Curated metaverse platform Metropolis World engages Flare as a key interoperability partner powering seamless movement between different metaverses and blockchains Metropolis World, a soon to launch curated metaverse platform, announces a partnership with Flare, a new blockchain which enables secure decentralized interoperability between chains and metaverses. Flare's blockchain technology will allow for the seamless movement by users between different metaverse ecosystems and blockchains, such as Decentraland and Sandbox, which is a key aspect of Metropolis' vision for the metaverse. The Flare partnership means that Metropolis World becomes a one stop destination as it now has a bridge into other metaverses. Metropolis users will be able to move into other worlds easily without borders. Metropolis World differentiates itself from other metaverse platforms due to its design aesthetic: its cities are created digitally by hand and every property is a unique standalone piece of art. Unlike the majority of NFT collections Metropolis is not utilizing generative art to create the actual cities. The real-world ecosystem is already developed as it has formed partnerships with a wide range of high-profile ambassadors from the worlds of music, art, gaming, NFT, crypto and business whom it is calling founding citizens. Today I'm joined by DJ, producer and multimedia artist Rashid Ajami.    Now Rashid has been releasing music for well over a decade on the likes of Armada, Anjunadeep, Get Physical and Einmusika to name a few, but the road to releasing on these top labels was far from plain sailing…   Like most producers, Rashid has had to deal with his own fair share of rejection, creative blocks and harsh self-criticism. Rashid Ajami's favorite sip is a glass of Sake. Although there are plenty of various styles, the Japanese national drink made from rice is usually rich in texture and has a unique subtlety of flavour. And we completely see similarities to Rashid's beautiful music. Since his emergence in 2012 was instantly spotted by the likes of Maya Jane Coles and Ramon Tapia whose remixes featured on his first release, Rashid has steadily released critically acclaimed tracks on labels such as AnjunaDeep, Eklektish, Einmusika and Noir. He and Julia Govor released ‘A Regret’, a much admired four tracker, while 2017 saw his collab with Nathan Daisy, ‘Dance Pain’, on Noir’s Dark Stars 003 Compilation and singled out by Pete Tong for BBC Radio 1. DJ gigs included Mysteryland festival, New York’s Marquee et al. Last year he added Get Physical, Tube & Berger’s ZEHN, Tale & Tone, and Blufin to his imprint portfolio, putting a renewed wholehearted focus on music after the multitalented producer, unusually, took a brief break from the DJ booth to build a successful tech business. Now having achieved material success and a solid back catalogue of releases, Rashid is passionate about producing music for its quality and ability to inspire dreams and emotion. ‘If I can achieve that goal with even one listener, I’m happy. I want to be true and honest with what I make.’ As a DJ, he loves to play long sets, around 6 hours, to craft the best and most emotionally resonant journeys for the crowd, while at the same time choosing records for their dance vibe – if a track makes him feel like dancing, it’ll get the crowd moving too. Reluctant to be pinned down to a genre, style or niche, he allows his music to evolve naturally. Appropriately therefore, though obsessed with music since childhood- playing piano and violin since he was 8 – he loved all genres and rejects the idea of any specific influences. ‘I used to freestyle, breakdance and bought my first techno album at 12! I still freestyle for my friends over a hip hop instrumental when we are chilling.’ At university in the US, he began making his own music through such simple beginnings as Garageband and Logic, finding that his natural talent and feel for a vibe resulted in tracks which made a lasting impact. 
Now in talks with big name galleries, Rashid plans a suite of original digital artworks with music: some big scale multimedia immersive installations involving other artists are also in progress. There will also be an intriguing series of limited vinyl releases as artwork. With an increasingly exciting year ahead full of new releases and new terrain to explore as DJ, producer and artist, 2021 marks a musical renaissance for Rashid Ajami. Aleksandar Jugovic, better known as Alexander de Funk – ADF is a real ambassador of electronic sound and music in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is active as a DJ since 2007. In his relative short DJ career he played in the most Bosnia and Herzegovina cities and towns, bigger and smaller clubs, several festivals, worked with many world know brands and organizations. He played his sets at well known places such as: Hacienda, Rooms, Sloga, Pink P, Golden, Papaya, Santos, Jazz Club, La Playa, Hol, Exit, Vertigo, Casino and many more. He also played at many recognized festivals: Hilton, Adrenalin 2012, 2013, ST, EDM Maraton and others. Alexander de Funk is the resident DJ for Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Wonderland Serbia Festival 2014 and he is playing a tour for them, and the Snow Boom Festival Jahorina 2015. He gets his affirmation on the Adrenalin DJ Fest – contest where he makes the third position among 20 contestants from all over the country, sings a half professional contract with GuideLine agency and from then he steps in the world of high class entertainers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He worked abroad also, including Bosnia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Montenegro. He is well known for his energetic House, Tech House and Progressive sets. Alexander worked with some global recognized artists such as: Arisen Flame, Joey Suki, Deep Josh, Alexander Jordan, Rocca, Chris Mosgad, Moevv, Manga, Trance Port, Marko Gartner, Igor Garnier, Worda etc. Nowdays, he is fully into Djing, producing and promoting house music at a regional level. En Mai fais ce qu'il te plaît! (2014 Edition)  French Proverb which literally means " In May do what pleases you"..    Every year, on my birthday, I put something together .. for myself.. It does not infer that this set is in anyway better or that the tunes are "special" just that I know I will want to enjoy it later on day most probably in hotel room or on the plane or god forbid maybe walking or running somewhere.. Set may not be as polished as other uploads or may contain tracks I have used before. I may just have wanted to hear different cuts or indulge in some gratuitous Xtian’s trademarks vocal edits, who knows? It is first and foremost for ME !! I won’t wax lyrical on it, I have dozen of similar sets that will never see the light of day. Sometimes because they are simply not good enough or because I got bored along the line (“God is a DJ” springs to mind). This one, because I played with it around my birthday, gets to be published. A deep, indie, progressive offer, very much the sound I feel comfortable with currently. One last word on my birthday.. Best present ever was to see my kids, niece and nephew dance crazy to the Fade/Your’ve Got the Love edits of my last live set.. Jon Cutler        Highlights:  I won’t go overboard with this section. One common thread is the immaculate production of ALL the tracks. If you do not have a good sound system, this set requires good headphones..  Love the first track “Come On Now Set if Off”.. It has swag very much what Tube & Berger are all about. The Giom jam “Red Light” is probably the best track of the lot. I love “Canto del Pilon” and can’t wait to see the reaction of my kids to this one.. I very rarely touch Latin rhythms. I hope they will get it. “It Really Hurts” needs a mention for the subtlety of the production and the very distinct Dido feel to it. Pre-emptive apologies for the “Mirage” mash-up. I am sure someone with talent could do better but it is my birthday after all.. “Big Fun”, Kevin Saunderson, Inner City .. House royalty.. and if any Dl is reading this.. it begs to be mixed n with Touch me in the morning.. I did not do because it would have taken the set to another direction but it will work, trust me..   That’s it.   Not quite sure what will come next. Introspection 2.0   Same spirit as the first iteration. Deep, slightly down tempoIndie and dark progressive House driven by big bass lines and (I hope ) original eclectic melodies.   Except for the Lana track which I picked up from Introspection 1.0, the set has a clear continental European feel. The artists and remixers are mostly from Northern Europe. The production is distinctively Nordic or German. I used no Latin flair nor samples and tried to concentrate on the mixing only.   Official thanks to Lars, who sent me some German tunes. Not only do I love them but it has opened a new direction for seeking new sounds. Lars, I am very grateful.   A word on the passing of Frankie Knuckles:  In the near future I will (how could I not?) fittingly mark the occasion with hopefully a live set at home with friends. Should the result be good enough I will upload the set. Reading the posts from the average punter like me and from DJs  he influenced or supported during his career, the common thread was on how much joy and what a nice gentle man he was. Whatever I’ll do, shall reflect the joy and gentleness. The Peacemaker Project     Highlights: Started where I left it with “Summertime Sadness” which turns out to be one of the weakest tracks of the set. A bit lazy of me.. Begining  the big bass line theme with Andrey Exx's great remix of the classic “ Be Good”. Whoever is the vocalist is amazing and I love the atmosphere the production has achieved. Continuing with the male vocalist of the same classic, this was a fluke but a happy one. “Be Good to Me” by Croatia Squad. Listen from the break at 15:36 and be in bliss with the disco keys they have introduced in what was a rather dark and progressive rendition. With the nest track “Feel Good” the set is at cruising spend. The Moe Turk Remix of the Ran Salman and Ordonez track is just top shelf progressive indie house. “Never You Mind” by Kant..  I LOVE anything Kant is currently producing.. From Denmark, those gys are subtle, inspired.. Released in 2014, this is going straight into my top ten.. Do not miss!! In case you did not get the heavy hint DO NOT MISS!! And maybe, just maybe buy the track on Beatport.. “Mirage” by Vanilla Ace. From London, very talented, remixers of Basement Jaxx and Nora en Pure. “Mirage” is again key and bass driven with a voice sample ( did not even had to had it).. I t is so easy to listen to and yet so intricate. Deep, Progressive or Chill you choose. “Barfuss auf Wolken” from KlangKueunstler .. which translates (I think) as “Walking Barefoot on the Cloud”.. My niece recognized the sample from somewhere, I didn’t.. Thank you Lars. Indie German track, with great guitar, showing how fusion should be done.. Happy tune! “Come with Me” sexy deep house based again on a big bass line, perfect percussions and synths pas in what is for me the perfect key for deep house (Gm). Hot since 82 serving up the remix. Sexy track .. “Come with Me, Close your eyes and kisssss me …” The Kant remix of “Everyday Everynight” if ever there was a track which dropped naturally, this was the one.. It is everything I attempted to make you feel here.. And again the Danes are showing how music can be clever and fully enjoyable.. If this is Indie.. well, I love Indie.. Amber Jolene with Nolan on the vocals.. “Everybody Wants Something”.. you know the track, Akabu is really smashing it recently and this remix is both a bit challenging and immensely sexy!   ATTENTION TOP TRACK !!.. The Maja Jane Coles remix of “Rule the World”.. If the Doors where performing today this would be what they would sound like.. Driving, melodic and the dimension  Maya Jane Coles has given the track is unmistakable. Love it!! As for Maya Janes Coles, she is firmly in my top ten current DJ and actually one of the very few, for whom I would move mountains to see and hear. Great talent!   “Wir Sind Frei” from the Peacemaker Project..
