The Slayers spend an awfully long time trying to work out what to do next.

Und wieder einmal schlüpfen wir in die Rolle des DOOM-Slayers. Alles Unheilige und Böse muss sich unserem Waffenarsenal in den Weg stellen. Und ja, ihr habt es richtig erraten, auch diesmal hat es nicht die geringste Chance gegen die Unmenge an Feuerkraft und unser neues Kettensägenschild. Was man sich bei dem Namen DOOM erwartet, bekommt man auch. Die Story ist nett, aber auch nicht mehr. Und leider wird angenommen, dass sich jeder in der Welt auskennt. Neulinge werden sich aber oft die Fragen stellen was hier jetzt überhaupt gemeint wurde. Aber gerade für Neueinsteiger bietet das Spiel mit seinen vielen Schwierigkeitsgraden die Möglichkeit für einen „sanften“ Einstieg. Routiniers werden sich auf Anhieb fühlen wie im eigenen Wohnzimmer. DOOM ist wieder einmal DOOM und das ist auch gut so. Ob es da dann auch Level benötigt, wo man in einem riesigen Mech unterwegs ist, oder auf einem Drachen mit Flügeln aus Laserstrahlen reitet ist eine berechtigte Frage. Ich hätte sie nicht benötigt. Aber immerhin gibt es 22 Level, welche für eine tolle Spielzeit sorgen. Der Widerspielwert ist jetzt nicht so besonders hoch, es sei denn man komplettiert gerne und sammelt gerne alles, was es in der Welt zu finden gibt. DOOM: The Dark Ages bietet Fans des Slayers und Neulingen jede Menge Action in einer guten Qualität. Wer auf Nonstop Action für Erwachsene steht kommt nicht um den Slayer rum.

On the morning of March 20, 1927, nine-year-old Lorraine Snyder was awakened by the sound of gentle knocking at her bedroom door and when she opened it, she found her mother bound and gagged on the floor. According to the girl's mother, Ruth Snyder, someone had broken into the house in the middle of the night, knocked her unconscious and tied her up, then murdered her husband, Albert. Ruth claimed the motive was robbery, but investigators were immediately suspicious of her. Not only was there no sign of forced entry, but Albert's murder had been particularly brutal and appeared personal. A day later, when police found Ruth's supposedly stolen items hidden in the house, her story started to fall apart.The murder of Albert Snyder had everything depression-era Americans were looking for in a media distraction—sex, extramarital affairs, fraud, and murder.
