In the fast-paced field of life sciences, digital pathology is poised to be a game-changer. In this episode, we sit down with Grace Lee and Douglas Clark of Agilent Technologies to explore the opportunities and challenges associated with companion diagnostics (CDx). Clark kicks off, shedding light on the current levels of digital pathology adoption in both clinical trials and practice. Thereafter, Lee outlines several opportunities and the associated regulatory hurdles, looking at areas such as the utilization of whole slide images for companion diagnostic interpretation. Pointing to the amplified scrutiny on Laboratory Developed Tests (LDTs) and the emerging CDx guidelines in the EU and China, she emphasizes the importance of aligning with agencies: “Oftentimes we are trying to manage changes in the CDx world by providing regulators with evidence that assay performance has not changed.” Clark echoes these sentiments, first highlighting the challenges posed by image variability and the resultant disparities in CDx interpretation and scoring, and then offering an optimistic outlook on the transformative potential of AI in the realm of multiplexing assays. For a deep dive into the opportunities presented by digital pathology and CDx development, tune into the full episode.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Sunset Strip Killers. Douglas Clark i Carol Bundy. W rejonie Hollywood pojawił się seryjny morderca młodych kobiet. Okazało się, że to para zabójców. Mordercy z Wrzosowisk. Ian Brady i Myra Hindley. Fascynacja bogobojnej kobiety niegrzecznym chłopcem prowadzi do ogromnych tragedii.
Douglas Clark had a normal childhood and lived a pretty much normal existence. Until he met someone with the same sick fantasies.
Carol demanded to see what Doug had been doing with his other women. Recently their relationship had changed - all Doug cared about was cheating with other women and threesomes. He warned her. This would scare her away. She couldn't handle the truth. Doug was smug. He walked over and he plopped down into the sink… A severed head. Carol didn't scream, she didn't run, instead, she sat down and started applying makeup on the severed head. Doug was her man and she would stick by him. Episode 47: The Sunset Strip Slayers Tori is telling us about the Sunset Strip Slayers on today's episode. They've also been referred to as the Sunset Strip Murderers, also known as Carol Bundy and Douglas Clark. The problem with this case isn't the lack of evidence. There are too many questions and not enough answers even decades later. Come along for this messed up ride as we do a deep dive into these horrific crimes. K. Love you, bye. In two months, serial killers Douglas Clark and Carol M Bundy murdered at least 6 women. The pair would target young, underage prostitutes on the Sunset Strip in the 80s. While Doug received the full brunt of the law, Carol seems to have gotten off a bit easier. However, was she more involved than we were lead to believe? The crimes eerily parallel that of another notorious serial killer that Carol Bundy may have been obsessed with. Douglas Clark and Carol Bundy were lovers who were accused, and subsequently, convicted of a series of murders in Los Angeles. This case is not as straight forward as many others have been. The pair came to police attention when Bundy called to confess to the decapitation murder of her lover John Murray. She had killed him after he had confronted her about what she had been doing with Clark. Murray had found out that Bundy and Clark were the killers known as the Sunset Strip Killers who had brutally raped and murdered at least six women in Los Angeles between June and August 1980In our news section; - A serial killer is on the loose in Port Harcourt and the police blames it all on prostitution - A British woman says she is willing to risk her life and wants to marry a convicted serial killer. - Official FBI statistics claims serial killers now account for fewer than 1 percent of killings... but there's a twist! In episode 8 Rich and Hillary discuss part 2 of the Sunset Strip Slayers, Douglas Clark and Carol Bundy.
In the summer of 1980, Carol Bundy helped Douglas Clark sexually assault a young girl and murder over a half-dozen women. Her extreme desire to please Clark evolved into a murderous partnership, and finally a killer in her own right.
After years of abuse as a child at the hands of her parents, Carol Bundy suffered through the same fate as an adult at the hands of various boyfriends. When she met Douglas Clark, she thought things would be different. But he had dark sexual fantasies and she would do anything to stay with him. Even kill.
Ben stops by to talk about murders around the world. He covers two mass murders from Japan Takahiro Shirashi. A Canadian Bruce McArthur hiding bodies in peoples yards. Then two Russian cannibals Tamara Samsonova and Dimitry Baksheev. Then Ozzie covers two American murders. The ice man killer Richard Kuklinski and the sunset strip killers Carol Bundy and Douglas Clark. We also talk about school shooting and suicide. It’s a heavy one but please listen and subscribe.

TEALS has been around since 2009, matching volunteer CS professionals with K-12 teachers in schools and developing CS curricula. John Jannone and Brett Wortzman from TEALS explained how they already use games to teach computer science to K-12 students. They discuss how to use game design, content creation, and play to achieve student learning objectives. Douglas Clark’s new Gunboat Justice: British and American Law Courts in China and Japan (1842-1943) (Earnshaw Books Limited, 2016) is a three-volume study of extraterritoriality and its transnational histories as it shaped modern China and Japan. Clark is both historian and master storyteller in this work, crafting a study moves readers chronologically through a story of extraterritoriality from the middle of the nineteenth century through the middle of the twentieth, while introducing some amazing figures and characters along the way. (Keep a lookout, readers, for the “man’s man” who meets a ghost and asks it if it’s drunk.) Clark pays special attention to analyzing the very different results of the impact of extraterritoriality in Japan and China. Enjoy! Weird Halloween with Serial Killers on Cell Block, Scary Douglas Clark Encounter & More:
What Makes Serial Killer Like William Bonin, Kenneth Bianchi or Douglas Clark Says Vonda Pelto, Ph.D.:
Vonda Pelto Deals with Sunset Strip Killer Douglas Clark, Who Really Scared the Wits Out of Her: One of the most disgusting serial killers and notorious sexual predators in recent history was Douglas Clark, better known as the Sunset Strip Killer, in league with his girl friend Carol Bundy. He and his girl friend killed a bunch of woman to their doom and a couple were decapitated and their heads were kept in a freezer. They were brought out, done up with makeup and used for the sexual pleasure of Clark with the help of Bundy, a truly disgusting act of sexual perversion. Vonda was particularly scared of him and he made several threatening gestures to her that really gave her the creeps. He was a handsome man and reminded her of the preachers she had grown up with in her Southern Baptists Church because he was so charming. She commented that never in a million years would she pick him out as a serial killer, rapist, sexual predator or sociopath. Vonda Pelto on Wonderland Murders, Trick or Treating with Serial Killers, Trash Bag Murder Jokes: During the Jiggy Jaguar Radio Show, hosted by James Lowe, the subject is serial killers and criminals as Vonda Pelto, Ph.D., author of Without Remorse: The Story of the Woman Who Kept Los Angeles' Serial Killers Alive, talks about her dealings with legendary porn star John Holmes and his involvement in the famous Wonderland Murders committed by Eddie Nash. Holmes, who was held in Los Angeles Men's Central Jail for 110 days, initially refused testify because Nash had threatened his life and those of everyone in his address book, which Eddie Nash had stolen. He eventually gave up some information and was released and Nash confessed to killing four people by beating them to death and died in prison. Holmes moved to Europe, because he was banned from doing porn in the United States because he had contracted aids, to continue his career and passed away from aids in 1996. Vonda Pelto, a clinical psychologist who spent over three years working with serial killers and other high profile criminals to keep them from killing themselves, then talks about how she organized a Halloween Party in the high security unit and how they walked down the ward and gave candy to various serial killers and other inmates. Douglas Clark, the notorious Sunset Strip Slayer, who decapitated his female victims, performed a rather scary representation of that for Vonda when she came by his cell. Then she talks about the jokes they had spawned in the Central Jail about the Trash Bag murderers doing endorsements for Hefty Bags because they didn't leak. Gallows humor was the order of the day because it was a really stressful environment to work.
