TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ TASHA SAFARI Tasha Safari - techno DJ and producer originally from Azerbaijan. Based in Berlin. Born in the small city of Ganja, Azerbaijan, Tasha Safari's musical journey began with the rich shades of Azerbaijani culture. Growing up in a nation known for its blend of Eastern and Western influences, she was exposed to a diverse range of sounds from an early age, from traditional Azerbaijani music to psychedelic rock and post-punk, absorbed into the rhythmic beats of folk instruments and the melodies of the mugham. Surrounded from an early age by the pulsating beats and innovative sounds that would soon become her lifelong passion, Tasha Safari showed a natural aptitude for music. Her fascination with electronic instruments and an unquenchable thirst for rhythm and melody led her to tinker with synthesizers and drum machines. Tasha Safari began her DJ career playing hip-hop and mixing it with electronic music. In search of a new sound she constantly experimented with different genres of music. Her sets are characterized by hypnotic, driving rhythms and blending various subgenres of techno, taking listeners on a journey through the full spectrum of electronic soundscapes. Over the years, Tasha performed at many venues in the CIS countries and collaborated with artists from different parts of the globe, further enriching her sound. Her partnerships with musicians, vocalists, and producers from diverse backgrounds not only expanded her musical horizons but also promoted cultural exchange and understanding through music. Latest of those collaborations: Bel Fort & Tasha Safari Disorder EP is coming soon in the beginning of 2024.Nowdays the next step of her music career is moving to Berlin. She already started to work on a new techno project in collaboration with Alessandro Adriani. They are working on new album and plan to focus on live performances. The Catholic Church was once one of the most powerful organizations in the world, controlling an insane amount of capital and power. Nowdays they aren't as dominant, but other big-time organization have for sure taken some pointers from them. In this video, Deezy breaks down the simularities between the church's reign and companies like Blackrock using old techniques to keep a firm grasp on the world.

Robbert-Jan vd Plas is a Dutch dj from Katwijk aan zee born in 1980. At the age of 9 he received his first 2 vinyls. Turn Up The Bass 1 and 2. It was the year 1989. First track he listened to was Pump Up The Jam, after the first beats he was hooked. Since then he was always listening to fresh new beats. In 1993 he decided to save the little money that he could get to buy the records that he liked and try to mix them. Starting with 1 turntable (Without pitch) and 1 cd player. 1 year later he visited his first houseparty (Nightmare in Rotterdam) and then he knew it, he wanted to be an dj. So from then on he bought more and more vinyl and at 14 got his first residency at a local youghtcentre. For 3 years he was the hardest dj there and from all over the village the young boys and girls came to dance on his Hardcore beats After that 3 years he stopped his residency and got his first gig at the HOUSE in SCUM party's in Katwijk and when he was around 20 years old he they asked him to be a resident at the party's once a month. He continued that untill 2011 when he was 31 years old. In between he played at a lot of small clubs and small party's in the whole of the Netherlands and a few in Begium and Germany also. Still only as an Amateur. In this period he also spinned at some local radioshows and even got an invite to play at the Old School Generation on Radio Fresh FM hosted by dj Norman where spinned some an vinyl Old School set. Also been a resident at D.O.T.F. radio. An internet old school radiostation where the rules are "Fuck Hokjes" so there will be mostly spinned underground old school records. Other residents of the show are dj Sneaky-d (founder of the staion), Jeff London, dj Vince an dj Stylo. Unfortunaly the show stopped after 10 years. Since 2011 things where running a bit slower due of the birth of his daughter Yara in november 2011, his son Finley in September 2013 and daughter Jaxy in februari 2015. Hey stopped with Scum in 2011 after an 11 year recidency. Bookings went down and he didn't preformed a lot after that. Few small party's like the Early Ravers United party's. Biggest gigs since then where Fucking Basterds in Culemburg in 2012 and Vinyl Syndrome V · Limita'd Edition Moscou Russia in 2016. Nowdays due of Facebook Groups and Facebook Live more and more sets are being braodcasted around the web. He has done 4 shows on Hard Shock radio Italy, mostly Early Hardcore. And multiple shows on Toxic Sickness since 2018. This was all as HAMdj and in the styles Hardcore, Early Hardcore, Hardstyle and Old School. 2018 he started a Podcast serie with a friend (dj Exomni) called The Dark Chronicles in courtesy of Annihilation. The Dark Chronicles offers mixes in the Harder Mainstream, Millenium, Crossbreed, Industrial and Doomcore. (No Uptemo or Terror!!) Brought by a variety of fine artists. But after discovering the Dark Techno at the end of 2018 he created this alter ego Viktor Gambon. And started a sideshow podcast called the Dark Techno Sessions. So pretty new to the Techno scene he is mixing this with his own vision. Not excluding anything. So influences from the Rave, Acid or Classic scene. Expect no limits or boundaries in his sets. They will go up and down but you never know when and where it will end! In curtesy of Toxic Sickness he, togheter with his good friend Denny Spek aka Spek FM, will create a new show called Classics, Techno, Rave & Bits. Where they will combine multiple styles and try to create an Dark Atmosfear in each set. Not refusing any style. But mostly it will be Slow and Dark. Social info. About Erast: Born in Romania, now living in Barcelona, he embraced the love for electronic music from an early age as an 80s kid, chasing anything electronica through mixtapes and late night radio shows. As the years passed, he developed a wide musical taste spectrum going from rave, drum and bass, jungle and big beat through the 90s, moving on to club and groove house, breaks and deep house in the early 2000s and the following years. Eventually he felt the need to express more then just listening to music. As a logical progression, in the early 2000s he had his first chance to touch the cdjs at a beach club called Enigma, by the seaside, in Mamaia beach located right next to the town's house music epicentre represented by Shark & Celentano beach where the town's first baby steps into pure electronica happened, nowdays the surrounding area is more known for the Sunwaves festival. He later got his own residency at Impala Club Café where the passion for vinyl was born. The club had an attic/loft full of vinyl crates from London that were begging for playing. Crate digging and vinyl DJing, pure Nirvana was one step away. Along the residency at Impala, he had summer long collaborations with Sun of The Beach beach club wich would later on turn into LUV Club in Constanta. It was a great experience as It allowed him to dj for crowds in the outdoors, something wich wasn't the case before. Nowdays he is getting more and more involved with the Barcelona dj and electronic music production scene. Visit his Facebook page to find out more about: https://www.facebook.com/oErast/

Nowdays, if you want to find out how long one metre is, you can use a tape measure or, if you are a scientist, you can calculate the distance that light travels in a vacuum in 1/299 792 458 seconds. But how did we decide on what length a metre should be in the first place? To follow the far-from-straight story of the metre Quentin Cooper is joined by Professor Robert Crease, historian of science at Stonybrook University in the USA; Professor Marc Himbert, Scientific director of the Metrology Laboratory at CNAM in Paris; and Dr. Jahnavi Phalkey, historian of contemporary and twentieth century science and technology at King's College in London. Rod-B.,Alvaro Garfunk bring you the Miami Underground Movement Jay Lumen… Music is part of his life since his childhood years. He learnt music in a conservatoire for eight years, which provides a good basis to his ambition of making music. During his schooldays it shown, that he rather turned the compositions of the classical authors to his own style, than he played the original versions of them. Although he learnt to play on a classical instrument – violin – he early recognized that his desire for creative work wasn’t satisfied with this instrument. Immediately he got his first computer, he started to make his ideas to be heard. In the meantime he started to get to know the synthetizator in the way of self-education. As he obtained the more developed technologies and softwares, developed himself with them, he got more and more closer to that sounding in which he felt himself familiar. Nowdays he is the one of fastest developer new generation DJ/Producers.
