Os povos indígenas, ribeirinhos, quilombolas e movimentos sociais do mundo inteiro marcaram a história das Conferência do Clima da ONU nesta quarta-feira (12). Em um protesto inédito em forma de barqueata, com 200 embarcações pelo rio Guamá, eles denunciaram uma COP que não reflete as demandas das populações mais vulneráveis, na linha de frente das mudanças climáticas.  Lúcia Müzell, enviada especial da RFI a Belém  A manifestação no rio deu a largada para a Cúpula dos Povos: durante cinco dias, os cerca de 5 mil participantes trarão para o debate as próprias soluções para o enfrentamento do aquecimento global, como a agroecologia e a agricultura familiar. Muitos questionam um dos focos das negociações diplomáticas da conferência: a transição energética para uma economia de baixo carbono. Elaine da Silva Barros, do Movimento pela Soberania Popular na Mineração (MAM), veio do Maranhão e teme que a busca por minérios importantes para a eletrificação, como alumínio, cobalto e lítio, aumente ainda mais a pressão sobre os territórios amazônicos. "A transição energética não é para nós. O  Brasil já se supre e tem uma matriz energética de renováveis”, explica. "Não faz sentido o Brasil ter que mudar a sua matriz energética para que os países europeus e os Estados Unidos possam sair dos combustíveis fósseis. Não faz sentido aumentar a mineração nos nossos territórios e aumentar a expulsão dos nossos povos deles”, argumenta. A indígena Jéssica Cumaruara também era uma das passageiras da Caravana da Resposta, um barco que navegou mais de 3 mil quilômetros até chegar à capital paraense para o protesto. A embarcação percorreu o chamado corredor da soja, de Sinop, no Mato Grosso, até Belém do Pará, trazendo cerca de 40 movimentos sociais ou povos originários.   "Para quem é a COP? Eles falam muito em transição energética, energia limpa, mas é do jeito deles”, aponta. "Não nos consultam, não se reúnem com a gente para falar sobre ela. Queremos que sejam verdadeiros, que falem sobre os benefícios, mas também sobre os impactos." Impactos socioambientais de hidrelétricas O Movimento dos Atingidos por Barragens estava lá para abordar os impactos ambientais e sociais sentidos há bastante tempo pela produção de eletricidade no país, por hidrelétricas. "Infelizmente o que tratam de energia limpa, para nós, não tem nada de limpo. A transição energética só é possível se houver uma mudança radical das estruturas e do modelo energético no Brasil, que explora, invade territórios, alaga territórios e viola direitos humanos”, afirma Fred Vieira, da coordenação da entidade no Pará. Para Jéssica, a maior preocupação é proteger o rio Tapajós do projeto de hidrovia do governo federal. A obra prevê dragagem para facilitar a navegação para o escoamento da produção de grãos e minérios entre Itaituba e Santarém, no Pará. "O presidente Lula privatizou o nosso rio, quer transformar o nosso rio em rota para o agronegócio, e isso nós não vamos aceitar. Queremos o rio livre”, disse. “Ele já está sendo contaminado pelo garimpo ilegal, pelo mercúrio. Quando destroem e contaminam o nosso rio, também estão nos matando.” O pescador Benedito de Souza Ribeiro, 62 anos, dependeu a vida inteira de outro rio, o Amazonas. Ele vê o governo federal “refém” de um Congresso dominado pelo agronegócio e as mineradoras. "As grandes indústrias estão se instalando dos nossos territórios e expulsando os nossos pescadores da área, os ribeirinhos, que sobrevivem da pesca. E são esses empreendimentos, as barragens, as mineradoras, que estão causando o aquecimento global”, acusa. Participação indígena recorde, mas ainda insuficiente Para os povos indígenas, o enfrentamento do aquecimento global passa por mais demarcação de terras. A gente precisa que os governos, principalmente de outros países, ouçam isso da gente. A demarcação é o mais importante porque ali a gente vai viver em paz, conforme a nossa cultura”, salienta Bepmoroi Metuktire, neto do cacique Raoni e membro da juventude caiapó. "Nós somos os guardiões da floresta. Ela é tudo para nós”, frisa. Nunca uma COP teve tantos indígenas registrados – são 300 apenas na delegação brasileira. Mas, para eles, não é suficiente: eles reivindicam um assento especial nas negociações oficiais. Também exigem ser consultados sobre qualquer projeto que envolta as suas terras, aponta Raquel Mura, do povo indígena Mura Autazes, do Amazonas. "Estar aqui é mostrar a Amazônia para o mundo e dizer assim: ouve a nossa voz, não destrói a floresta porque a gente está aqui. Existem pessoas aqui”, ressalta. "A nossa proposta é que o nosso presidente olhe mais para os povos indígenas, porque por mais que ele tenha ajudado a diminuir o desmatamento, ele simplesmente liberou a exploração de petróleo na foz do Amazonas. Isso é muito indignante porque vai afetar a Amazônia toda – e não só a Amazônia, o mundo", complementa. A Cúpula dos Povos vai reunir em Belém, até domingo, cerca de 1,2 mil entidades de 62 países. Na COP30, o principal espaço para a sociedade civil é a zona verde. Na área azul, reservada às negociações oficiais, integrantes de organizações podem ser cadastrados como observadores do processo.
