It's Tuesday which means there's a new Hallmark movie to review! ABOUT THE GREEK AISLE When Georgia travels to the Greek island of Corfu to finalize an inheritance, she unexpectedly discovers that marrying her handsome co-inheritor is the only way to meet the requirements. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR THE GREEK AISLE June 6, 2026 | Hallmark Channel CAST & CREW OF THE GREEK AISLE Director: Maclain Nelson Writers: Maclain Nelson, Betsy Sullenger Cast: Nikki DeLoach as Georgia Apostolis Totsikas as Alex Marini BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS Georgia comes into the office and, if you can believe it, Georgia has a dead relative in Greece. She receives the final notice of her inheritance. If she doesn't come there by the 18th, she doesn't get whatever the inheritance is. And she has to claim it in person. So off to Corfu she goes where she meets her fellow inheritor, Alex. Turns out, she left her house to both of them. She wants to sell the house to him but it's complicated because she's not from Greece. The only workaround is for them to just get married. These crazy kids decide to give it a go! They have a wedding and he ends up kissing her big ones! She has to stick around a while and naturally the sparks begin to fly. She even helps him get a promotion at work. Maybe she should just stay! But she has her partner back home who is counting on her and that money. He asks her to swim the canal with him which is a big deal. She kind of freaks out and goes. The sale is finalized and she gives him the ring back. But she realizes she's not ready to go home yet. So she texts him to meet at the canal, they swim it, they kiss big ones, and she's going to stay!!! Watch the show on Youtube - www.deckthehallmark.com/youtubeInterested in advertising on the show? John Maytham is joined by Julia Martin, author of On the Sponge Islands, who explores how technological advances in the late 19th century — particularly deep-sea diving suits — transformed sponge harvesting into a dangerous, high-stakes pursuit. While it unlocked unprecedented wealth, it also exposed divers to extreme risks, often with fatal consequences. Through her writing, Martin reveals how this fragile ecosystem and way of life eventually collapsed, leaving behind stories of resilience, loss, and the delicate balance between nature and human ambition. Presenter John Maytham is an actor and author-turned-talk radio veteran and seasoned journalist. His show serves a round-up of local and international news coupled with the latest in business, sport, traffic and weather. The host’s eclectic interests mean the program often surprises the audience with intriguing book reviews and inspiring interviews profiling artists. A daily highlight is Rapid Fire, just after 5:30pm. CapeTalk fans call in, to stump the presenter with their general knowledge questions. Another firm favourite is the humorous Thursday crossing with award-winning journalist Rebecca Davis, called “Plan B”. Jen and Dawson have now been housemates nearly as long as they've been dating, and Jen is getting itchy: she's grossed out when Dawson wants to use her toothbrush (which he only has to because she commandeered his for makeup purposes) and violated when he starts going through her stuff in the bathroom. Jen channels these feelings into advice for the female students who call in asking for relationship tips, which is fine until Dawson tunes in just as she's saying that although you can delay it with sex, all men leave. Jack is finding out this is true in a sense at the frat house: as he moves in to a capacious single, upperclassman Blossom is moving into a shared room with Eric. Turns out Jack is right to be suspicious about how THAT arrangement came about. UNTAPPED - Live Up To Your Potential
105. From Rat Race to Greek Island: Why Selling Everything Led to True Wealth and Freedom with Genine Howard

UNTAPPED - Live Up To Your Potential

Sometimes freedom isn't about adding more, it's about releasing what no longer serves you. This week on the LifePilot Podcast, I'm honored to speak with Genine Howard—entrepreneur, mentor, and world traveler—who chose a path most of us only whisper about in quiet moments: she let go of it all. The house. The cars. The furniture. One suitcase per person. And with her family, she crossed half the globe to build a new life on a quiet Greek island.I recently saw a post she made on Instagram that stoped scrolling and got me booking her on my podcast: Genine and her family had sold everything, the house, the cars, the furniture, packed one suitcase each, and moved to the other side of the world. What began as a simple wish to step off the hamster wheel became a full rebirth of wealth, of purpose, of joy. She learned to navigate visas and unfamiliar streets. She sat with culture shock and chose curiosity over fear. She traded certainty for possibility, pausing her business, teaching herself crypto, creating a whole new business and rediscovering what it means to live, not just perform. Her story isn't about escaping. It's about returning to herself, to her family, to a life that breathes. If you've ever felt the slow pull of a life that once felt like freedom but now feels like a quiet prison… this conversation is for you. Not to convince you to sell everything. But to remind you: you already have the right to imagine something deeper. And sometimes, all it takes is the courage to take the first step, even without a map. What You'll Learn:Why Genine and her family decided to sell everything and leave Australia for GreeceThe surprising reality (and synchronicities!) behind their move abroadHow taking a business sabbatical led to a whole new path in wealth creationWhat it takes to homeschool and raise globally minded kids while living abroadHow Genine rebuilt her relationship with money, learning to grow wealth instead of just making incomeWhy simplicity, community, and intuition became her new success metrics Hosted on Acast. Hear about travel to the Peloponnese Peninsula in Greece as the Amateur Traveler talks to travel writer Sally Jane Smith about a great alternative to visiting the Greek Islands. Sally Jane says, “The thing is that most visitors go to Greece. They go to Athens, and then they tend to go straight to the islands. And Greece has hundreds of islands. The ones that most visitors go to are the resort-style islands of Santorini and Mykonos. Don't get me wrong, these are incredible places, but they tend to be crowded and they tend to be expensive. Whereas if you go to the Peloponnese and the Saronic Islands, which are just off the coast of the Peloponnese, you get that perfect balance. There are enough travelers visiting the area that they have all the facilities that you might need, but it also feels like you're exploring the real Greece rather than having a resort holiday. And it's gorgeous. There are striking landscapes. There are incredibly strong connections to history and to legend. There are five world heritage sites just on the Peloponnese Peninsula itself.” After starting in Athens which we covered in Athens Greece – Episode 832, we head down to the Peloponnese past the amazing Corinth Canal to the rocky island of Monemvasia. Monemvasia was founded in the sixth century and is a fortified city that has been nicknamed “the Gibraltar of the East”. It is a pedestrian-only town. You can hike the many many steps up the rock to the ruins of the old fortress with a great view of the old town. Bring your walking shoes for this and many of our other stops. ... https://amateurtraveler.com/travel-to-the-peloponnese-greece/ Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
