This week we have another in our "Fergs Thoughts" series. Seeing as it's the start of a New Year, Mark chats about what we can achieve in the future. "How can we set ourselves up for success in 2023?" Mark asks "We always think back to that 30 years, depending on where you are in your farming cycle. That '30' being the number of times you get to select a bull or ram tea to go out." "So roughly we get those 30 opportunities to keep the females we keep and the males we either buy or keep as well. " says Mark. "The point of that is that, that is not many, so we have to make the best decision we can." He says, highlighting the importance of every breeding purchase and decision. Mark asks "What is the story you're telling yourself? What was the story you told yourself in 2022? We have this story in our head about what is possible, but it's hard to not get caught up in the hardships of farming. Be it the weather, legislation or any other problems farmers can face. ""The reality is, we don't have a lot of control over that. Our opportunities lie within dealing with the cards we're dealt. Our only control is how we react to that. How we get on and farm, how we breed animals.." "I think 2023 is a great opportunity to try something new. Whether that's something as simple as scanning for twins..." Mark reminds us it's okay to try and fail, rather than not try at all. Regulars at a popular Wellington climbing wall say it's only a matter of time before someone is seriously hurt. Climbers raised concerns that the facility at Fergs is unsafe, and WorkSafe has since inspected and told the company to do better. But climbers say the small changes Fergs made are not good enough. Lauren Crimp reports.
We are back this week for a deep episode. We open thanking everyone for supporting Shop in Style to raise money for the Jennica Kimberly Scholarship. Razi is really feeling Quantum Leap reboot. Buff goes off on Fox News' Tucker Carlson for his fearmongering and going after Tiffany Cross. Ferg gives us his review of Till. We tackle religion in Fergs question. He asks the brothers do we feel we and religious enough and is it helpful to us. Razi just wants to know when is it appropriate to put up Christmas decorations. Buff rounds out the questions reviewing "The Morning Show" on AppleTV and asks how should we react to "Me Too" allegations. We close out apologizing to white people for laughing at them for mindlessly following Trump, but then we have Ye-ites. We also ask our followers to stop sharing black bodies as we think about the death of Takeoff of the Migos. The brothers send prayers to the military that have deployed to Ukraine as the DOD confirms we have boot on ground. And don't forget to VOTE!!!!!! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/threebrothersnosense/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/threebrothersnosense/support
The brothers are joined by Dr. Theresa Givens of Da Bruhs Bookshelf and Eboni Taylor of the 5th Ward Houston Taylors for a 2 part special. We reverse perspectives in this wild episode. The ladies have to argue from the male perspective and the brothers try to argue from the female perspective. It's harder than you would think. We open welcoming the ladies and discussing Ariel being black now and the fallout from that. Razi gets into the spirit of the show as he jumps to the defense of PNB Rocks girlfriend. Buff briefs us on Brett Favre's welfare scam and his next job opportunity. Eb and Theresa rub all the football in Fergs face as the Cowboys and FAMU fell over the last week. Someone made a joke about Lizzo but we don't want that juju so we clean that up quickly. The discussion goes wild from the start as Theresa asks use to tackle the gender competition in relationships. We start a conversation around submission as well. The episode is a fresh take on normal conversations. So the brothers are in Houston celebrating Fergs vow renewal and we invade the Gent Spot - a dope barber shop/bar in the city. We get to do a live show inside the barber shop and we jump right in. Razi asks the shop their best advise for budding relationships and marriages. Buff brings up a question that lights the shop on fire. He mentions Dave Chappelle pushing back on low income housing near his investments and asks would we want low income housing built across from our home. We get a question from Miles the barbers and he asks how do we know when to move from single to committed relationship to marriage. We enjoyed being together for this one and hope you enjoy the conversation. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/threebrothersnosense/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/threebrothersnosense/support
I'm going to call Queenstown Tourism and have a chat about ‘being closed by Friday'. I spoke to a friend who lives in Queenstown this week and she described the place as a ghost town. She said it's a good time to come South! It's quiet, sure. A few cafes and restaurants are closed but QT is most certainly open for business. The Super Rugby Teams are all based there too now – but in bubbles. Also, you'll get some good deals on hotels. Go direct for the best prices – and to support them directly, rather than the big international websites. And finally, Fergs is open. I consider Fergs to be the canary in the mine!! No queues. They're still encouraging visitors for their long summer evenings and to enjoy the region.

In this weeks episode, we pull Fergs (one of the original 75mm ain't dead crew ambassadors) into the show to talk about our gear in the shed, why we like it and how we got it. We also discuss some news items in the Bogong Bulletin in relation to the most recent announcements around COVID. DISCLAIMER: Pardon the audio quality on this one.
