In part 2 of the Summer Series 2021, we hear about going on a semi-organised bike journey with Jordan Blanco. If you fancy giving bike touring a go, but you're not sure about carrying lots of kit, camping at night or planning your own route, then there are loads of companies that run organised or semi-organised trips and take the stress away, so all you need to do is focus on the cycling and your surroundings. Triathlete and coach Jordan Blanco did an organised ride from Land's End to John O'Groats in the summer of 2019. You'll hear: 05:05 Do you need to train to ride 100 miles a day, for ten days? 06:15 Why Jordan chose a semi-organised trip and what she needed to carry day-to-day on the bike 09:50 Should you stay in B and Bs and hotels or should you camp when you're cycle touring? 11:50 Why does Jordan enjoy cycling adventures, rather than just triathlon training 'there's nothing like being on your bike to see places and connect with places. It's getting to experience the people too. You're much less intimidating when you're on a bike" 14:50 The appeal of cycling a country end to end 18:20 Jordan says make sure your kit is as ready for the adventure as you are. 20:10 How to prevent saddle sores and sore bottoms when you're cycle touring 28:10 Why Jordan thinks she'll be more focussed on destination cycling more than trying to qualifying for Kona going forwards. 29:30 Why cycle touring can be a key part of your triathlon training "I've had my best races off the bike of some high volume cycling. If you can go somewhere else and see something new, go for it and integrate it into your training." bengreenfieldfitness.com/jordanrubin A few months ago, I was having dinner with my friend Jordan Rubin and - between bits of my friend Andy Hneale's MCT-infused-coconut milk-collagen-superfood ice cream - Jordan fascinated me with stories of the crazy animals and superfoods he now grows on his farm, all in a sustainable and regenerative way that could feed a lot of people with very low acreage requirement. So I just knew I had to get Jordan on the podcast to talk about his farm and his techniques. After growing up in a health-focused household, Rubin attended Florida State University. But at age 19, a life-threatening case of Crohn’s disease struck. After losing 80 pounds, Rubin was just 104 pounds and ravaged by inflammation. (His doctors didn’t expect him to live much longer.) With conventional medicine utterly failing him, he turned to nutritional-based healing and began specifically studying Biblical references to nutritional health and lifestyle. Making Bible-based diet adjustments, unlocking the power of fermented food and utilizing probiotic supplementation teeming with soil-based organisms, Rubin turned his health around and healed himself of Crohn’s disease in weeks. Fast forward years later to 1999, and he and his wife, Nicki, founded Garden of Life. The company quickly grew into an award-winning, retail powerhouse nutrition company. Jordan is now one of America’s most-recognized and respected natural health experts, and is the New York Times bestselling author of The Maker’s Diet, and 26 additional titles, including his latest work, Essential Fasting. An eco-entrepreneur, author and lecturer on health and nutrition, Jordan has shared a message of health and hope across the globe for the last 22 years. Jordan is the founder of Garden of Life, the leading whole food nutritional supplement company, and Beyond Organic, a vertically integrated organic food, beverage and dietary supplement manufacturer. Jordan has formulated hundreds of dietary supplements, functional foods and beverages including many #1 top sellers in the Healthy Foods channel. In 2016, along with co-founder Dr. Josh Axe, Jordan launched Ancient Nutrition, a company that brings the principals of Ancient Nutrition to the Modern World. Jordan is the founder of Heal the Planet Farm, a regenerative permaculture retreat located in Missouri’s Ozark mountains within the four-thousand-acre Beyond Organic Ranch. Jordan and his beautiful wife Nicki are the parents of six wonderful children. During this discussion, you'll discover: -Why Jordan prefers to eat yak and water buffalo over cow...9:30 -Key differences in water buffalo milk from cow milk...15:00 -Why duck eggs over chicken eggs...21:00 -How these types of foods can be available to the masses...26:10 -Fun facts on raising ducks...31:30 -Pros and cons of camel milk...36:45 -Superfoods Jordan is raising on his farm in Tennessee...39:00 -Mixed species combined with rotational grazing...45:55 -Jordan's personal nutrition philosophy...55:25 -How perspectives on food consumption change with various epochs of time...1:01:30 -Resources for following what Jordan is up to...1:03:10 -And much more! We know the importance of networking, but many of us either shy away from it or take the wrong approach. Today's guest, Jordan Harbinger, does things differently, and it shows. As a Top 50 iTunes podcast host for over 12 years, Jordan deconstructs the playbooks of the most successful people on the planet, sharing their strategies and providing practical insights. In this episode, we hear about Jordan’s podcasting journey, and how building his show from scratch for a second time showed him the true power of his network and connections. We discuss the difficulties that came with starting over, including self-doubt and being unable to compensate the team fairly, and their resolutions. Jordan also shares some of his invaluable relationship development insights. Rather than calling it networking, which he feels has been tainted by sleazy salesman, Jordan’s approach is more authentic, and it recognizes the importance of making small deposits every day. Instead of ignoring most people and only reaching out to those who are can immediately do something for you, Jordan knows that opportunities are just ‘over the horizon’, which means front of as many people’s minds as possible. We get some actionable steps as well as a teaser of his free networking course. Along with this, we also discuss current podcast numbers, why he is spending so much on his show at the moment and some of the obstacles with podcasting ads. Jordan Syatt is a strength and a nutrition wizard. While many may know him as Gary Vaynerchuk’s personal trainer, strength and nutrition coach, he’s been in the game for a long time. Jordan's rap sheet is impressive. He's a 5x world record setting powerlifter, has a Bachelor of Science in Health and Behavior Science—with a focus on Strength & Conditioning—and has helped countless clients online improve body composition, strength and athletic performance. Jordan has a way of communicating and storytelling that simplifies training and nutrition; which helps people take action because it’s not overwhelming. Today, he’s helps other fit pro’s build successful online businesses. In this episode of the podcast, Jordan and I talk about everything from how to help people achieve the best results, what matters and what doesn’t. We also dive deep into the truths and myths of what it takes to build a successful online business. Let's go. IN THIS EPISODE YOU’LL LEARN Jordan’s story of how he started in fitness and got the right mentors who helped guide and develop is careerHow a client named Fred made Jordan see that there’s so much more that clients are looking to achieve than just looking better naked. What interning and working at a physical therapy clinic taught Jordan and one important piece of advice for every coach. Why a degree in Health and Behavior Science made a lot more sense rather than Exercise Science, and what Jordan thinks about going to college. The one commandment that MUST be met for any clients long-term results. The difference between self-efficacy and self confidence, what behavior change teaches us and why we need it.What you need to measure to determine whether your clients will succeed, and our tips to help them get to this marker. Why there’s no way you’ll be a great coach online if you haven’t done enough offline coaching. The analogy of debits and credits in the self esteem bank account and giving clients the RIGHT thing for growth. The 3 strategies that will always work better than just “telling” people what to do.Why Jordan thinks eating a big ass salad every day might be a key in changing your nutrition habits. What Jordan would do if he was starting with online coaching from scratch right now (it’s NOT what most “guru’s” are saying!)Why you should outline exactly what your coaching program will do and what people will get, listen to Jordan take you through it step by step. The number one reason why you shouldn’t try to build a lower end, scalable monthly membership as the foundation of your online business. The BIG mistake coaches are making by thinking “no one has an attention span” and because of it not doing long form content. Why you shouldn’t spend all your energy on Instagram and what you should do instead.Jordan throws a massive curve ball and shares why you shouldn’t do what MOST online coaches are spending the most time doing. How to earn the right to get paid. What Jordan thinks will happen in the industry moving forward and what it takes to become successful. And much, much more. What’s the easiest way to make your life better in every way? Exercise regularly. You’ll have more energy and mental focus, you’ll sleep better and get sick less frequently, and, of course, let’s not forget the fat loss and muscle and strength gains, either. Most people know they should be more active, but don’t know exactly what to do and how to go about it and often choose to do nothing instead. Unfortunately, the professionals who are in the best position to offer a helping hand here—doctors—are often just as clueless as their patients when it comes to effective exercise and nutrition. Why is that? And what can be done about it? Those are two of the questions I explore with Dr. Jordan Feigenbaum in this episode. If you’re not familiar with Jordan, he’s an elite powerlifter, strength coach, medical doctor, and the founder of Barbell Medicine, so he has a unique perspective on the failings of medical school in preparing doctors to offer pragmatic exercise advice to patients. In our conversation, we discuss: - Why Jordan unironically refers to barbell training as “medicine” - Major “blindspots” in medical school curricula - The problem with the “health at any size” movement - Red flags for supplement companies and Instagram influencers - And more . . . 3:54 - Why did you choose Barbell Medicine as your company name and what does it mean? 7:43 - What are the healthiest things you can do? 13:36 - Why don’t doctors learn about exercise and nutrition in medical school? 43:01 - What do you mean by a dose dependent response on exercise? 54:00 - What are the top 5 red flags for supplement companies? 1:06:08 - How much does it cost to make a bottle of collagen protein? 1:10:30 - Where can people find you and your work? If you’ve been hanging around Sherpa land for a while, you know how passionate we are about building teams around ourselves so that we can live the lives we want and not be overwhelmed by our work, no matter how much we love it. Jordan Bunch is an Austin-based wedding filmmaker, and host of the Wedding Film Academy Podcast, who realized early on that by hiring a team, he could free up the time to be a better husband, father, neighbor, and person, focussing on the things that are really important to him in life. He didn’t stop there though. After hiring his first editor and seeing the impact on his business, he ran with it, and created two separate wedding film brands, both with unique approaches to the business. He shares today which roles in his team he feels are most important, how to build a team that you can trust and rely on, and getting over the fears a lot of us have around letting go of doing everything ourselves.   In this episode: Why Jordan created a second wedding brand not associated with his name How to get over the fear of our employees leaving us to start their own businesses after we’ve trained them How Jordan gets his name out there for both of his brands How to build a healthy team culture and support them in their growth Quotes: “Doing this team model really supplies me with an opportunity to live the life I want to live.” [5:02] “Positive reinforcement is just so much more effective than negative criticism. I’ve really been working on, as much as possibly to hardly ever say anything that is negative to my team… People live into the reality of what you paint them to be.” [12:21]

According to recent statistics, 55% of American’s don’t have dental insurance. And if your practice is only serving the 45% of patients that do, you’re leaving a ton of money (and profit) on the table. One way to serve those without insurance is to offer an in-house membership plan, but when done improperly, it can often be more of a headache than a plus. Fortunately, there’s a method to the madness when it comes to in-house membership plans, which is why I’m excited to have today’s guest Jordon Comstock on the show. Jordon is the founder of BoomCloud a membership plan software that helps you focus on what matters. If Jordon's name sounds familiar, you may have heard Jordon and his partner Ben have me on the Navigating Dental Insurance podcast in which discussed dental insurance. What I love about Jordon’s story is how he created a software based on his own needs, and in our conversation, we discuss in-house membership plans in depth. Here are a few things you'll discover in today's episode How Jordan got involved in the dental industry. The biggest problems most practices face who have in-house membership plans. Why Jordan’s love of technology and dentistry allowed him to create a product that dentists need. The many benefits of recurring revenue and why that should be a focus. What Jordon learned from developing and testing his software and how it applies to growing your own dental practice. And much more. This Episode Was Brought To You By... As a CPA for dentists, I get a lot of questions about which banks offer both the best rates and service for current and future practice owners and I virtually always recommend Bank of America. As such, I've teamed up to with Bank of America because I believe they are the best at what they do and want to help you get the best dental loan possible. If you're interested in learning more based on what I discussed on the show, simply text "BankLoan" to the number 33444, and I'll put you in touch with my direct contact at BOA. There's no catch, or obligation if you decide it's not for you after learning more. I'm also happy to answer any questions you might have. Full disclosure -- If you move forward with this goes to help me continue making the Start Your Dental Practice podcast the best podcast and resource for dental practice owners. Free Episode Bonus: A special thanks to Jordon for coming on the show. Whether you already have an in-house membership plan or are considering adding one to your practice, knowing what mistakes to avoid can help save you both time and money. As Jordan mentions, staying organized is one of the key factors in having a successful membership plan. Don’t be that person keeping everything in a google doc. For a bonus today, Jordan has offered his free membership plan ebook which walks you through the dos and dont's of membership plans. Trust me, just by doing one or two of his suggestions will save you a ton of headaches in the future. Also be sure to request a demo with Jordon and his team at BoomCloud if it’s something you might be interested in. Click here to access bonus. What would happen for you if you had greater clarity, confidence, and “Charm”? Would you get more business deals? Would you have greater opportunities to find that special someone? Would you be sought out, more successful, or even happier? Today we dive into the strategies Jordan teaches including identifying the 4 main personality archetypes he’s seen in his studies and how each of them impacts a person’s quality of living, their relationships, and their career. Intrigued? I think you’ll want to hear this one. Here’s a simple, actionable thing you can do right now to improve the way others perceive you. One of the intriguing things Jordan has discovered is that every person assesses every other person the moment they walk into the room. In nanoseconds their minds are evaluating, making judgments, and coming to conclusions about this person they haven’t even met yet. You might be disturbed by that fact, but you’d be better off learning how to use it to your advantage. On this episode Jordan Harbinger shares some of his best tips regarding what you can do the moment you enter a room to get people to assess you more positively, think better of you, and make conclusions that are to your advantage rather than to your disadvantage. It’s only one of the many lessons Jordan shares with us on this episode. I invite you to listen, learn, and apply what Jordan will show you.   Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll learn in this show: What would happen if you had more clarity on WHO you are? [1:00] The 4 personality archetypes for greater confidence, clarity, and direction; [2:23] Why Jordan began his work with “The Art of Charm.” [13:31] What Jordan considers to be his “superpower.” [20:10] The benefits Jordan received from growing up in the Midwest; [22:15] The future; [24:04] The biggest challenge most people face (when building charm); [25:57] How you can get in touch with Jordan; [33:51] The things Jordan is working on now; [35:27] What Jordan wants to be known for; [37:30] And more...   Get in touch with Jordan Harbinger Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/JordanHarbinger Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jordanharbinger/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jordanharbinger      ********************* This show brought to you by Done for You Solutions. Mind Body Musings Podcast: Feminine Embodiment | Surrender & Trust | Relationships | Limiting Beliefs | Authenticity

Episode 20: Jordan Younger is a 23-year-old health and lifestyle blogger living in Los Angeles. When she isn't writing about health on The Balanced Blonde, you'll find her on the yoga mat, in the kitchen, hiking the Malibu canyons and overseeing her clothing line, TBV Apparel. She is currently working on a book and an app that are also focused on the principles of leading a balanced, healthy lifestyle. I was really wanting to talk with Jordan after hearing about her on Good Morning America when she left her vegan lifestyle to pursue a diet that was more tailored to her needs. She received such harsh backlash from some of her followers, that I couldn't even imagine how tough that transition might have been. It's hard enough to make life-changing decisions on your own, but it's so much more tough when you're in the spotlight and people expect certain things from you. I'm really excited to release this episode because I think EVERYBODY will learn something that can be applied to their own life and experiences. Jordan is so incredibly open and honest, that I think she'll say many things that will stick with you. Her story is not one that you want to miss. Here's what we discuss in this episode: Why Jordan originally started veganism and how being labeled started to control mindset towards food, as well as her life The "aha" moments she experienced that really opened up her eyes to her anxieties about non-vegan foods, weight gain and animal ethics How the beliefs we create in our head overtime lead to invisible, counterfeit consequences Jordan's number one tip for those seeking recovery The importance of yoga for mind body awareness  Follow Jordan on all her great social media channels: http://www.thebalancedblonde.com/ Instagram Twitter Facebook Pinterest I also had the utmost pleasure to be on her blog for a segment she's been doing called the Recovery Series. You can read that interview I did with her here: http://www.theblondevegan.com/2014/09/19/recovery-series-5-madelyn-moon/ I really opened up about my own recovery for this interview, so I hope you enjoy learning a little more about my own food freedom process.
