Judy Ward | James 1:27-2:6 Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here's a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet,” have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts? Or... suppose the whole congregation is invited to breakfast, and while a wealthy few are given a full meal, most only have toast and a real outsider just a glass of water? Listen to the beginning of the recording to find out. Judy Ward goes on to explain the work of Christians Against Poverty in freeing people trapped in unpayable debt, and challenges us to respond to the needs, often hidden, around us. The recording also includes an introduction from Jess Green, the reading from Janet Chalmers and a prayer from Rachel Fasham.. An edited video recording of the Sunday service can be viewed on YouTube.

Lithium is one of the key raw materials in the energy transition, and it is a byproduct of oil and gas production – a component of the salty brines that accompany hydrocarbon production. The oil and gas industry is increasingly exploring how to extract lithium from produced water. As oil and gas producers contemplate becoming lithium producers as well, raw materials traceability via digitized supply chains is receiving more attention from the extractive industries as well as manufacturers and governments. In this installment of NGI's Hub & Flow podcast, Jess Green of UK-based Circulor talks to NGI Associate Editor Matthew Veazey about the growing importance of traceability along the supply chain for lithium from the standpoint of environmental, social, and governance – or ESG – compliance.
Jess Green returns to discuss Canada's new budget with Dan and Riley, with a special focus on the climate plans. We're taking the carbon, and we're putting it underground, folks! Jess Green joins me for Episode 30. A few years ago I listened to a podcast with Sean Whalen and Jess Green. What stuck out to me in that conversation was that “selling” isn’t about the sale. “Selling” is about adding value and building relationships. Something we all do everyday. After Episode 25 with Sean I reached out to Jess and invited him to be a guest on my podcast. Little did I know I would be looking for a house to buy the following week. When I decided to start looking, I reached out to Jess again because he is a real estate agent. Within a few days he found a place and we made an offer. As of this week I am officially under contract with a completion and move in date set for December. Jess has been great to work with buying my first home and made it an awesome experience. Jess shares his story of having a felony, but how hard work and making the most of opportunities made him a top Mercedes Benz car salesman. He explains how we are all salesman and how we make transactions everyday with people. Whether it’s selling cars, real estate, purchasing something at a store, being an employee, dating etc. etc. we are constantly selling ourselves. This was a very enlightening conversation and there are so many valuable takeaways from this episode. Grab a beverage of your choice and enjoy the show.
