Even though this episode is only coming out on April 23rd (if Jono edits it on time) I can assure you that it was recorded on April 20th. You know… the stoner day. 420 bay-bay. Anyways, that's the flimsy excuse for why we spend time talking about Sublime and Cypress Hill. There's a lot to unpack but the gist of it is that the drummer from Sublime is a MAGA Trump supporter. Then Cypress Hill dropped out of the Sublime festival this summer that is run by a big MAGA donator. Many suspect that is the reason Cypress Hill dropped out of the festival. Four twenty blaaaaazzeee yeeeeahhhh. Anyways, a lot of music talk in this one. We talk about Nine Inch Noize (the recent collaboration between Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize), Angine de Poitrine and Diplo kind of being the worst. The future of music might be AI slop but I don't need to like it. We wrap things up with with some Stephen King adaptations with Jon watching The Long Walk and Scott finishing off Welcome to Derry. Over on Garbage Time we talk about Nirvanna the Band the Show (specifically the webseries which is mercifully well preserved on this website), provide our Wrestlemania 42 takes, talk about the Habs vs the Bolts in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs and wrap up talking about Shoresy Season 5. Oh also Matt clarified that they use “Army” as an end-credit song for Nirvanna The Band The Show because it's one of Jay's favorite bands and it's one of the first things he ever shared with Matt. Mystery solved. Thanks Reddit!. If you would like to show your support and head over to Patreon and subscribe at the 9ES Deluxe tier to listen to this and all past episodes of Garbage Time that would be appreciated. Thanks for bearing with us listeners! After various real life events necessitated we take a month-long hiatus, we're happy to be back with a new episode, and what better way to kick off season whatever-we're-on-now than with a visit to the prestigious Indieventure Vault? The theme this time around is extremely simple: all three of us got a free pick of whatever favourite indie game we felt was the Vault's biggest outstanding omission to date. For Rebecca, that was archaeological adventure/hieroglyphic decryption puzzle game Heaven's Vault; for Liam, it was that surprisingly upbeat soulslike about reapers, aptly named Death's Door; and for Rachel, it was of course Cocoon — I mean, she literally wrote the book on it. (Pssst, go pre-order Rachel's upcoming book about Cocoon if you haven't already!) We end, as always, with our latest hyperfixations, and since we've been away for a month, it's a… diverse bunch for sure. Rachel has spent her recent holiday wisely by getting very into WWE (scandal noted), and in particular has identified her favourite wrestler as everyman Mick Foley (no scandals to note, turns out he's just lovely??). Liam has been playing a lot of AAAs recently, but neither Overwatch nor Pokémon Pokopia nor even Resident Evil Requiem have been enough to overshadow his newfound love for 2017 Canadian mockumentary sitcom Nirvanna The Band The Show. And Rebecca has belatedly been captivated by the strangely bland allure of Love & Deepspace's player housing update. Our music was written and performed by Ollie Newbury! Find him on Instagram at @newbsmusic. Meanwhile, you can find us at indieventurepodcast.co.uk or wherever you listen to podcasts. Don't forget that you can now join our dedicated Discord too, and be sure to check out our new Steam Curator page if you simply still can't get enough of us!

If you haven't heard of Nirvanna The Band The Show then you're doing yourself a disservice. I'm actually pretty shocked that both Jon and Scott aren't more familiar with it. Tracking down the Viceland episodes seems to be a bit of a trick these days but there is still a delightful fansite that has thoughtfully preserved the Nirvanna The Band webseries episodes for your enjoyment. If you have a chance to check out Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie in theaters I'm fairly sure you won't be disappointed. However, it was produced by Crave so if you have that service I'm sure you'll find it on streaming soon enough. While you're at it you should probably check out The Dirties, Operation: Avalanche and BlackBerry too. Since everything is fine in the world we spend some time talking about how CEOs eat their hamburgers. If you haven't seen the footage I think it's somehow both more and less cringe than you think it is. On first watch I thought it wasn't so bad, but then I watched it again and decided that the McDonald's CEO might not even be an actual human being. We talk about other stuff too. What jobs are going to be stolen by artificial intelligence, UFC BMF Champion Charles Oliveira and his entire leg-sleeve Pokemon tattoo, the Masters of the Universe movie trailer and Scott's dislike of medical dramas. Anyways, we spend this episode of Garbage Time talking about how much the sports writers for the Montreal Gazette kind of suck. That leads us towards the death of print media and how much we miss Vice Magazine. Not sure how we go from there to curling and ultra marathons but you know what? We do. If you would like to show your support and head over to Patreon and subscribe at the 9ES Deluxe tier to listen to this and all past episodes of Garbage Time that would be appreciated. Cor blimey, do we have a jam-packed episode to kick your year off with a geeky bang! Barry finds that Stranger Things can happen as Stacey espouses her enjoyment of Nirvanna The Band The Show, and the dynamic duo are absolutely returning in Avengers: Doomsday. All this, plus music from Nine Inch Nails and James Newton Howard, a bit of Benoit Blanc, and a (cautious) recommendation for Sorry, Baby. Grab a nice hot drink to warm your donnies, and enjoy!

This week Bradford brings us an episode of the Viceland comedy series "Nirvanna The Band The Show". The episode, titled "The Bean", follows its stars' attempt to sneak a float into the Toronto Christmas parade as a means of promoting their rock band that may or may not actually exist. Christmas gags abound on this episode, including a surprisingly detailed homage to the finer points of Home Alone, and The Usual Suspects (for some reason). Meanwhile, our hosts reminisce about their own experiences with Christmas parades, holiday TV, and more! Questions/Comments? For this episode I had a chat with DIY filmmaker Matt Johnson. Matt has found critical acclaim with his 2013 film The Dirties, a found-footage mockumentary film tackling the much discussed topic of gun control and bullying in a high school, which went on to win the Grand Jury Prize at the Slamdance Film Festival. His following film Operation Avalanche saw him and his team infiltrate NASA to shoot another found footage project based around the topic of the Apollo 11 moon landings. Were the moon landings fake? Watch the film AND YOU DECIDE. But most recently, he has co-written and starred in the Vice comedy series Nirvanna The Band The Show with Jay McCarrol, where he plays a helpless musician, possibly with a large chip in his brain coming up with plans and schemes to play at his favourite restaurant. Sit back to our chat with a martini and steak bake... For more updates follow the podcast on Instagram : https://www.instagram.com/thecupodcast/
Giving me a platform to talk about the work of director Matt Johnson was perhaps a mistake. It made him too happy. The opportunity to talk about Nirvanna The Band The Show, Operation Avalanche, AND The Dirties?! Madness. Hopefully you listeners can tell how much I like this guy and his guerrilla style of filmmaker and I hope you consider watching his TV shows or films. Canada! Whodathunk. Also we discuss the Atlanta Child Murders HBO doc for all you true crime podcast fanatics. I hear true crime is very hip with the kids these days.
Happy New Years Eve All! In this episode Tom & Craig take a look back at the year that was 2019. We reminisce over our personal highlights of the year, including our interview with Nirvanna The Band The Show, starting a zine and attempting to eat 100 chicken nuggets in an hour! We also take a look back at our broader pop-culture high points from the past 12 months, including our favourite movies, games, TV shows and more. Thanks for tuning in to UDS Radio this year, expect more but better in 2020!
John and Jude get together to discuss Anthony Daniel's book, hear Jude's opinion on the Mandalorian, John begs you all to check out Nirvanna The Band The Show and hear about Jude's car crash! Loads more besides. Recorded in an incredibly noisy branch of Bill's. Thanks Bill's.

Mike welcomes Max on the phone from Hamilton. Mike, Max and Shane discuss why Shane’s latest feature interview didn’t go as planned. Matt Johnson & Jay McCarrol (“Nirvanna The Band The Show”) tell Shane about building the series, pitching to Spike Jonze and Viceland, parody law, David Blaine, story, shooting without permission, music, improv, Nathan Fielder and their characters. For dessert, Shane presents a conversation with J.R. Digs recorded at Long Point Lodge where he describes their meeting at the MMVAs, giving Shane his first job in TV, Nathan Fielder, struggles with production costs, happiness and personal integrity.
