Here we are at Episode 8 where we review Marvel Studios' Captain Marvel. Be warned there are **Spoilers**. Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Marvel put together a fun film that acts as a stand alone film for the most part but has ties to the larger MCU towards the end of the film. JohnnyMo and I go in depth into this movie that leads into Avengers: Endgame. We go over some of the things we liked and some of the things that we didn't. Really good cast with Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Jude Law, Lashana Lynch, Akira Akbar and Annette Bening. Overall we thought this to be enjoyable and you should go see it and judge for yourselves. Thanks for tuning in!
We all caught the film, but opinions vary...
Captain Marvel is an extraterrestrial Kree warrior who finds herself caught in the middle of an intergalactic battle between her people and the Skrulls. Living on Earth in 1995, she keeps having recurring memories of another life as U.S. Air Force pilot Carol Danvers. With help from Nick Fury, Captain Marvel tries to uncover the secrets of her past while harnessing her special superpowers to end the war with the evil Skrulls. This is our spoiler free movie review of Captain Marvel. Enjoy!
Join Chris as he analyzes & reviews Captain Marvel, the 2019 Marvel action/comedy movie, starring Brie Larson & directed by Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck. Carol Danvers becomes one of the universe's most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. This is her big introduction before she kicks Thanos' butt in Avengers: Endgame! Does the first (and long-overdue) woman-led MCU film satisfy as yet another origin story? How many times does Samuel L. Jackson say motherf***er? How many 90s references are there? What's the villain situation? Just how powerful is Carol Danvers? Most importantly, how awesome is Goose the cat? SPOILERS BEGIN at 12:04 Watch Captain Marvel on Amazon Support the show by giving us a review on iTunes Would you like to hear more? Visit our Home

An expression of our take on the movie "Captain Marvel". 8.5/10. It qas an all around great movie, the nostalgia of classic heros and call back characters, the development and tie in to the Marvel Universe as a whole was all well put together. We can talk about the subtle missteps, the breaks in immersion here and there but over all, it is definitely a movie with a message worth seeing. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/TDG-80-8-industries/support

The Beast has a few choice words to say about Neil Gaiman’s Writing Masterclass and Lactus has a few random words regarding the experience of watching Ant Man and The Wasp on screens of various sizes. Mr. Die has also seen half of Ready Player One but I hardly think that’s enough for him to have formed an opinion about it. THINK AGAIN! Come with us to Reviewniverse, with The Female Furies, Doomsday Clock, X-Force, Captain Clyde, Emotional Data: Test Tube Sugar Baby, The Quiet Place, the Captain Marvel Movie and you of course! To see you out there’s some Dadmin regarding Hey Duggee (good) and Bing (anxiety inducing). Gary bemoans the ridiculousness of iTunes (please rate and review us) and The Beast recommends the Chart Music podcast.
