As heart-warming ends to a series go, they don't get much more heart-warming than this episode.Hypo Hounds is a diabetic alert assistance charity, helping children with type 1 diabetes by training assistance dogs to not only detect hypos, fetch testing kits or even bring a bottle of Lucozade, but helping children to live with more independence and freedom, and families to communicate better and feel less burdened by the challenges of type 1 diabetes. The woman behind Hypo Hounds is today's guest, Jane Pearman. Jane and her husband trained their first hypo dog, Scooby, to help their daughter Sophie after she was diagnosed with brittle type 1 diabetes as well as other major health complications at the age of 9. At the time Jane was checking Sophie's blood sugars every hour through the night, feeling understandably frightened and exhausted. They didn't know it at the time, but Scooby would inspire the journey to founding Hypo Hounds, which has now trained 54 dogs to date, reducing hospital admissions and giving children and their families much-needed independence and relief from the burden of living with diabetes. Thanks to the help of Scooby and her second Hypo Hound Dori, Sophie, now 22, lives independently and remains an incredible spokesperson for the charity. Patrick Sapp played football at Clemson, and now he's watching his 19-year-old son Josh play football at Clemson. What makes it most special is Patrick's 7-year-old son Miles gets to watch it all as the family makes memories of a lifetime. Sapp rejoins The Dubcast to talk about his six years on the football staff at Greenville High School, and why he chose to give it up after last season. Sapp's role as a television personality is going to increase moving forward as he contributes to FOX Carolina in various ways. Sapp also keeps close tabs on Clemson football, and he was in attendance when Trent Pearman stole the show at last week's spring game. Sapp believes Cade Klubnik will maintain his hold on the starting role, but he said Pearman's performance does make things more interesting in the Tigers' quarterback room. He also gives high marks to Dabo Swinney's hire of Matt Luke and Chris Rumph, who have brought more energy and fire to the program. "We've got to get back to the basics and the grind," he said. "We've got to be tougher. We've got to be better. We've got to be stronger. We've got to be more disciplined, and we've got to play with an attitude. I think that was the emphasis for the hires. ... You bring in guys who have the experience, who have the confidence, who have the moxie to walk out every day and challenge their players, challenge the attitude of the team. "If you watch them practice, you can see that Nick Eason, Coach Rumph and coach Luke are his attitude guys. Those are the guys who are setting the attitude and the tone for everybody. I think Coach Swinney understood he needed that on his staff."

Raven-Symoné (That's So Raven, Raven's Home, The View, Cosby Show) & her wife Miranda Pearman-Maday (content creator, producer, writer, doula) join us to discuss defense mechanisms, their individual therapy journeys, and the confining nature of labels when it comes to sexuality and gender. They explain how their sexualities protected their true identities and their struggles with depression. Raven opens up about her past relationships with people with narcissistic tendencies, her parents' reservations about therapy, and her PTSD and anger challenges. She and Mayim bond over their strikingly similar coping mechanisms from having grown up as child actors, their abilities to read others, and how celebrity can heighten people-pleasing tendencies. Miranda reveals how somatic therapy has helped her, and Raven shares her positive experiences with shadow and energy work.Raven & Miranda's YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@8pm890BialikBreakdown.comYouTube.com/mayimbialik

In this episode of the Distillery Nation Podcast, I had the absolute pleasure of talking with Maria Pearman. Maria is a CPA with over 15 years of deep operational accounting experience. She recently published Distillery Finance, so this was a great opportunity to have her talk about some of the foundational concepts, like good debt, bad debt, line of credits, most common finance mistakes distilleries make, the importance of building a cash flow forecast and so much more, a full packed podcast with a lot of information for running a successful distillery.
