This is the 50th episode of Kinda Geeky. Wow, we made it to 50. This episode is very special for multiple reasons. First off it's the 50th episode (of course), also my friend Julio sat in as an interim co-host, and lastly I got a chance to interview a few people at Long Beach Comic Expo; so all of this is wrapped into one awesome episode. First up is Luis @ithinkim_luis and Vincent @vincent_wk who were cosplaying as Nightwing and Redhood. Meet Luis a year ago at the same convention, so it was nice to get a chance to interview him. Kinda the theme throughout the episode (other than the usually Kinda Geeky topics) was “Cosplay is Not Consent” and “Cosplay Is For Everyone”. Some great stories from everyone were brought up. After these two gentlemen, I got a chance to sit down with Kristina @zer0pm . She was cosplaying as Sivir from League of Legends. She shared a few great stories about cosplaying and live streaming. Also we discussed our love for one of my favorite games; Legend of Dragoons. After that my friend Luis @luciferbob (little sprite cosplay) finishes up the interviews. He had a very Nintendo evolution and he shared his job at the end, which is a pretty cool job. The whole episode is 1 hour 53 minutes, so I will put the interview times below in case you want to listen to a specific part. But I hope you enjoy the episode. That's 50 episodes down and many more to come with some new things on the horizon for Kinda Geeky as well. Stay tuned, enjoy and remember to always stay…Kinda Geeky

Though Megan Dolan’s one-woman performance, "Lemur Mom" begins with her son being diagnosed with Asperger’s, it is not about her son or Aspergers. Rather, Dolan talks about the pressure to measure up that all mothers, fathers, teenagers, well, just about everyone feels these days, attempting to live up to false narratives created and perpetuated by social media and reruns of “The Doris Day Show.” Dolan, a Long Beach resident and Cal State Long Beach grad who has written and performed stories for all manner of outfits, dropped by to talk about the process of creating and performing "Lemur Mom" which opens this weekend at Cal State Long Beach. Also, Mike Wellman who just opened Atomic Basement Comics, talks about what he'll be doing at and looking forward to at the Long Beach Comic Expo which takes place Saturday and Sunday. He also makes clear that he likes lasagna. A lot. All this and Asia Morris's amazing crinkling paper! 0:00 Happy New Year! Here's a real mixed bag of an episode, with an overarching theme of "Conventions"... Cujo is bursting with tales to tell of his time at the Long Beach Comic Expo where he had, amongst other things, a run-in with Aubrey Sitterson! What went down? Only one way to find out! Also, Rob tables a discussion of cute vinyl Joes and Cobra's with creepy green eyes; Steve considers supporting HasLab in their attempts to crowdfund Jabba's Sail Barge (if for no other reason than to make Boba Fett die like a bitch); there is talk of the Python Patrol versus Slaughter's Marauders Convention set... and finally: are there any truly seaworthy boats in the A Real American Hero toyline? GI Joburg playtest a few firm favourites while shooting a YouTube video and the results may shock and amaze! And after all that madness, if you still love us and want to see us at JoeCon this year, check out our Joe Fund Me on GoFundMe! We're gonna make it! This is awesome!!! https://www.gofundme.com/gijoburg-joecon2018
