Scripture For Today:Deuteronomy 4:7“What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to him? The Peace of God pt 2We have been studying what the Apostle Paul had to say about the benefits of praying in the Spirit. Yesterday, the Holy Spirit led us down a side path discussing the soon to come destruction of the United States – so if you missed that – go back and listen. My intention today is to continue our study of “The Peace of God” that we started on July 1st. But, as we seen yesterday, the Holy Spirit is free to lead as He so desires. Amen! So, in Philippians 6:18, we read:  “Be careful for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, my brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of a good report – if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things.” We covered yesterday that the United States of America is embarking on a road of darkness, not enlightenment. They want to appease everyone, in violation of the Christian foundation of this nation – that JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY to Heaven. There is no other way.  In the Old Testament, in Genesis 11:1-9, a group of people decided they could make their own way to Heaven. They did not need God's help. So, they started to build a tower.  It did not work out well for them, did it? What makes you, or hopefully, not you, but what makes society today think they can get to Heaven on their own. Society in America today says, “We don't need your God.”  And guess what, they will get their wish. Absolutely, 100%. God does not SEND anyone to hell. They choose to go there by rejecting God and by rejecting Jesus. So, in the end, they get what they desired. They may not have understood it all, but they knew enough that when confronted with the Gospel, they reject it – because it is so “racist” or whatever other tag they want to put on it.  And, there are some, so called, Christian churches, so called pastors and so called Christians, who believe the same way. They endorse homosexuality and gay marriage. They endorse lawlessness all in the name of “standing up to the man.” You name it, it is happening today. But, I  have good news for you today. God sees all of this. We can have the PEACE OF GOD ruling in our hearts, even when all hell is breaking loose around us. I can sit back and LAUGH (and I do) at the rioters in the streets. At the soaring crime rates in Democrat controlled cities. I LAUGH.  Why? Because that is what God is doing. Amen I'll show you. Turn to Psalms 37, verses 12-29: “The wicked make evil plans against good people. They grind their teeth at them in anger. But the Lord laughs at the wicked. He sees that their day is coming. The wicked draw their swords. They bend their bows. They try to kill the poor and helpless. They want to kill those who are honest. But their swords will stab their own hearts. Their bows will break.  It's better to have little and be right than to have much and be wrong. The power of the wicked will be broken. But the Lord supports those who do right. The Lord watches over the lives of the innocent. Their reward will last forever. They will not be ashamed when trouble comes. They will be full in times of hunger.  But the wicked will die. The Lord's enemies will be like the flowers of the fields. They will disappear like smoke. The wicked people borrow but don't pay back. But those who do right give freely to others. Those people the Lord blesses will inherit the land. But those he curses will be sent away.  When a man's steps follow the Lord, God is...

I Laugh In The Face Of Cancer - Susan Hall, 69, grandmother and former Playboy bunny, author of Ha, I Laugh in the Face of Cancer and Scented Adventures of The Bouquet Sisters in Fairyland. She healed herself from cancer with a Native American formula. Her brother, LA Lakers owner, Jerry Buss, also was diagnosed with cancer at the same time and chose conventional treatments, his suffering and untimely death, inspired Susan to write her book in his honor.
