier and more productive teams. We began in London, with chance meetings at parents groups, and ended in California, with a big singalong. Along the way Tim reflected on life as an ex pat, and his return to his homeland. One for fans of Minchin, and of song.
