As Jordan’s royal dispute plays out between two top royals, many Jordanians are just trying to get by. And, the EU has announced a quarter billion euros to fund five new refugee camps on the Greek islands, including Lesbos, but some are worried the new sites will not improve conditions for migrants. Also, in Egypt this weekend, 22 mummies were on the move in a multimillion-dollar parade featuring 18 kings and four queens who were transported from the Egyptian Museum to their new resting place — the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.
Dr. Will Cole's tailored, integrative approach to functional medicine has helped thousands worldwide find the root causes of chronic disease and autoimmune issues. As Jordan continues to heal & gets ready to unleash her long-anticipated Celestial Diet to the world, it's been hugely expansive to have experts on the podcast sharing their insights into holistic food, health, and happiness. Dr. Will is a proponent of finding homeostasis in the body to reset our fast-and-furious relationship with food and educate ourselves on how we interact with eating and our bodies. This episode dissects the scientific benefits of INTUITIVE intermittent fasting in great detail, separating the facts from the fad and reframing any triggering aspects that could have scared you away from leaning into what is a very natural and inclusive lifestyle. The great news is that you can integrate so many food modalities into the fasting framework (including plant-based), enjoy your coffee with oat milk (like Jordan does!), and still reap the rewards. So many people suffering from chronic illness turn to Dr. Cole for guidance. His second book, “The Inflammation Spectrum,” was transformative for Jordan’s battle with inflammation, and he has so many tools listeners can start implementing right away. It’s incredible to hear that, even after all this success, multiple book deals, and media presence, he still packs his day with consultations and spends a year and a half with most patients on their journey to healing. As always, there’s a sprinkle of spirituality as Dr. Cole opens up about integrating mindfulness into his everyday life, his recent foray into astrology, business goals, and so much more!! Plus, they are both Libras. ;) Thanks to https://www.piquetea.com/products/elderberry-liposomal-vitamin-c?rfsn=4806956.314351&utm_source=affiliate&utm_medium=ig_campaign&utm_campaign=dailyimmune&utm_content=tbb (Pique tea )for sponsoring this episode. As Jordan finds himself pulled between intense love and intense fear in his new relationship, he and Adam wonder whether he's uniquely broken or if these are types of challenges everyone deals with in love. Plus the vulnerability of sex, the trauma of the psych ER, and the mating display of the male turkey.
Sports are traditionally big business, but much of that has come to a halt due to to the COVID-19 pandemic. In this episode of Catalyst, Jeremy Jordan, associate dean of Temple University’s School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management, details the ripple effect that the pandemic has had on the sport industry. He outlines how the pandemic has affected just about everyone in the realm of sports, but he also offers optimism for the future. Sports are a fabric of our culture and they’re not going anywhere. As Jordan explains, the industry has found several ways to innovate over the last year and as it continues on its road to recovery, now might be the perfect time for students to explore working in sports. The end of this college basketball season will mark the end of an era for one of Iowa’s all-time great basketball families. Sunday is Senior Day for the Iowa men’s basketball team, the final game at Carver-Hawkeye Arena (presumably) for Jordan Bohannon, Iowa’s all-time leader in 3-pointers and assists, and his classmates. It’s a game against the Wisconsin Badgers, a program Jordan’s brothers Jason and Zach played for. Another brother, Matt Bohannon, played for Northern Iowa. All four starred at Linn-Mar High School. Altogether, there has been at least one Bohannon brother on a Division I men’s basketball roster since 2006. As Jordan puts the finishing touches on that era with what he and the Hawkeyes hope is a long postseason run, Jason, Zach and Matt joined The Gazette’s Mike Hlas to reflect on Jordan’s Iowa career and their family’s legacy. » https://www.thegazette.com/subject/sports/hawkeyes/iowa-mens-basketball (Read Iowa men's basketball coverage from The Gazette) » https://twitter.com/gazetteoniowa (Follow Iowa Hawkeyes coverage on Twitter) » https://www.facebook.com/OnIowaCRG/ (Follow Iowa Hawkeyes coverage on Facebook)

Welcome to Season One Episode Fifteen of the HECHO Corpus Christi Podcast, the podcast featuring Corpus Christi’s Creators Makers Doers and Builders. Jordan Anderson is our guest on this episode. Jordan is the local president of Stewart Title Company and was raised in Corpus Christi from the time that she was nine years old. After graduating from Ray High School, Jordan moved to Dallas, San Antonio, back to Dallas, and then home to Corpus with her husband in 2005. She is a lawyer who practiced law with a local firm for a handful of years before starting both a family and a title company in 2010. Alongside her father in law, Jordan started Bay Area Title Services, which Jordan then grew into three offices and a booming business, a business doing so well that it was acquired by Stewart Title Company. Stewart Title Company is one of the oldest and biggest title insurance companies in the country. Not only has Jordan excelled in her leadership of Stewart Title Company, she has also volunteered a tremendous amount of time locally, serving on local boards including at the Art Museum, the regional economic development corporation, the united chamber of commerce, and serving at her children’s school. Jordan’s story should inspire other local entrepreneurs that, through excellent customer service and putting others first, they too can build successful, attractive businesses here in Corpus Christi. Jordan’s experience can be duplicated and should inspire others to repeat it in the industries they are in. As Jordan has shown, Corpus is a great place for business and a great place for family. She is an excellent resource for other entrepreneurs and business owners in Corpus. You can also learn more about Jordan in the October 2019 issue of The Bend Magazine where she was profiled as one of the HER 2019 nominees. To learn more about Stewart Title, visit stewarttitle.com. One of the central pillars of US counterterrorism policy is that capturing or killing a terrorist group's leader is effective. Yet this pillar rests more on a foundation of faith than facts. In Leadership Decapitation: Strategic Targeting of Terrorist Organizations (Stanford University Press, 2019), Jenna Jordan examines over a thousand instances of leadership targeting—involving groups such as Hamas, al Qaeda, Shining Path, and ISIS—to identify the successes, failures, and unintended consequences of this strategy. As Jordan demonstrates, group infrastructure, ideology, and popular support all play a role in determining how and why leadership decapitation succeeds or fails. Taking heed of these conditions is essential to an effective counterterrorism policy going forward. Beth Windisch is a national security practitioner. You can tweet her @bethwindisch. Jordan grew up going to church every Sunday with his family. He went to Bible studies and lived a typical Christian life. When he was junior high age, his family stopped attending church regularly. As Jordan grew older, he struggled balancing his church friendships along with his non-church friendships. He didn't want to live a double life. His faith becomes more serious and he discovers Calvinist theology. At first, he embraces it. Later, he begins to question more than just Calvinism. The difficult process of deconstructing his faith leads to agnosticism.

Today we are switching things up with a replay episode featuring yours-truly on the She Podcast with Jordan Lee Dooley! YES, the author of National Best Seller, Own Your Everyday (Overcome the Pressure to Prove and Show Up for What You Were Made to Do) Jordan and I are both Enneagram 3's and have lived the same story in a lot of ways, ‘just in different packaging' as she puts it! I know you're going to love how she leads this conversation as we get real and raw about my low points of sacrificing personal priorities for physical results, and prioritizing what I wanted to accomplish over how I wanted to FEEL for way too long. If you land on my page or a blurb from the podcast, you KNOW that I'm wildly passionate about teaching women HOW to find confidence within themselves, HOW to have a healthy lifestyle, and HOW to reach those physical goals from a place of true self love. But, what I love about switching chairs on episodes like these is that I get to take things ‘down to the studs' (so to speak!) and remind you guys that I've built and placed self confidence on MANY different kinds of foundation over the years— some cracked and some not-so-sturdy, but eventually... some solid and stable! You KNOW I love goals, but when we place confidence in the achievement/approval (of ourselves OR others!) ..THAT'S where things crumble. As Jordan and I chat about today, confidence is not something you win by crossing a finish line. You can't WIN confidence. But after some soul searching, time off, and basically an identity crisis, I found I was going about confidence and self love in allllll the wrong ways. We talk about feeling stuck, the limits we put on ourselves, why we attach labels, being multi passionate, feeding our brains with new choices and thoughts, and how you can sit with the ‘stuck' in an empowering way instead of a wallowing way! If you're feeling lost from a lack of direction or misplaced confidence, listen in for tangible tips and takeaways, because YOU are worthy of showing up for. We're so honored to welcome Jordan Younger - the radiant goddess behind the #realness-based wellness and lifestyle blog, The Balanced Blonde. In 2013, Jordan followed her intuitive whispers to ditch graduate school in pursuit of full-time blogging. She knew in her bones that writing and sharing her life with her community was her soul's purpose. She has never looked back, turning her blog into a brand, book, podcast and high-vibe community. Although she was incredibly successful, Jordan felt something wasn't right with her health. She constantly felt tired and lethargic. Hoping to heal body, mind and spirit, she embarked on a pilgrimage to Bali. After seeing countless healers, nothing helped; instead, one of her healing experiences shook up all the toxins in her body, causing her to be bed ridden for the duration of her trip. That's when Jordan knew something was seriously wrong. When she returned to Los Angeles, she was diagnosed with Lyme disease, mold poisoning, mass cell activation syndrome and parasites. Despite everything she's been through, Jordan views it as a blessing because it took her out of alignment from everything and everyone that was no longer serving her. She woke up to her soul. Rather than seeking healing outside of herself, this experience has taught Jordan that she is her own best healer. The answers she was desperately searching for were within all along. All she had to do was slow down and follow through on her little whispers of intuition. As Jordan beautifully said, “People don't get sick to get better, they get sick to get extraordinarily healthy in body, mind and spirit.” We talk about: The lessons Jordan's illness has taught her about body, mind and spirit The importance of slowing down and tuning in How to strengthen your intuitive powers and honor your downloads Moving through resistance with grace Essential practices we can all incorporate into our spiritual toolbox to help us let go, surrender and trust Resources: WEBSITE | INSTAGRAM Listen to the Soul on Fire Podcast HERE Use code ALCHEMIZED for 10% off Jordan's course: Waking Back Up To Your Own Soul Learn more about Ava's course https://www.avajohanna.com/unbreakable-confidence-course (Unbreakable Confidence by visiting the website.) Today’s guest is the beautiful Bree Melanson, who was on the show only about a month and a half ago in Episode 141! In this episode Bree channels the Pleiadians, light beings from a higher level of consciousness. On the show they impart wisdom about all kinds of topics, especially the ideas that our need to judge things comes from the illusion that we are separate from each other and that all we are here for is to be free. Jordan asks the Pleiadians how she can always stay connected, not get so distracted and trust herself more. As Jordan suffers from Lyme disease, she also asks, is there a meaning to getting sick? Are you #OnShrooms yet? Jordan has been loving Four Sigmatic more than ever (if you haven’t already, check out episode 85 with the company’s founder, Tero Isokauppila) because she’s cut out coffee entirely. If you’re trying to stay off of coffee but still want to feel alert and awake, there’s nothing better for you or better tasting than the caffeine-free Four Sigmatic Chaga Elixir (with some almond milk, a date, and cinnamon, it makes a great latte!). You can go to FourSigmatic.com/BLONDE to get 15% off of your order! Jordan has been using Manitoba Harvest hemp protein since the very beginning of her blogging days, so you could say she’s especially excited to be sharing their incredible products with you! Manitoba Harvest has been the leader in hemp for over 20 years, offering products like hemp hearts ($1 off for TBB listeners!), granola, and protein powder– Jordan loves the chocolate flavor! They also have amazing recipes, like their blueberry muffins! Jordan absolutely loves (https://ritual.com/tbb) is that they are non-GMO, vegan, sustainably sourced, gluten-free, allergen-free, and they have no colorants or synthetic fillers. As Jordan explained to us last month, we're still not seeing higher highs and higher lows in the gold price. His opinion was again confirmed. Every time gold approaches $1350 per ounce, there's a dramatic pullback. Until gold breaks this key resistance point, with conviction, not much is going to happen. Unfortunately, until further notice, precious metals investors are in a waiting game.

How crazy is it that Betsy and Kate have never done a Lucille Clifton book before? Nor a Brinton Turkle, but that's a little more understandable. Lucille Clifton was one of the most prolific Black picture book authors in the 70s. Spring has officially sprung and Betsy realized that today's book (which New York schoolchildren are read and given to read every single year around this time) would be the perfect way to celebrate not just the season but Clifton herself. But would Kate like it? Stay tuned, gentle listeners. In the meantime, those of you thinking yearningly of Spring will find much to love in this episode. Show Notes: - The best reading that you will encounter all day long is this June Jordan New York Times review. "Really okay book" she raves! https://www.nytimes.com/1973/11/04/archives/the-boy-who-didnt-believe-in-spring-by-jeannette-caines-illustrated.html - The books Jordan read and didn't like were Black Is Brown Is Tan by Arnold Adoff, Abby by Jeannette Caines, with pictures by Stephen Kellogg, Anthony and Sabrina by Ray Prather, Lordy, Aunt Hattie, by Ianthe Thomas, with pictures by Thomas di Grazia, Don't You Remember? by Lucille Clifton, illustrated by Evaline Ness, Good, Says Jerome, by Lucille Clifton, and finally All Us Come Cross the Water, by Lucille Clifton, with illustrations by John Steptoe. As Jordan said of that last book, "The father and son picture and the grandmother and grandson picture must compete, in my eyes, for Terrifying Zombie Page of the Year." - Macomber for Congress. Macomber may not have been a real candidate but I suspect that Turkle knew someone by that name and sneaked it in. But if you know anything about it, let us know. - I think it's fair to say that it's time for Henry Holt & Company to seriously re-illustrate and re-release the Everett Anderson books. Like Betsy mentions on the podcast, ONE OF THE PROBLEMS OF EVERETT ANDERSON is one of the few picture books we've ever seen about a kid dealing with a classmate that's being abused. As champion west coast swing dancers, and beloved around the world, Jordan Frisbee and Tatiana Mollman took some time out of their crazy travel schedule to share some thoughts on their career path. What I love about this episode is that both Jordan and Tatiana shed light on some of the lesser talked about aspects of the dance and their careers. For example: how does one take a hobby they love and turn it into a career without burning out? As Jordan said, “It’s really about how to keep falling in love with this dance over and over again, on our terms.” Jordan and Tatiana are true pioneers and innovators and have carved a legacy all their own due to their bold choices along the way. In this episode we get to dive into… • The role patience has played in J&T’s journey to success (3:30) • How J&T built their successes on several “failures” (5:00) • J&T tell about their transition from hobby dancers to professional dancers (6:50) • How J&T pioneered a new way to be a “dance professional” within their dance community and with the help of the YouTube generation (8:40) • What are the beliefs that J&T hold that help them keep their work fresh? (11:00) • How they planned to prevent burn out (12:20) • How J&T pioneered their own version of being a “Professional,” and how they’re currently pioneering their own version of being “retired professionals” (13:20) • The difference between being a competitor and being an artist (13:50) • J&T’s biggest pet peeve within the dance, and how they turned it into their greatest source of freedom now (15:48) • How Jordan and Tatiana have both dealt with their biggest challenges along the way (17:00) • Where J&T each go for inspiration - hint: it’s not within the West Coast Swing world (22:35) • Jordan and Tat’s top tips for gathering inspiration on the go (24:00) • Jordan and Tatiana’s #1 rule for creativity (25:00) • How Jordan and Tatiana have found a loophole to clone themselves (27:40) • The role that dance has played in both Tatiana and Jordan’s lives (32:40) • Jordan’s big secret ;) (33:45) • Tatiana’s career revelation (35:20)

The Risk of Going into Business for Yourself with Jordan Stupar Jordan Stupar is a Wisconsin native who put in the hard work. In time his hustle was able to get him on Grant Cardone’s reality show “Whatever It Takes”. Jordan would go on to win “Whatever It Takes” and become one of Grant Cardone’s top salesman. He worked his way to the top of the ladder and into the top 1% of income earners in America. After a few years of growing with Grant, Jordan turned and asked him what the next step for him would be if he wanted to continue to grow himself and his wealth. His advice was pretty simple. Jordan was making over 400k a year the only way he was going to make more money and grow beyond 400k a year was to start up his own business and have people work for him instead of him working for someone else. Jordan then decided to take a break so he went on vacation. When he came back he knew what he had to do. He needed to start his own business. Jordan talks about the risks and the commitment he took to follow this dream. As Jordan put it he had to break free from the “golden handcuffs”. Basically explaining how hard it was going from a great job that was on track this year to make him 400K to dropping it all to start up his own business from scratch. This is one of the best episodes to date! You’re not going to want to miss this one!
According to recent statistics, 55% of American’s don’t have dental insurance. And if your practice is only serving the 45% of patients that do, you’re leaving a ton of money (and profit) on the table. One way to serve those without insurance is to offer an in-house membership plan, but when done improperly, it can often be more of a headache than a plus. Fortunately, there’s a method to the madness when it comes to in-house membership plans, which is why I’m excited to have today’s guest Jordon Comstock on the show. Jordon is the founder of BoomCloud a membership plan software that helps you focus on what matters. If Jordon's name sounds familiar, you may have heard Jordon and his partner Ben have me on the Navigating Dental Insurance podcast in which discussed dental insurance. What I love about Jordon’s story is how he created a software based on his own needs, and in our conversation, we discuss in-house membership plans in depth. Here are a few things you'll discover in today's episode How Jordan got involved in the dental industry. The biggest problems most practices face who have in-house membership plans. My Ruby Story 315 Jordan Hudgens In this episode it’s another My Ruby Story and this week’s story is Jordan Hudgens’. Jordan is lead instructor of Bottega, a code school based in Lehi, Utah but also located in Phoenix and Salt Lake City. You’ll hear a bit about how Decamp.com came to be as well as what makes it stand out from the rest. You’ll also catch a couple tangents including one on artificial intelligence, augmented reality, an IoT. Don’t miss this one! How did you get intro programming? Jordan talks about how at the age of 12 his father had a business and with their budget couldn’t afford a web designer. His father offers Jordan to buy him a computer if he can build the website. He muddles his way through HTML documentation to create his first, and particularly ugly website 20 years ago. When he turned 16, he started working on better applications as well as learned PHP. How did you go from PHP to Ruby? As Jordan got further and further, he worked a lot in the energy sector, including Chevron and Oxy. This sort of work became dull and boring for him. He knew that there were other things out there that would be better. He started learning Ruby and fell in love with it. He mentions that working with Ruby helped him to love coming into work. Jordan now works almost exclusively in Ruby on Rails now. What have you done in Ruby? Jordan talks about switching all of his work over to Ruby, including doing work for Quip, the toothbrush service. He has also done work for EventBrite on one of their Micro Services. He soon after quit his work to start devcamp.com and launch his own learning platform. He says that he learns best by teaching so he started to create courses, usually for himself. He self-published on platforms like Udemy, but was also hired to create courses for FlatIron School in New York. His time was spent less in development and more in creating courses. What makes the DevCamp.com different? What was your inspiration? As a developer and having his own consulting shop, he recognized that camps weren’t teaching certain things like algorithms and even soft skills like project management and estimation. He also wanted to include other things like machine learning. Jordan felt strong on what he felt a true job centric curriculum should be focused on. Uniquely, Jordan has created a strong network to hiring partners. Instead of just building a course, they build outlines for a certain topic and then has the hiring partners and network to help create a profile for the best candidate for hire. Then creating the workshop around those requests. A major element that makes Jordan’s Devcamp.com stand out is that they are one of the only accredited bootcamps out there. Devcamp also uniquely has a 2 year pathway mapped out similar to a university computer science curriculum. Universities have partnered with devcamp.com because the curriculum lose a little bit faster than the traditional taught curriculum. Students are getting hired a bit faster because they are learning more relevant information. Jordan states that the student’s success is also Devcamp.com’s success. What are the skills people need to actually get a job? What makes a great developer is problem solving. Problem solving is the most important. If a person can dissect a challenge and come up with a plan, it’s very valuable. There is a problem solving course that presents a number of challenges where students learn to problem solve, not even using code. Taking a practical approach to give a sense a real world relevance and a mental framework for problem solving. Do you feel like your main contribution was teaching? Jordan mentions that he tries to contribute to open source and that he has made a few Ruby Gems but his time is limited. He discovered that even when he was making good money developing, he didn’t feel like he was making a huge difference in the world. He talks about watching students who came from working minimum wage jobs leave the camp they started working very hard and making 50 to 60 grand a year. The camp changed their lives. Charles talks about how he relates with the podcast. People have come to him with similar stories of having enough confidence to change their careers after listening to the podcasts. What are you working on now? Anything new? Jordan talks about how most of his time is developing new ‘Products’ for Devcamp. Each day he tries to add a few new features. One of the big plans is to start including machine learning into the curriculum. He talks about how when he adds features, he tries to use those features to teach and to create a relevant real world example. He finds that most students don’t like abstract thought patterns. Are you doing that with Ruby? Jordan lets us know that yes some of the machine learning stuff he is working on is with Ruby. Interestingly enough, he spent time at the Rails Conf and went to every machine learning talk there. Every single machine learning talk was on Python. He mentions that “H.H’s” (David Heinemeier Hansson) keynote talk was on using the right tools. It’s hard to compete with the large number of libraries that Python has on machine learning. Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, and Iot Charles suggests that artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and Iot are really where technology is heading. Jordan and Charles talk about how they all three interplay together to enhance our lives. adjunctSensors from an Iot device uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to make decisions that then tie into how we experience reality. Charles mentions that he often tries to convince people that their phones are already supplementing our lives in a way that makes it augmented reality. Machine learning seems to be the glue that holds it all together. Wall Street Unplugged - Your Best Source for Finance, Investing & Economics
Welcome back to another episode of Wall Street Unplugged! On today’s show I bring back Jordan Trimble - President and CEO of Skyharbour Resources (SYH.V). Skyharbour stands today as one of the most overlooked Uranium explorers. It's located in the heart of what's now known as the #1 mining jurisdiction is the world - Canada's Saskatchewan. Since Jordan was last on the show in November, we've seen a massive shift in the sector. Today, Jordan catches listeners up to date. Aside from Uranium prices finally coming off their lows... Skyharbour Resources alone has jumped nearly 150% in just 3 months. From .28 to .69, the stock still rests under $1 but as Jordan explains, this won’t be the case much longer… Skyharbour just released news on their most recent drilling program. And the results are game-changing. But as investors, lets not forget - junior miners don’t generate any revenue… cash concerns are critical, and at times, over-drilling can be detrimental... even in favorable economic conditions. As the company plans to aggressively drill in the near future, I ask Jordan the questions all investors need to know. Then, stepping back from the technicals, we take a closer look at the Uranium market as a whole. We already know demand is ramping up… but what about the other catalyst? As Jordan explains, there are multiple underestimated market components. These are factors that will only continue to drive Uranium prices higher. The fundamentals are all lining up. As for Skyharbour, if you took my recommendation a few months ago... keep enjoying the ride. As I expect Uranium prices to double in the next 6 to 12 months... well positioned companies like Jordan's should reap all the benefits. Also, don’t miss this week’s Educational Segment [45:36]. As the market continues to reach new all-time highs, fears are rising. Is the market too expensive? Are we overvalued? Absolutely not. Ignore it. Too many metrics are telling the wrong story.
This is a timely and informative conversation that will enhance your finances for 2017 under the Trump administration. But you need to act now.
