We want to introduce you to Yukon. This handsome guy would love to trade kennel life for the Yukon if he had the option! He is a Husky/Malamute mix (heavy on the malamute) who is 9 years young. Yukon came from Camp Pendleton-- yes, that Camp Pendleton! While he was not qualified for service as a US Marine, he lived on base. He was passed from family to family through the years that he spent there. He would be given a home, then the family would get transferred to a new base and would leave Yukon behind to be adopted out by a new family. Yukon went through approximately 9 families because of this sad cycle. He was then adopted by what truly seemed to be his fur-ever family. He had children and a dog sibling to share his home with. The children suffered from severe allergies and the parents were constantly on the hunt for the cause. After a full allergy screening, it was determined that the saliva from both dogs were the cause of the allergies the children were suffering from. The family then has to make the heartbreaking choice to rehome both of their dogs. The task of cramming allergy meds into a young child is a daunting task and we can understand that. The other dog was rehomed fairly quickly by the family. Yukon, however, wasn't as lucky. No one wanted a big, 'old dog'. Let's be correct. The right people didn't want an 'old dog'. Yukon is a gentle soul. He loves people and is wonderful with young children. His previous family has a three-year-old who would snuggle and lay with Yukon. He seemed to relish the moments with the children. He wasn't even bothered when the now nine-month-old child came along. Yukon is house trained, good with other dogs and children and UTD on his vaccinations. Yukon also knows basic commands such as "sit". He isn't troubled by the noise of the kennel. He looks at us so sweetly and quietly, and we know we need to get him back into a permanent home. Would you be willing to give him a cool floor to lie down on and a backyard for sniffing? Will you be the FINAL family and home he ever has to get used to? We want to get Yukon into his fur-EVER home more than anything as the heat of the season approaches. This lovable pup has paid his dues with age and shouldn't have to look for another family AGAIN, but here he is. He has never seen a cat so he isn't sure if he will tolerate them, but he is great with children, including the young ones. If you can find it in your heart to share a life with a soul as beautiful as Yukon's, please come meet him at our shelter, Van Buren County Animal Control. We are located at 58040 County Road 681, Hartford, MI. Our phone number is 269-621-4624. We don't think that you'll be disappointed by this guy!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Espera and Vessel are 7-month-old siblings with sweet personalities and a special bond. These two love nothing more than curling up together in a cozy bed or cat tree, keeping each other company while they relax. When they’re not cuddling, you’ll often find them perched by the window, happily watching birds and squirrels like it’s their favorite TV show. They bring a calm, comforting presence along with just the right touch of playful curiosity. Both are gentle, affectionate, and enjoy spending time with their people as well as each other. While they can be adopted separately, it would be wonderful to see them continue their journey side by side. If you’re looking for one sweet companion or a perfectly matched pair, Espera and Vessel are ready to fill your home with double the love. Meet the loveliest little lady around! Lady is a Husky-Shepherd mix who is a little over one year old. She is up to date on her shots, microchipped, and spayed. She even does well with dogs and cats, making her the perfect package deal! She adores walks and exploring the outdoors. Lady would make the best hiking partner! Lady also adores people; she will be at your hip wherever you go. Talk about a man's or lady's best friend! Since Lady is already spayed, her adoption fee has been waived. We would love to see Lady go to a wonderful home, so don't be shy! Come see if she is the match made for you! Y’all, this week’s episode is a doozy! Before you ask, YES – it is not a typical HHH episode. In fact, this might be the “healthiest” type of episode I’ve ever published for this show. When Trong approached me 6+ months ago with how his yeast farmer device was going to change my personal health… it obviously took me 6+ months to take him serious and have him on the show to convince me (and you guys) about it. After this episode though, I am committed to trying it out. What’s the worst that could happen? A simple conversation turns into a full argument about measurements, routines, and why grown men confidently do math that absolutely cannot be trusted. From there, it's travel habits, food takes that start fights for no reason, and debates that spiral way past the point of being productive. There are strong opinions, bad logic, repeated callbacks, and multiple moments where someone probably should've stopped talking but didn't. Nobody agrees, nothing gets settled, and everyone leaves more confident than when they started.

S3 E21 Use Your Egg-Noggin In this holiday special, Bob Cutler crashes the George Hale Ric Tyler Show with mason jars and a mission: help hosts survive the entertaining season without being trapped behind the bar. Bob introduces his ultimate holiday "cheat code"—pre-batching cocktails, especially eggnog, so hosts can spend time with family and friends instead of mixing drinks all night. He explains that time is the one gift you can't buy, but you can give it back to yourself with smart prep. Key Topics Pre-Batching as Holiday Survival By batching eggnog and cocktails ahead of time, hosts reclaim their evenings and stay present for the moments that actually matter. Eggnog as a Living Cocktail Homemade eggnog improves with age, becoming silkier and more integrated, proving that patience can be a powerful ingredient. Hospitality Through Intention From ice choice to glassware to flavor balance, Bob frames cocktails as part of a full sensory experience—not just something to drink. Episode Index (0:00–2:53) Bob introduces the holiday "cheat code": pre-batching cocktails so hosts aren't stuck behind the bar. Richard Johnson and Alex Kirshner guide you through the coming Rivalry Week in college football, going through dozens of games with 1) playoff stakes, 2) conference championship stakes, and 3) none of those stakes at all, because many of these week's games don't need them to be fascinating. Among the many, many games that we discuss on this episode: * The Egg Bowl: “Distractions” shouldn't matter here. Right? * Georgia vs. Georgia Tech: Why we're not discounting the Yellow Jackets, despite their defense falling off a cliff lately * Texas A&M at Texas: At least half of this podcast thinks the Longhorns are about to pull the upset at home. Why? * Miami at Pitt: A bad matchup for the Panthers, but could Carson Beck gift them a chance at an upset? * Clemson at South Carolina: Which fanbase would be more despondent? * Kentucky at Louisville: Have the trajectories here flipped? * WKU at Jacksonville State: Will the Gamecocks prove harder for WKU's defense to stop than LSU's offense was? * Vanderbilt at Tennessee: Why are we a little nervous about the Dores?* The Iron Bowl: Again, why does at least half of this podcast think the home team is going to pull the upset? * And finally, in THE MAIN COURSE presented by Modelo, we've got Bill Landis of “Bill and Doug on Ohio State Football” in the house. Bill gets us up to speed on this Ohio State season and talks about the Buckeyes' path to ending their four-year drought against Michigan. And much, much more. Have you ever walked past something every single day and somehow never noticed it? Yep… me too. In this episode of the Visibly Fit Podcast, we're talking about healing tools that are hiding in plain sight — the simple, everyday things you probably already have at home that can support your health in powerful ways.I kick things off with a funny story about my husband's missing LARQ bottle (because who loses something that's literally right in front of their face?). But that moment reminded me of something deeper: so many of us overlook the most effective healing modalities because they seem too simple or too ordinary. We assume health has to be complicated, expensive, or high-tech, when in reality, God has already provided us with so many tools right where we are.I hope that this conversation opens your eyes a little wider to your home, your backyard, and even your everyday routines. Because healing isn't always found in something new… sometimes it's found in what you've been walking past all along.Chapters[00:00] Podcast Preview[01:22] Welcome + The “Lost” LARQ Bottle Story[04:15] Hidden in Plain Sight: The Deeper Lesson[06:08] Hot Potato Remedy for Sore Throats[08:00] Saltwater, Lemon, Thyme & Peppermint Gargle[08:42] Pine Needle Tea & Its Powerful Benefits[10:36] Purslane: The Wild Weed That Fuels Energy[12:54] Milk Thistle + Dandelion Root Liver Detox Tea[15:11] Onions in the Socks to Reduce Fever Naturally[17:40] Cabbage Wraps for Joint Pain & Inflammation[19:09] DIY Brain Fog Blend with Pumpkin Seeds & Herbs[21:06] Parsley Tea for UTI Support[22:39] Aloe Vera: Skin Healing & Everyday Uses[23:54] Epsom Salt Baths for Magnesium + Inflammation[25:05] Baking Soda for Heartburn Relief[26:11] Rice Compress for Hot/Cold Therapy[27:10] Towels, Broomsticks & Paper Plates for Home Workouts[30:15] Mason Jars & Pantry Hacks for Healthy Living[34:00] Citrus Peel Aromatherapy[34:56] Final Thoughts: What Are You Overlooking in Your Life?Resources mentioned:FREE Green Drink Recipe: liveimmune.comConnect with me: wendy@wendiepett.com More FREE Resources visit wendiepett.comP.S. Nacho, Nacho Mannnnn is a tan and white colored cattle dog mix with a very fun and playful side who can be a bit rambunctious. When he gets outside, he loves to show off his zoomy side in the play yard. Nacho is a big goofball to say the least. He is roughly 2 years old, up to date on his vaccinations and neutered. He came to us earlier in the summer and has been a joy to have, but it's time for him to find a home with a family or even a single human to call his own. He loves his toys and people, but he is not a Velcro dog. He will lean against you while you pet him, but he doesn't overwhelm you by looking for attention. Nacho is a bit shy when it comes to meeting other dogs 'in person', but through the kennel he is quite playful with his neighbors. He has had a variety of neighbors and, so far, hasn't had a poor reaction to any of them. Nacho does need some proper guidance with manners, but overall is very well behaved and potty trained. He just has an excellent, friendly personality. He knows 'sit' and does fairly well on a leash, but he could really benefit from someone willing to teach him more and give him a 'job' since his breed is a working breed. Sadly, he isn't a great choice for families with small children because he hasn't had much experience with them. Meaning that his rambunctious side is a bit too much for them and being mouthy sometimes when he plays. This is part of the breed and their natural instinct to herd which can be redirected with proper, consistent training. We would love to invite people to come and meet Nacho so that they can see for themselves just how awesome this guy is. If you have had experience with cattle dogs previously, then you know how important training is with this breed and how wonderful they can be. Please contact Van Buren County Animal Control at 269-621-4624 or visit the shelter at 58040 County Road 681, Hartford, MI 49057 to learn more about the smart and handsome Nacho.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Balto is so cuddly and fluffy, he just lures you in with his charm. He will make a great protector of the home because he knows who’s giving him the love and affection that he craves. From wild tangents to relatable moments, it's classic Camp Citrus vibes—unscripted, unfiltered, and unexpectedly insightful. Grab your headphones, kick back, and let D-Nice and Dot Solo bring the energy only they can.
Meet Alex and Max, happy little guys who are certain to put a smile on your face! They are playful and adore attention from people. Pure breed Havanese dogs, only 4-1/2 years old. Alex is grey and weighs around 14 pounds. Max is black with white and weighs around 16 pounds. Both boys would like to lose a couple of pounds, but wouldn't we all?!! Alex loves to be held and carried. Max is more independent, preferring to walk and climb up beside you. The boys are crate-trained, however, they are not fully house-trained and will need work with leash-training, but they are smart and have wonderful personalities! The boys are neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. They recently saw their groomer, so their normally longer coats will be growing out soon. Neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. Reach out to Paws of Hope at information@pawsofhope.org to learn more about adorable Alex and Max. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Beautiful Elsa is a husky mix of fur and love. We named her Elsa after "Frozen" because her coat is white and fluffy like the snow in winter. We found it to fit her. We are unsure of her exact age, but we guess that she is about 3 years old. She prefers to hang out on the outside area of her kennel during the mornings when everyone is barking and being noisy. Elsa is pretty low key and will shy away from people initially, but she is very friendly and loving. She enjoys being groomed and petted. She has no problem rolling over onto her back so that you can reach all the best places. She came to us after a fatal chicken incident and was never claimed by her owner. You could tell that she was pretty scared and was quite stand-offish. Now she greets us, she paws at us when we get close to her. All-around, Elsa is just a great dog. She does well with some of the dogs here at the kennel, but not with our resident cat. She loves to explore in our play yard and play with her toys. She has even been caught trying to play with her kennel neighbors under the fence. She has been so good and patient, we just want to tell everyone about how sweet she is. She will gently lick your cheek when she sidles up next to you. Her journey from journalist to children's author is a testament to following unexpected creative paths. Next, Evelyn Bookless returns to the show with "Jinx," a hilarious interactive picture book that challenges young readers to stay silent while a playful character tries to make them speak. With clever twists and unexpected humor, Evelyn has crafted a book that keeps kids engaged and laughing throughout the story. The episode concludes with a special mother-son duo, Sarah Elizabeth Graves and her son Parker, who collaborated on "Attack of the Monster Pickles." It is the combination of little parts of every 90's Christmas family movie and putting them into one movie. It's pretty boring, but for a ten or twelve year old, it is good. Otherwise, it's not that great. I've started using Mason Jars for storing left overs. We all know we shouldn't put warm food into plastic containers because it leaches into your food.
