The Neverland Files podcast is an absolute gem in the world of podcasts. From the moment I pressed play on my first episode, I was hooked. The hosts create a delightful and engaging atmosphere that keeps me coming back for more. I find myself chuckling and smiling throughout each episode, as their humor is infectious. What sets this podcast apart from others is the relatability and different perspectives that are brought to the table. It's refreshing to hear diverse views on various Disney movies, making each episode feel like a unique experience.
One of the best aspects of The Neverland Files podcast is the love and respect shown for all Disney movies. It's clear that the hosts genuinely appreciate the magic and wonder that these films bring to our lives. However, they also provide appropriate criticism when necessary, acknowledging aspects of certain movies that could have been better. This balanced approach creates a well-rounded discussion that leaves listeners with a deeper appreciation for these beloved films.
Additionally, I absolutely adore the awards section of each episode. It adds an extra layer of entertainment and hilarity to the discussions. The hosts come up with creative categories and give out imaginative awards related to the movie being reviewed. This segment never fails to put a smile on my face and adds an element of fun to every episode.
While it's challenging to find anything negative about The Neverland Files podcast, one potential downside could be that some episodes may not resonate with everyone. Since this podcast covers a wide range of Disney movies, there may be episodes where listeners haven't seen or don't particularly enjoy a particular film being discussed. However, this can easily be remedied by selecting episodes based on personal interests or simply giving unfamiliar movies a chance.
In conclusion, The Neverland Files podcast is an absolute must-listen for any Disney fan or anyone looking for entertaining discussions about beloved films. With its relatable content, diverse perspectives, and humorous awards section, it offers a unique and enjoyable experience. Whether you're listening alone or with your family, this podcast is sure to bring smiles, laughter, and new perspectives to your Disney movie-watching experiences. Trust me when I say that this podcast deserves a solid 10/10 rating, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone and everyone.

“Whatever it takes.” - Avengers: Endgame (2019) “I'll be there.” - Captain America: Civil War (2016) “Hulk, Smash!” - The Avengers (2012) “If I'm the only one than so be it. But I'm willing to bet I'm not.” - Captain America: Winter Soldier (2014) “It's about whether he's right.” - The Avengers: Age of Ultron Honorable Mention: “Avengers, assemble.” - Avengers: Endgame (2019) Guys. This has to be top three. But Corban was very stubbornly attached to his letter “speech.” *sigh* You tell us! Which should have been in the number two spot. Enjoy this episode? We have good news! Secretary of State - Peggy Carter from Captain America: The First Avenger She is firm and no-nonsense. Understands the importance of diplomacy to avoid war. But will stand up to any bully who comes her way. Secretary of the Treasury - Scrooge McDuck from Duck Tales We aren't sure which version of Scrooge we are dealing with. But he is the economic mind of Disney characters. And if its stingy Scrooge, he could help with our national debt…? Secretary of Defense - Mufasa from The Lion King Corban's trump card. When in doubt. Mufasa can do it. We trust his judgment. Attorney General - George from The Aristocats He was one of the only Disney lawyers we could think of who had the experience with the justice system and lawyerese to pull this off…maybe? Secretary of the Interior - Pocahontas from Pocahontas She knows the lands intimately and respects their need for care. However, she also has an eye for innovation and curiosity. She is open to new approaches while honoring the land. Secretary of Agriculture - Te Fiti Basically, we have recruited Mother Nature to help cultivate and encourage agricultural growth. We are hoping she can bring in some new methods and help our agriculture be as productive and life-giving as possible Secretary of Commerce - Bob Iger Bit of a cheat here. But hey, if the Disney Company brought him back for another stint as CEO then there must be something to his leadership that people like and respect. And we like and need more of that. Psst, just so you know: For this episode, our definition of “old school Disney” is any theater-released Disney or Pixar movie released before 2000. “New school Disney” is any theater released Disney or Pixar movie released after 2000. Best Disney Songs - 50/50 Split We are split on our votes. The 90s is hard to compete with when it comes to songs. But some of the new Disney stuff is too good to imagine life without. Best Animation Style - Old School Disney Hand-drawn stuff like this can't be beaten (how did they do this??). And we prefer the 2-D animated style overall. Best Stories/Plots - New School Disney It is fun to see them push the tradition and start to subvert the tropes of villains, happily ever afters, and true love—case in point: Prince Hans. Most Funny - Old School Disney It's a matter of taste and it's tough to decide. Old school goes for subtlety and charm. New school is much more on the nose and obvious in its humor. Most Iconic Moments - Old School Disney It's the 90s coming in strong again. How can you compete with these and many more magical moments? Overall Best Iconic Moment - 50/50 Split For one of us, it's all about Lion King. The other loves the iconic moments in Tangled. We will say, New Disney may not have the quantity of iconic moments, but when they have them they are amazing! Enjoy this episode? We have good news! Snow White (In Post Production) Next March we will finally see the live-action remake of Disney's first animated feature-length film. Nostalgia - 2/5 Neither of us can remember the first time we watched this movie… we remember the advertising for the film more than the actual film. Sooooo….that's our bad, ya'll! Characters - 3.5/5 Every character was well-written and important. No one was extra baggage that felt like we could cut out. There was room for more background in some areas. But the interconnectedness of the character's needs and weaknesses was done super well! Story - 2/5 The beginning did not grab us. It misleads the viewer about the tone of the rest of the movie. And it's only an hour and twenty-five minutes! That leaves so much time to do more background on the characters (ehm….Nani) that is more obvious than just random stuff in the background that we are supposed to use to infer a character's past and point of view. Visual Experience - 3/5 A unique animation style that is very stylized with watercolor backgrounds. Not our taste necessarily. But still points to the effort to make this movie stand out and look different than other animated movies. Music - 3/5 The incorporation of Elvis sounds good. But we were a little lost in the “why” of the storytelling behind using Elvis as an actual focus in the story. The Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride song is good! And at the beginning of the movie, after so much time in space, seeing the ocean and hearing the native Hawaiian music immediately set the tone for us. Disney Magic Moment - 3/5 The second half of this movie has two moments that hit emotionally, that we would consider a Disney Magic Moment because it gives this movie depth and soul (at least for one of us :) ). Prince Eric as Harry Potter He has dark hair and…would look good in glasses? And he has Lily's eyes (at least the movie Lily's…) Alfredo Linguini as Ron Weasley This comes down to how you view Ron. And we see him as the trying too hard bumbling sidekick (sorry Ron…) Tiana as Hermione Granger Driven and needs a time-turner to be able to meet all the goals and do all the things. She has the future Minister of Magic written all over her. Merida as Ginny Weasley She is not afraid to play with the boys and become the best in her chosen sport. And she has those rambunctious brothers to keep in line (and laugh with). Russell as Neville Longbottom He is the sweet, worried friend who wants help, even if it means standing up for his friends. And to his friends! The wilderness (and herbology) must be explored! Rapunzel as Luna Lovegood Dreamy-eyed and barefoot, no other Disney character captures the whimsy and individualism of Luna Lovegood. She doesn't quite fit in, and she loves it that way (and Flynn loves her that way too!) Prince Hans as Draco Malfoy Draco's family situation has created a boy who is either the awful bully or the whimpering victim. And we assume Hans' big brothers had a lot to do with how two-faced Hans ends up in Frozen. King Fergus as Rubeus Hagrid Super intimidating on the outside, a total teddy bear on the inside. But if you push around his loved ones he will flip a switch and come after you! Queen Elinor as Minerva McGonagall Scottish accent and an affinity for “wearing” fur coats. What else doesn't this woman have in common with Professor McGonagall? Merlin as Albus Dumbledore Long white beard, a pointy hat, and helps his protege grow into the leader who will help his people out of the fear of the “dark” ages. The internet is full of Disney vacation hacks and items to make your time in the Disney Parks easier and more comfortable, especially with kiddos. But are these items making your vacation easier or just loading you down with more stuff? Here are the items from this Buzzfeed list we both agree could make your next Disney vacation not only easier but more comfortable! A hat is a necessity. It keeps the sun off your face and when your hair is hot and sweaty and no longer curled to photo perfection (ladies, you know what I mean) it can still help you look put together and cute. If you don't want to spend the extra money on a hat in the park, there are so many great choices on Etsy that will keep the sun off and be a subtle Disney nod to any outfit. Blame COVID for society's love for hand sanitizer, but we hate the feeling of sticky hands from all the yummy goodies we love to eat. Plus, in the summer vacation heat, it feels good to wash a little bit of the salty sweat off and feel a bit refreshed. Okay, we can't confirm that this stroller is as amazing as it looks. But we love a smaller stroller to pop on the back of the larger stroller so that if two or three of your littles get tired, there is an extra stroller to whip out when needed. The more compact, the better! We have strong-willed, toddler runners in our family. We have used wrist leashes to help the kiddos who want to run but are too tiny to see in a crowd stay safe and content. But we love the idea of a cute backpack to store some snacks and toys in that has a leash hooked in as well. And this one has little dino spikes so it's also like a baby cosplay! When it's hot and you are sweating a ton as you run from ride to ride, a shot of electrolytes is amazing to give your body a little boost. We haven't had this brand specifically, but we swear by electrolytes to help keep dehydration at bay. And it can help the Disney Park water taste better too

Most Important Characters - Maria, Mother Abbess, and Captain Von Trapp It is the story of Maria and Captain Von Trapp, but ultimately the Mother Abbess is the one who keeps these two headed towards each other. And the nuns all end up saving the family in the end! Least Important Character - Rolf When we looked at characters the story could have done without, it was hard to choose one! The Sound of Music is so well written there aren't any characters that aren't important for one way or another. But. When we looked at the role of Rolf, if his relationship with Lisel just didn't exist, the movie would lose charm (No “16 Going on 17??”) but we feel like all the characters would still end up where they did in the end. What if Maria had become a nun after she runs away from the Von Trapp family and the Captain's affections? Would Maria have a better life or Captain Von Trapp? Maria as a nun. It just doesn't fit her character! But we think Captain Von Trapp at least would see and understand his children, thanks to Maria's example. So he would have them to focus on moving forward without her. But Maria would have just been sad and lonely

Welcome Potterheads to our first Disney Harry Potter mash-up! From Disney Princesses to Villains, we work through a list of characters from Buzzfeed to see if our Hogwarts House sorting matches those of the internet. Vote below as you listen along! In which Hogwarts House do you think these Disney characters belong? Ariel is a Slytherin Look, not all Slytherins are bad despite Ron teaching that to Harry in book one. Ariel is ambitious and driven. She knows what she wants, even if it is impossible. And figures out a way to get legs and meet Eric. Mermaids and humans? Not a thing…until Ariel makes it happen! Hades is a Slytherin Being one of the Big Three on Olympus is just not quite enough for Hades. He may not always have the best help but his ambition and never-say-die (ha) drive is very Slytherin-esq. Maleficent is a Gryffindor Maleficent believes she has been wronged. And to right that wrong she is going to do what she feels is right. AKA curse the kingdom's baby princess…? Hey, we aren't saying we agree. But she is doing what she believes is right. So it's Gryffindor for us. Flynn Rider is a Ravenclaw/Slytherin For us, it depends on where we are in Flynn's story. At the end, one of us sees Flynn as a knowledgeable and witty character who is a realist looking at the facts. The other one sees him throughout the movies as resourceful and driven to get the dream he wants the most. You decide. Mulan is a Hufflepuff Everything she does is for others. She puts her dad's safety ahead of her own and leads with her heart wherever she goes. She may not be what we all think a Hufflepuff is (patient and nice) but her heart is full of kindness for others, through and through. Hans is a Slytherin I mean, he pretends to love Anna and then tries to kill her to get his own kingdom so he can be King. Ambition and drive? Check and check. Belle is a Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff Belle does sacrifice herself for her dad, just like Mulan. And gives Beast a fair chance, despite his beastliness. But she is also fiercely intelligent and loves to learn. You tell us… Governor Ratcliffe is a Slytherin “Mine, Mine, Mine” is the most Slytherin-ish villain song in all of Disney. Enough said. Tiana is a Slytherin This girl knows what she wants and is willing to work two jobs and save every penny to get it. Driven and ambitious are her middle name. “Almost There” is the Disney Princess song for Slytherins! We will send out the second half of polls next month, so keep your Sorting Hats ready to vote!
