Two nerds in a basement talking about everything from gamma rays to random obscure 1990's references. One of us has over a decade in the film industry with insight and behind the scenes secrets and the other has a basement. Thanks for listening and enjoy!
Antman and the Wasp Quantumania trailer is out and about. It looks awesome. Guardians of Galaxy Holiday special trailer is out as well. It looks awesome. James Gunn and Peter Safran take over as DC bosses. It will be awesome. She Hulk still has Adam hurting. Looking for a fourth-wall break therapist who can help him move the hell on. She doesnt love you man, its over. You'll meet someone new in Wakanda Forever.
No matter how fast Adam runs, She Hulk is lurking around every corner. The shows writers and directors let everyone know how close She Hulk was to being better than it was. Also the Young Avengers is pretty much on the way with several key characters rumored to be showing up in Agatha Coven of Chaos. Oh yeah one last thing…Henry Cavill is back as Superman! Enjoy the day and embrace the new hierarchy of DC.
What in the blue hell just happened in She Hulk? No, literally what just happened? This series needs to come with instructions on how to watch it. Even with the mistakes made and confusing plot, was it still better than most?? Also Werewolf By Night crushes MCU's first spooky outing. What a delight to be delighted by black and white. Anyways enjoy meeting K.E.V.I.N.
In the latest episode of life nerds are given a gift from the almighty… HUGH JACKMAN IS BACK AS WOLVERINE! With Deadpool nonetheless! What a great way to bring sunshine back into the world of mutants. Also Namor is confirmed to be a mutant in Wakanda Forever, Astonishing X-Men rumored to be the inspiration behind MCU mutants, and James Earl Jones signs his voice away to Disney so we can have Darth Vader forever…. Anyways can we just talk about Wolverine for a moment…. I mean holy flippin cow. Enjoy the day and go have a “Smell-See”
D23 came and went with several B+ reveals such as the Thunderbolts line-up, Werewolf By Night trailer, Secret Invasion trailer, and more. Also Hutch makes it very clear Thor 4 sucks, while Adam just cannot comprehend the idea. Also, also…. Hutch and Adam make a rule no more drinking BEFORE the podcast. Enjoy the random as hell ride that is nothing in this podcast.
The people wanted it and the people got it. Darell stopped in and decided to sprinkle some of his class onto Talking Capes. Adam also realized some people other than Hutch did not like Thor: Love & Thunder. In other news, Black Panther 2 had some reshoots and additional scenes added recently, rumor has it that Letitia Wright is the cause for concern. Also DC cannot land the big fish as Dan Lin does NOT become their “Feige.” In many words not so beautifully stated… get crunk, get jiggy, and get down tonight.
In an incredibly deep and revealing episode Adam and Hutch ask the most relevant and hard-hitting question, to twerk or not to twerk? What in the green hell is everyone so upset at, let's find out. She Hulk is pushing the needle but is it in the right way? Also some big supposed leaks for Disney's D23 this weeekend was revealed. Some big big names are coming, maybe, not for sure, probably not… but hey its friggin fun to speculate. Also enjoy whatever this episode turned into. Have a great freakin day.
In this meaty, oversized, comicbook crossover special, Adam and Hutch have finally invited the budding number 1 TC fan, Kyle, to take part in an epic self-discovery of who is Talking Capes, what is Talking Capes, why is Talking Capes. Kyle gives his very special insider take on how it was working for a comicbook company and the behind the scenes work that goes into something as small as one issue. As Kyle's wall decor of his home states… Home is where you are.
Adam's favorite episode to date. What a child he is. Also Adam and Hutch get into a heated debate over She Hulk's first episode's writing, but find common ground with the overall rating of the show. Ezra Miller finally issues an apology of sorts. DC is looking to hire its multiverse version of Kevin Feige… And remember all of this doesn't even matter if you don't if you dont have the internet. Enjoy the 69th episode of Adam is a little kid.
Adam finds out how much Alexa really is listening, WB/Discovery is done with Batgirl and how many other DC projects are next. Adam's review of Sandman is long and boring just like the first episode, while Prey returns the predator series to better days. Enjoy the day of sun and fun with a hotdog bun.
San Diego Comic Con came and went, along with every cosplayers dream of being relevant for a weekend. Marvel brought everything but the kitchen sink, while DC was hit with the kitchen sink. We have Kang, Multiverse War, Fantastic Four, and tons of release dates. Also Wakanda Forver slaps haaaaard in the emotions, while Black Adam did nothing to change the hierarchy… empty promises Dwayne.
Welp looks like fan-favorite Zack Snyder may have a little more Lex Luthor in him than we thought. Also the hype for San Diego Comic-Con is hiiiigh with everything from MCU to Henry Cavill possibly returning to DC. Who the hell knows… Enjoy the morning, its 5 o'clock somewhere.
Thor: Love & Thunder has the nation divided more than if Trump and Biden boxed naked in the woods. Does it suck or is it awesome? Also Miss Marvel comes out swinging with the finale to try and recoup the reviews and ratings, did it work?… No, no it did not. As per usual The Boys save the day. Enjoy the dentist, it sucks.
Ms Marvel is on a downward spiral with ratings, The Boys has its worst episode yet, and big changes on the horizon for DC. Superman and Lois ends its second season and firmly pushes away from the CWverse. Also does anyone at WB really give a crap about Ezra Miller? Shame I say, SHAME!!!
With all of the crappy, no-good, pandering attempts of superhero entertainment, The Boys deliver per usual. An all out throw down with Butcher and Homelander took everyone by suprise while Herogasm under delivered on the hype. Still better than anything out there right now. Also Howard Stern's hot mic captures some interesting news about a Dr Doom movie….in this day and age who knows what he'll be doing. Enjoy the day and binge a show.
The epic finale of Obi Wan Kenobi that concludes an unknown story arc that you already knew exactly how it turns out, leaves you only with one question, did we really need this series? Spoiler Alert, the answer is no. Ms Marvel is starting to seperate from the mainstream MCU story (dont worry, Hawkeye still sucks more). Also The Boys delivers again per usual…. onto Herogasm!?
Ms Marvel is meh, Obi Wan is meh, DC entertainment as a whole is meh, but The Boys……oooooohhhhh The Boys. Always deliver, always entertain, always what the people want and neeeeed. Thank you to all the heroes involved in giving us something that adds value to our meaningless everyday lives. Also get outside, its nice out.
Tired of the milk-toast storylines of Obi Wan and Ms Marvel? Go to your Amazon Prime app, click on The Boys season 3, and be prepared to google things that you didn't even know existed. Holy guacamole! What in the derranged world did they do to come up with this crap?! I mean the first three episode of The Boys would make Jeffrey Epstein blush. Too soon? Anyways enjoy the podcast and tell a Star Wars fan how you really feel.
Ooooh buddy… What a wild ride Jack Sparrow and Mera were on. Who knew this would be more entertaining than Justice League (the one where Joss Whedon ruined everything but turns out it was all kinda trash anyways). Obi Wan Kenobi returns in the much anticipated Star Wars show. Episode 1 and 2 review coming in hot with the good and bad. Also the CW is absolute garbage with even attempting to push Gotham Knights onto society. Shame on you CW… SHAME!!!
In today's slightly above average episode Adam and Hutch get into how Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers movie got it right on all levels. What an out of left-field delight. In other news Thor 4 drops a new trailer that devides Adam and Hutch more than spicy food. Love Death and Robots Vol 3 dropped on Netflix and it doesn't disappoint, while She-Hulk trailer did dissapoint. Who knows the hell is even going on over there but millions of people will still watch it. Enjoy the day and everything that comes with it… except Amber Heard.
Finally The Capes have come back to podcasting! (yelled in The Rock's voice) Here it is, Doctor Stephen Strange's second official outing. The good, the bad, the completely awesome cameos that blew everyone's minds!!! With a spoiler filled review and an honest attack from Hutch on Adam's view of cameos in superhero movies. Also She-Hulk reports says it will suck and Disney+ shows are on the decline apparently. Anywhoooooo enjoy the fun stuff that makes you happy… You're welcome.
The final epsiode of Moon Knight arrived. Is it the season or series finale… Marvel doesn't know either. Aquaman supposedly is debating on cutting Amber Heard from an already low 10 minutes cameo. Also does anyone care about anything else DC? No. The answer is no. Enjoy everything always all the time everyday.
Who would have thought the battle between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard would be better than Batman v Superman?? What a sh!tshow that is… thank God for comicbook podcasts. Also the latest episode of Where is Moon Knight has some people devided, mainly Adam and Hutch. Opinions collide with no one to really care who's right. Another fun thing that no one cares about… CinemaCon ‘22 happened. Have a great day.
Well this was an editing nightmare… three people, two mics, enjoy the audio professionalism. Anyways our good old buddy Chops drops by to give Hutch and Adam a dose of reality that not everyone dedicates their lives to finding out how many times Ezra Miller gets arrested. Thor 4 teaser trailer was released with plenty of fun reveals. Will Thor die, will Loki show up, will any of this matter because the MCU will just retcon it. Enjoy the fun with extra friends.
Discovery buys Warner Bros for $43 billion, what could happen next? Maybe CW shows all get the ax… miracles can happen. Moon Knight gets very interesting very quickly and there is no signs of slowing down yet. Ezra Miller is screwed, DC is screwed, Amber Heard is screwed… but Michael Keaton is back as Batman sooo theres a win. Also some fun insight on Adam's dolls. Have a fantastic day and go watch the final battle in Endgame again.
Would you rather watch Spiderman 3 one thousand times in a row or watch Morbius once… Bring on the Tobey Maguire dance scene please. What a load of crap that movie was. Anyways, DC hits pause on everything Ezra Miller and the future of the Flash does not look good. However in an alternate universe run by Marvel, Moon Knight just keeps delivering. Episode 2 shows a lot of what could be and leaves more questions than answers. Also Halo premiers on Paramount+. Mehhh. Enjoy Morbius… said no one ever!
Soooooo besides anything to do with Will Smith, Moonknight episode 1 debuted with great success. Morbius currently sits at a 27% rotten tomatoes rating. Ezra Miller is a piece of hot garbage. She-Hulk has suspected issues behind the scenes for the tone of the show…. aaaaand The Batman released a deleted Joker scene. It was furiously fun filled week of news and what some would call entertainment. Enjoy the dumpster fire that is Talking Capes.
Today on the self-awarded winningest podcast Adam and Hutch figure out how much Morbius will suck after more reshoots/scene cuts with Adrian Toomes, as well as how Kraven is starting to look with set photo leaks. Samuel L Jackson reveals he wouldn't do a DC movie because they don't know what they're doing and Secret Invasion reveals who Emelia Clark is playing. Also the Underworld Franchise… underrated or overrated?
Upload Season 2 was released on Amazon and it is just as delightful as the first season. Did you ever wonder if you needed more Ryan Reynolds in your life? Well look no further as Netflix pumps out another mildly entertaining movie with Ryan Reynolds as Ryan Reynolds. Also the first trailer for Ms Marvel is released and everyone is “mehh” about it. Shazam 2 plot leaked online and it does not look good for DC. Also at the end of the day who cares because we're spoiled rotten as comicbook nerds. Enjoy the day because daylight savings happened for maybe the last time.
One year of Talking Capes, Adam and Hutch celebrate being the greatest duo since Batman & Robin, Superman & Kryponite, Gwen Stacy & heights, Blade & the sun, Hulk & xanax, Magneto & the Green New Deal, Black Widow & Disney+, Fast & The Furious, Kingpin & Hawaiian shirts, The Boys & a PG-13 Rating, Deadpool & a PG-13 Rating, Wolverine & PG-13 Rating, Amber Heard & lie detector, and CW & terrible craptastic show writing. Enjoy the milestone of everyone's day.
Leaks, more leaks, and some random rumors. That's all you get until The Batman comes out this week. Batgirl and Secret War set photos provide some spoilery style info and Micahel Keaton drops some interesting info about the future of the Vulture. Also Joe Magicmikenllo teases the return of Deathstroke. May the savior of DC, James Gunn, revive this character. Have a great day friends and remember to walk slow with a swagger.
WOW oh WOW did Peacemaker deliver! What a great addition to the canon of the DC world… all to have it wiped away by the upcoming Flash movie. So much good for it not to matter. Also the boys talk a little about fake spoiler articles to get clicks, is it a form of torture, Adam certainly thinks so. Don't forget to remeber to always, ALWAYS, ask your wife for permission to leave the house! Have a great day yaaaaallllllll!
WOW oh WOW… Could Doctor Strange 2 be bigger than No Way Home?? The options seem endless with how epic this movie could be? Possibly too much hype?? Not enough hype?? Also DC shows up in a decently big way by showing what the future of movies looks like… spoiler, not that bad. However with all these unanswered questions, always rely on Peacemaker. Thank baby Jesus for Peacemaker… said no one ever… until now. Have a great flippin day.
You finally live in a world where The Oscars and The Razzies are the same thing, only one calls it like it is. Desperate attempts to keep record crushing movies out of the spotlight only backfires everytime. Also a Boba Fett is the best most predictable show so far, Jack Reacher is making strides for quality entertainment, and a man had sex with a horse… 21 times. Yeah that actually happened. Enjoy the show???
If someone said a TV show from a streaming platform featuring John Cena as an E-list superhero/villian would be a smash hit and possibly the best DC property to be released since Wonder Woman… Say what you will about DC movies, but their TV division is crushing it right now. Good for you DC, good for you. Tons of fun in store for the listeners… Hutch and Adam talk about literally nothing of value. Find some enjoyment out of the small things.
Get ready to relive your worst cringe with Adam and Hutch. Also set photos show Nick Fury is looking pretty homeless in Secret Invasion, a different version of Avengers in Doctor Strange 2, and Superman and Lois starts to get “CW-fied.” Also things get a little political, but no in the way you think. Have a great freakin day.
From Batgirl's director giving fans the ultimate chill-pill, to Doctor Strange 2 being the ultimate cameo movie since Space Jam 2, a lot of spoilerific and rumorlicious info coming hooooot of the presess. Does Boomer Adam think comicbook inspired NFTs are the future or hogwash. Also Joss Whedon should retain legal council… epsecially after his interview a year after his accusations arose. But hey, thanks for The Avengers movie. Have a great flippin day!
Did you know the actor who plays Boba Fett is 61 years old!? Good for him is all we're saying. Anyways got some haaawt takes on the future of the DC and Marvel cinematic stories, complete reviews of Boba Fett and Peacemaker, and some lovely reactions to Hutch finally watching The Eternals. Spoiler he did not like it. Have a fantastical day.
First epiode of 20DUCES and its all about catching up with the news cycle. She-Hulk rumors takes the lead with a possible upsetting realization that The Flash movie may not be what we want afterall. WB loves to play with our emotions and we keep answering their 2am texts with hopes of getting more. Enjoy the tons'o'fun with rumors, news, and straight up bitching. Have a wonderful day you lovely people.
The end of the 2021 is here and all that came with it, some of it being the best superhero movies and TV, while some of it was a straight garabage dumpster fire. Remember Thunderforce…or how about Jupiter Ascending. Thankfully Spiderman No Way Home and Loki were around. Enjoy the review of what sucked, didn't suck, and should suck but doesn't. Happy New Year from Hutch and Adam!
PART TWO: Was it a masterpiece OR nawww? Was it epic beyond belief OR mediocre? Innovative OR repetitive? Did our emotions blind us from the flaws OR was it a perfectly executed cinematic adventure? The answers are within……and yes it was freaking awesome.
PART ONE of a very long podcast with the review of the Hawkeye series and how much it did and didn't fullfill the void between Marvel Movies. Spoiler Hutch hated it and Adam didn't know he hated it. Be sure to check out episode 37 for a very meaty review of Spiderman: NO WAY HOME.
Adam freaks out about things being spoiled and Hutch loves to spoil them. Thor 4 poster real or fake? To recast or not to recast Black Panther? Hawkeye is shaking in his purple booties when the Kingpin shows up. Wonder Woman gets a video game teaser trailer, Sonic 2 gets a full trailer, and Letitia Wright will end up moving out of her trailer. All the latest news here and there, unless it's fake, then you didn't hear it here.
The better halves of the Talking Capes crew join in for a segment on their views and opinions of their husbands' passions/obsessions. Listeners will have to try to figure out what could possibly make the women deal with Adam and Hutch's insanity. Also big effing news. You'll see….
Hawkeye episode 1 and 2 premier on Disney+, and Adam and Hutch wonder “did we really need this series?” Only time will tell….but yes, yes we did need this. Still waiting on the Howard the Duck series but whatever. Also does kingpin make a comeback? Does Spider-Man No Way Home have even more rumors to discuss? Do we need a real life marvel broadway show?… That is a big time no, no we don't. Get your tickets for Spider-Man now or avoid the internet for a month.
Adam gives his childhood-like review of the beloved Ghostbusters movie revival while Paul Rudd can't do no wrong. Late to the game with the Spider-Man No Way Home trailer breakdown but important nonetheless. Also why does the CW shows suck so flipping bad… just why?
A recap of Disney+ Day where we learn Disney will be getting most of our money for the next three years. Everything from Spider-Man and Agatha Harkness tv shows in the works, to X-Men 97 cartoon reboot/continuation. She-Hulk and Moonknight make the biggest ripple in the pool with first footage being shown… only one thing left to ask… where's Howard the Duck?
Adam gives a very passionate review of he third MCU movie released this year, The Eternals. Does it suck? And if so does it Thor 2 suck. Hutch will never know because he didn't make it to the movies. Also some green goblin news from Spider-Man NWH. Oh yeah don't forget about the everlasting glorious feud between the Rock and Vin Diesel. Does life get any better than this?! Short answer yes, we all have more important things to do… but enjoy the show anyways
Every podcaster's nightmare is going through an entire episode and not having it record…twice. Adam and Hutch do their best to recapture the magic that was lost several times before. Jim Carrey possibly cast in the MCU, brilliant move or future backfire. Spider-Man Easter eggs from BTS photos are creating another Mephisto frenzy. Also Morbius trailer dropped and its pretty f*ck!ng cool. Enjoy what was recorded.
Hutch admits to Adam that Dune looks pretty cool. Adam fails to be cool about it. Buzz Lightyear gets his own movie, Woody files for divorce. Doctor Strange 2 does reshoots while Alec Baldwin just shoots. Enjoy the podcast and enjoy the lack of professionalism.
The long awaited DC Fandome event... is it all smoke and no show? How many teaser trailer featurettes can be put out at once, and does The Rock really believe the "hierarchy of the DC universe is about to change?" Today on the podcast all your questions will be ignored and nonsense will take place. Enjoy and get hyped for Adam to finally watch Dune.
