Have you ever felt like God really knows your name? It's a powerful feeling, and it's something we can find in the Bible. In 2 Corinthians 5:16-21, Paul says that we have been raised with Christ, and we have been seated with the angels in the heavenly places. He also says that we have been made to be like God, and that we have been given the Spirit of God. And in Luke 15:1-3, Jesus tells the story of a lost sheep who finds its way back to its shepherd. He says that the sheep is like us, and that we are like the sheep. He says that we are loved by God, and that we are cherished by God. So, the next time you feel like God really knows your name, remember these verses. They remind us that we are loved by God, and that we are cherished by God.Scripture references: 2 Corinthians 5:16-21 and Luke 15:1-3.“HE KNOWS MY NAME” -- CCLI Song # 2151368 | Tommy Walker | © 1996 Universal Music - Brentwood Benson Songs | For use solely with the SongSelect® Terms of Use. What does bringing clarity and control to today's fragmented digital work environments take? In this episode, recorded live at IGEL Now & Next 2025, I sit down with Tommy Walker, Partner CTO at Omnissa, to explore the intersection of user experience, security, and operational simplicity in modern enterprise IT. With career-spanning roles at VMware, Citrix, and Cisco, Tommy offers a real-world perspective on navigating complexity while building meaningful solutions that work at scale. This is a conversation grounded in reality. We discuss how organizations can move beyond legacy infrastructure and simplify their digital workspace strategy without overwhelming users or IT teams. Tommy shares how Omnissa is helping enterprises shift from scattered tools and outdated workflows to unified, AI-informed platforms that boost both productivity and resilience. We also unpack the practical steps for tackling challenges like technical debt, the Windows 10 end-of-life transition, and rising pressure on IT to deliver more with fewer resources. Throughout the discussion, Tommy emphasizes the importance of partnerships—not just between vendors, but within the entire IT ecosystem—to deliver outcomes that matter. And yes, there's also room for a few lighter moments involving drones, endpoint telemetry, and the occasional geek-out over infrastructure design. But at the core of this conversation is a clear message: modern IT is about enabling users without compromising security and simplifying operations without losing flexibility. If you're rethinking your endpoint strategy, evaluating your hybrid work approach, or just trying to bring a little more order to the chaos, this episode will leave you with practical insights and maybe even a few new ideas for your roadmap. Are you ready to build a digital workspace strategy that actually works? Let's get into it.

What if I told you that the man who flew above Disneyland's Tomorrowland in the 1960s wasn't on wires, but strapped to actual jet engines? The remarkable true story of the rocket belt at Disney parks is more fascinating—and bizarre—than you might imagine.Kelly and Pete explore the surprising origins of personal flight technology, beginning with Wendell Moore of Bell Aeronautics, who adapted stabilization jets from Chuck Yeager's sound barrier-breaking X-1 aircraft into a wearable rocket pack. Though limited to just 21 seconds of flight time and powered by 90% pure hydrogen peroxide, these devices captured worldwide imagination, appearing not just at Disneyland and Disney World, but at presidential demonstrations, the 1984 Olympics opening ceremony, and in James Bond's "Thunderball."The rocket belt's journey through entertainment history connects fascinating dots between science fiction and reality. From Buck Rogers' "jumping belt" of 1920s comics to Commando Cody's rocket adventures in 1950s film serials, America had been primed to embrace personal flight long before it became technically possible. When Disney showcased these devices above Tomorrowland, they were fulfilling dreams decades in the making. But this is just the beginning of a story that grows increasingly strange. As competing rocket belt designs emerge, the narrative takes unexpected turns involving lawn-mowing teenagers who became rocket men, alleged drug smuggling operations, baseball bat confrontations, stolen equipment, and the birth of troubling rivalries that will ultimately lead to truly startling consequences. This first installment of a two-part rocket belt saga lifts off from the Flight Circle of yesterday's Tomorrowland and soars through a landscape where Disney history intersects with one of technology's most persistently appealing—yet perpetually impractical—dreams. Join us next time as the story grows even more unbelievable.==================================================================Show Notes: Bill Suitor is his name, not Robert as Kelly says early on.Dr. Theopolis on Buck Rogers was voiced by Howard F. Flynn. It's actually unclear if Tommy Walker booked the Bell Rocketbelt team for the 1964 World's Fair. He did, however, book Suitor to fly the RocketBelt for the 1984 Olympic Games opening as well as the team's 1965 and 1967 appearances at Disneyland.Walker, by the way, also composed the six-note "Charge!" fanfare heard at American sporting events.Astronaut Charles Duke: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_DukeKelly is playing fast and loose with the attraction naming. Rocket to the Moon (1955), Flight to the Moon (1967), Mission to Mars (1975).The Jetbelt guys actually could have launched from the location of the former Flying Saucers ride in 1967 because it had been converted to the Tomorrowland stage.Technical Debt at Disneyland article - https://boardwalktimes.net/the-cost-of-endless-magic-theme-parks-and-technical-debt-73a4bb29bb24Jaxxon! https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Jaxxon_T._TumperakkiThanks for listening! We'd love it if you would give us a cheeky little review on your podcast platform of choice. In this episode of Create Like the Greats, Ross sits down with Tommy Walker to dive into his groundbreaking report, The State of Discontent, which reveals critical challenges and emerging trends in the content marketing industry. Through in-depth interviews and data analysis, Tommy highlights the gaps in audience research, the evolving role of meaning in storytelling, and the ethical use of AI in content creation. Together, they discuss how marketers can adapt their strategies, embrace innovation, and foster stronger team dynamics to thrive in a rapidly changing landscape. This conversation is packed with actionable insights for anyone looking to stay ahead in the content marketing world. Key Takeaways and Insights: 1. The Importance of Audience Research in Content Marketing Tommy Walker's report reveals a startling statistic: 40.3% of content marketers fail to conduct sufficient audience research. This oversight undermines the effectiveness of content marketing strategies, as understanding the audience is crucial for crafting impactful messages. Many marketers make the mistake of relying too heavily on assumptions about their existing audience, leading to a disconnect between the content's intention and its reception. The episode underscores that audience research is not just a step in the process—it's the foundation of meaningful engagement. 2. The Shift from Information to Meaning Content marketing is no longer just about disseminating information; it's about creating content that resonates deeply with the audience. Tommy explains that audiences are increasingly seeking narratives that connect with their values and experiences. Simply presenting ideas without context or emotional relevance misses the mark. The discussion highlights how prioritizing meaning over information enables marketers to forge genuine connections that leave a lasting impact. 3. Leveraging AI Responsibly AI's role in content creation is transformative, but only when used responsibly. Tommy and Ross delve into the importance of frameworks that integrate AI without sacrificing quality. While AI can streamline processes and boost productivity, it cannot replace the creative and strategic thinking integral to impactful content. A skilled writer using AI as a tool can amplify their work, but poor foundational skills will still yield subpar results. The key takeaway is that AI should complement, not replace, human ingenuity. 4. The Road Ahead: Long-Term Vision in Content Marketing The episode emphasizes the need for a long-term vision in content marketing, which is often overshadowed by short-term goals. Tommy points out that neglecting thorough audience research not only hampers immediate efforts but also jeopardizes the ability to build sustainable relationships. By focusing on a strategic, forward-looking approach, marketers can attract the right audience and nurture connections that endure, ensuring their content remains relevant and impactful over time. What are some other common challenges businesses face when managing CABs, and how should marketers address them? How can marketers measure the success and impact of a Customer Advisory Board on product marketing initiatives? Celebrate the mystery and truth that God knows us intimately, God doesn't just know our names or faces; He sees the depths of our being. He knows our thoughts before we even think them, our paths before we take them. This all-encompassing knowledge can feel overwhelming, even intimidating. We are fearfully and wonderfully made, known and loved by God. May this knowledge be a source of strength, comfort, and inspiration in all that we do.
