Michael Wolff returns with Joanna Coles for a blistering look at the latest fractures inside Trump's MAGA coalition. From Trump's resurfacing of Epstein anxieties and his strange new pardon predicament with Ghislaine Maxwell, to his growing unease over Israel and the rise of Christian nationalism, Wolff sketches a portrait of a president losing control of the populist movement he created. The Daily Beast's Chief Content Officer Joanna Coles presses Wolff on Tucker Carlson's ambitions, online swirling Charlie Kirk conspiracies, and J.D. Vance's quiet maneuvering for power. Together, they dissect how Trump's cult of loyalty is turning on itself and why his old tactics may finally be failing. Is Trump still the master of the MAGA hivemind, or has he become just another voice in the chaos he unleashed? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

A-BLOCK (2:30) SPECIAL COMMENT: TRUMP SUDDENLY SPECULATES ABOUT LIFE WITHOUT HIM: From anybody else it would be trivia. From Trump this is startling. Buried in an ordinary narcissistic flight: "It'll be very unfair in the future when they (Republicans) don't have Trump to fight for them." That quote, might be the biggest headline Trump has made this year and it sailed RIGHT past the American news media yesterday. What in the HELL did he mean by that and more importantly why did he suddenly acknowledge there is an end, maybe soon? After being MIA for five days – no live public viewing of him, just one video that according to White House time stamps took more than two hours to produce even though it only required him to try to speak for a minute-ten… he EMERGED with what was, even for him, such an utterly bizarre and especially vulnerable admission. He was out of view for FIVE DAYS. FIVE. From that bizarre “please clap” speech before the Generals at Quantico on Tuesday – the Pete Hegseth International Day of Military Hair Care Symposium and Product Sampling – through yesterday morning when he managed to stagger out of the White House, blast a series of non sequitirs at the press pool, and then go to another military celebration for which we have the money even in the middle of his shutdown of the government. Nobody asked: HOW have you been, WHERE have you been, WHAT are they treating you for, WHAT does that "when they don't have (you) to fight for them" quote mean? Because again, as in the week he went MIA at the beginning of LAST month, nobody had a clue what would take a man with compulsive talking disease and an ego so large it has own it zip code, from appearing in front of crowds and cameras for FIVE DAYS. And THEN Trump went in front of the Navy and said he warned about Osama Bin Laden last year, and told Pete Hegseth about it a year before 9/11, and claimed he was president in 2016 but they fixed the 2016 election, but they ran it again and he "got 250." What. In The Hell. Is Wrong. With Trump’s Health? B-Block (27:44) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: A $1 Trump coin? Ten cents per chin? Ian Miles Cheong doesn't think they'll eat his face. Noem and Lewandowski think they'll find undocumented immigrants attending the Super Bowl. And Kristi really has to go to the toilet. THIS IS OFFICIAL BUSINESS! C-Block (38:00) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: Well, here we are. Fifty years ago Tuesday night, at 11:15 PM, I did my first broadcast on an actual radio station with advertisers and listeners. I was 16 and it's not bad for 16 and for the fact that my much older colleagues at WVBR-FM did a superb job of hazing me. And yes, that first broadcast is still extant, as you'll hear.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this episode of The Wright Report, we cover a deadly shooting at an ICE facility in Texas, Gavin Newsom's taunts against federal immigration agents, a trillion-dollar bet on artificial intelligence, and surprising medical news about how common drugs damage the gut. From political violence in Dallas to AI schemes and gut health science, today's brief delivers facts and analysis shaping America's future.   ICE Facility Shooting in Dallas: Joshua Jahn, 29, opened fire on an ICE building with a Mauser-style rifle, killing one illegal alien and injuring two others before taking his own life. He left behind ammo marked “Anti-ICE” and had ties to Communist views similar to his leftist sister. Bryan warns the pattern echoes other recent attacks: “From Trump's assassin in Butler, PA… to Charlie Kirk's killer… these platforms like Steam and Discord are being used to groom young men into violence.”   Newsom Taunts ICE After Signing Five Bills: California Governor Gavin Newsom declared, “To ICE, unmask yourselves. What are you afraid of?” on Colbert's show, less than 24 hours before the Dallas attack. Leftist groups in California are doxxing ICE officers with help from AI activists in Europe, while Democrats push to weaken federal deportation powers. Bryan argues this is about political power, not civil rights: “Schumer and Pelosi said it themselves — they want illegals turned into citizens for votes and control.”   The AI Revolution's Cost and Scheming Risks: OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank pledged $500 billion for new U.S. data centers, with utilities warning of grid strain and soaring bills. While AI is helping detect Parkinson's and cancers, researchers admit models are “scheming” — purposely failing to hide competence. Bryan quips, “We're spending a trillion dollars to create systems that lie, hallucinate, and dumb down doctors.”   Common Medications Alter Gut Health for Years: Estonian researchers found antidepressants, beta-blockers, proton pump inhibitors, and benzodiazepines disrupt the gut microbiome as severely as antibiotics. Effects persist long after use, raising risks for diseases like cancer and Alzheimer's. Bryan advises, “If you're on meds, don't forget about your belly — diet, sleep, and exercise matter.”   "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32     Keywords: Dallas ICE facility shooting Joshua Jahn, Anti-ICE ammo Mauser rifle, Discord Steam radicalization grooming, Gavin Newsom Colbert ICE taunt, California ICE officer doxxing AI, Schumer Pelosi immigration citizenship votes, OpenAI Oracle SoftBank Stargate $500B, AI data center electricity water grid strain, AI scheming OpenAI ChatGPT, Estonia gut microbiome drugs study, antidepressants beta-blockers proton pump inhibitors benzos, long-term gut health risks cancer Alzheimer's

This push prioritizes energy security, especially for upstream gas developments, and also extends to other development banks to finance fossil fuel projects. They trace how this elegant but misleading model fueled globalization, masked exploitation, and locked nations into centuries of stagnation. From Trump's tariff tantrums to Biden's “small yard, high fence” strategy, their conversation challenges the myths of free trade and asks: when does trade strengthen societies, and when does it doom them to decline? EASY LISTENING DEP'T.: Before we get to the larger news, we're going to start with something very small, or at least something petty, that turns out astonishingly and yet obviously, to be of world historic import. This predates the social media wars of the late 2010s.” Smith continues. “One Trump appointee told me that a radicalizing experience was being booted out of the Gawker comments section way back in the day.” Of course it was. Of course the vicious dullards and bigots who are running the country into ruin are the same people who were being dullards and bigots in the comment section back in the day. From Trump on down, and laterally out through the titans of Silicon Valley and their fascist enthusiasms, this is a political movement built on profoundly unpleasant and unlikable people being furious that they can't make other people like them or respect them. Chuck Todd unpacks the fallout from Charlie Kirk's assassination and what it means for public displays of democracy, as lawmakers debate whether fear should keep them from showing up for their constituents. He also dives into explosive Senate testimony from former CDC director Dr. Monarez, who detailed political interference in vaccine policy under the Trump administration. The conversation shifts to the economic strain of tariffs and subsidy cuts—driving up everything from prescription drugs to coffee prices—alongside predictions of mass white-collar job losses fueled by AI. From Trump's push to end quarterly earnings reports to the unresolved fight over TikTok, he highlights how politics, economics, and technology are colliding in ways that test both government accountability and public trust. Then, he's joined by former director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Rohit Chopra for a deep dive into the role of the agency and the broader fight to regulate powerful financial institutions. Chopra explains why the agency has struggled to gain footing in Washington, the skepticism the public feels toward banks, and how past regulatory failures contributed to the 2008 financial crisis. They discuss how the CFPB uncovered systemic abuses, the resistance it faces from well-funded interests, and the ongoing debate over who should regulate emerging sectors like cryptocurrency and consumer data. The conversation also tackles the independence of the Federal Reserve, the risks of politicizing monetary policy, and how unchecked corporate power—from Wall Street to Silicon Valley—continues to shape the economy. Chopra pulls back the curtain on algorithmic lending practices, the dangers of personalized pricing, and why fines alone aren't enough to hold companies accountable. From junk fees to crypto, from AI abuse to executive impunity, this episode explores why Americans are increasingly demanding regulators who stand up to entrenched financial interests—and why another populist economic revolt may be closer than we think. Finally, he answers listeners' questions in the “Ask Chuck” segment and previews the upcoming weekend in college football.Got injured in an accident? From Trump's power serves to Biden's unforced errors, from the BLM protests' net violations to the Me Too movement's questionable calls, our hosts have provided play-by-play commentary on eight years of political theater. They've watched politicians lob softballs to themselves while completely whiffing on easy volleys, all while the mainstream media kept score like they were being paid by one of the players. The circus of American politics just keeps going to deuce, over and over, with no clear winner except the concession stands.

In this episode, we dive into the tangled web of politics, scandals, and selective outrage surrounding Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein. Over the weekend, Speaker Mike Johnson came out swinging—arguing that Trump not only distanced himself from Epstein early on but even cooperated with the FBI in efforts to expose him. Johnson emphasized Trump's compassion for Epstein's victims and his frustration that Democrats are now weaponizing the issue for political gain, despite doing nothing with Epstein records during Biden's DOJ tenure. But the story doesn't stop there. Confusion over whether Trump was technically an “FBI informant,” Democrats claiming they've finally found a “gotcha,” and Trump's own camp overhyping promised Epstein document dumps that fell flat have all combined into what some are calling a self-inflicted wound. The president maintains he has “clean hands,” yet critics argue the messaging has been muddled and politically costly. We also spotlight how Democrats and their media allies exploit these scandals to distract from their failures—while conveniently ignoring new revelations in the Epstein files. And just when you thought it couldn't get stranger, we break down a top-10 national headline claiming global warming is making Americans crave more sugar and ice cream. That's right—the same crowd warning of hurricanes, rising seas, and climate collapse now wants you to believe your dessert habits are part of the climate crisis.

Donald Trump made headlines again with an AI-generated “Apocalypse Now” meme targeting Chicago — and the media immediately claimed he was threatening war. Todd breaks down what Trump really meant, why Chicago's leaders oppose National Guard support, and how crime-ridden cities continue to reject real solutions.Todd also exposes the left's sudden obsession with Trump's age — after years of covering up Biden's very real cognitive decline. He reminds listeners that Biden's struggles were obvious as far back as 2020, yet power brokers and media elites buried the truth until they could no longer hide it.We also revisit HR 4405, the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which is still just a few signatures short of forcing a vote, and spotlight a communist candidate running for mayor of New York City. Even CNN's Abby Phillip couldn't make sense of his push for government-run grocery stores. Finally, Todd takes aim at the White House's review of Smithsonian exhibits, warning that history is being weaponized into leftist propaganda designed to undermine patriotism. He shares a personal story from Jamestown to show how subtle narratives rewrite America's past. From Trump's meme wars to propaganda in museums, this episode calls out hypocrisy, exposes corruption, and makes the case for law, truth, and real American history.Freedom Marketplace: https://freedommarketplace.net The Stack: https://www.toddhuffshow.com/stack-of-stuff Email: todd@toddhuffshow.comPhone: 317.210.2830Follow us on…Instagram: @toddhuffshowFacebook: The Todd Huff ShowTwitter: @toddhuffshowLinkedIn: The Todd Huff ShowTikTok: @toddhuffshowSupport Our Partners:https://www.toddhuffshow.com/partners Show Sponsors: https://www.mypillow.com/todd Promo Code: TODD Red, White, & Brand – Text TODD at 317-210-2830 for a 10% discount.SolTea – Heart health made simple. From Trump's bold RICO shot at George Soros to the Pentagon weighing equity stakes in defense contractors, the episode explores how national security and economic strategy are merging under Trump's leadership. Add in debates over 600,000 Chinese students, the fragility of Ivy League education in the age of AI, and Trump's promise of a free “American Academy,” and this episode serves up both sharp analysis and off-the-rails humor.
