Alexander Wennerberg is CEO & Founder at Hives.co where he is passionate about helping organizations tap into their teams' best ideas and turn them into real improvements. Mike Petrusky asks Alexander why he believes that innovation is most effective when it empowers those closest to workplace problems to propose and implement solutions, rather than relying solely on top-down initiatives. They explore how facility management and real estate teams should focus on making their "invisible" work more visible, so they are recognized as value drivers rather than cost centers. Alexander says that organizations should treat workplaces as ongoing experiments, valuing continuous feedback from those who use the space rather than just executives and AI should be used to organize and surface employee feedback, not replace the genuine human observations and experiences that drive workplace progress. Successful change management treats employees as active participants rather than passive recipients while it encourages engagement and trust, so Mike and Alexander offer the practical advice and the inspiration you need to be a Workplace Innovator in your organization! Ep 260 “The CottageCore AR-15” – National Gun Violence Awareness Month (Bullet Poof Bulletins) Celebrating the launch of eco-fiction anti-gun novella Bullet Poof and National Gun Violence Awareness Month, Avis Kalfsbeek brings back beloved Kitty O'Compost with the Bullet Poof Bulletins. Tonight on the Spoke-Easy stage, Kitty O'Compost deconstructs a truly bizarre update from the suburban backyard horticultural circuit. This bulletin satirizes an absolute logistical stir on Magnolia Lane, where a resident attempted a social experiment by bringing a highly customized rifle platform—the CottageCore AR-15—to a neighborhood garden club meeting. Refinished in matte sage green with hand-painted floral engravings and a custom tweed shoulder strap, the weapon was placed right next to heirloom tomato seedlings in an effort to launder an industry of fear by wrapping it in a cozy Pinterest aesthetic. Inspired by the grounding, collaborative themes of Bullet Poof, this episode laughs at this astonishing piece of self-delusion and reminds us that true safety is found when we stop investing in the profit of pain and start building relaxed community connection. Tonight on the Spoke-Easy stage, Kitty O'Compost breaks down a leaked corporate rebranding strategy that attempts to launder military hardware with a rustic aesthetic. This bulletin satirizes the weapon industry's use of heritage marketing and walnut wood paneling to rebrand tactical platforms as "wholesome, organic Americana." Inspired by the grounding, transformative themes of Bullet Poof, this episode laughs at the corporate attempt to camouflage violence with artisanal style and points us back to the real heritage found in creative community spaces. In this episode of Honey Bee Obscura, Jim Tew heads into the bee yard to check on five package colonies installed earlier in the spring. What begins as a routine inspection quickly becomes a reminder of how rapidly healthy colonies can develop during a favorable season. Each colony is thriving, filling its equipment and signaling that additional space will soon be needed to prevent overcrowding and potential swarming. Jim also revisits a topic familiar to many beekeepers: heavily propolized colonies. After several challenging years that limited regular hive inspections, he discusses the realities of managing frames that have become firmly glued in place. This leads to a field test of an oscillating multi-tool as a possible aid for cutting through propolis and freeing stuck frames. Working directly in the apiary, Jim evaluates whether the tool offers practical value or is simply another interesting beekeeping experiment. Along the way, he shares observations about package colony growth, the effects of warm weather on propolis consistency, the challenges of working with plastic frames in heavily propolized colonies, and his continuing curiosity about beekeepers who successfully manage colonies in a single deep brood chamber. As always, Jim combines practical observations, honest field notes, and thoughtful questions from a lifetime of beekeeping experience. ______________________ Thanks to Betterbee for sponsoring today's episode. Ep 249 “The Great Man Card Inflation Crisis” – National Gun Violence Awareness Month (Bullet Poof Bulletins) Celebrating the launch of eco-fiction anti-gun novella Bullet Poof and National Gun Violence Awareness Month, Avis Kalfsbeek brings back beloved Kitty O'Compost with the Bullet Poof Bulletins. Tonight on the Spoke-Easy stage, Kitty O'Compost takes aim at the toxic marketing engine of Bush-Mastery Masculinity. This bulletin satirizes the corporate emergency of "Man Card" devaluation, exposing how the defense industry commodifies identity and targets consumer insecurities to sell high-capacity weapons. Inspired by the Melt Zone themes of Bullet Poof, this episode tears down the synthetic identity offered by corporate branding and points us back to the real strength found in collaborative, grassroots community spaces. Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows!   This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track!   Check out today's questions:    Emma: Hi Dr Cabral! I have a question regarding the sclera of the eye. I have never had really nice white sclera, even though I do seasonal FM detoxes (8 years now), coffee enemas, gallbladder flushes etc (I am an IHP2) I have also run my genetics, and I have 'optimal' detox genes. I was wondering how much of this is genetic as my parents are the same. They are definitely not yellow, but they're just not bright white. I consider myself healthy. I have had mold toxicity, heavy metals, candida/bacterial overgrowth in the past, but I think I have cleared most of it all out although I would like to retest soon. I have friends who have the whitest scleras even though they've never done any detoxing in their life :) Would love your thoughts and thank you for being such an incredible teacher!       Stacey: Hi Dr.Cabral! I'm almost done with my IHP2 & I'm constantly researching things. Lately I've been reading a lot about B1 and its benefits for people who suffer from ibs, diabetes, thyroid issues etc. Now I know the question is..why are we all so low in b1 to begin with? But I'd like to get your thoughts on this recent rise in b1 popularity. Is it something to consider or just another trending supplement and are there benefits to taking benfotiamine vs thiamine? Thanks so much! Hope you're doing well.      Darrel: Hey, Dr Cabral. I saw a report stating the leading cause of throat cancer in the USA is now HPV mainly from performing oral sex. Not tobacco. Not alcohol. Aside abstention, is there any means to prevent that from happening? I'm seeing most practitioners recommending HPV vaccine. Will that be necessary?      Nicole: Hi Dr. Cabral, I am a 41 year old female. I listen to your podcast daily and just ordered my 7 day detox, I cannot wait to start it. My question is.. what do you think I should do for my symptoms? I have a ferritin level of 5 and I am already taking iron(bovine)For the last few months I have had unexplained hives. I get them out of nowhere sometimes when I hold something on my arm or something is tight on my body. I have also had a swollen lymph node for about 5 months and have been to several doctors. No answers. I had a positive ANA test, however all the other tests for autoimmune came back negative. The ENT is not concerned about the lymph node said it is not that enlarged. But I feel it and it bothers me. I take your Berberine, B complex and Infla-sooth. Along with iron and Glutathione     Grace: How do I know if I'm over-supplementing? I take a whole list of supplements with each meal. It seems like 40% of my water intake throughout the day is just to take supplements. Especially with breakfast (as I take the supplements one at a time). At breakfast, I take iron (dried beef liver), fish oil, vitamin B complex, methyl folate, myoinositol (for insulin resistance due to PCOS), a probiotic, fiber and vitamin D. Dinner has the myoinositol, fiber, and iron. Lunch has the fiber and iron plus a multivitamin, vitamin C, n-acetyl cysteine, and a turmeric supplement. It seems like a lot. Am I over-supplementing?      Thank you for tuning into today's Cabral HouseCall and be sure to check back tomorrow where we answer more of our community's questions!      - - - Show Notes and Resources: StephenCabral.com/3739 - - - Get a FREE Copy of Dr. Cabral's Book: The Rain Barrel Effect - - - Join the Community & Get Your Questions Answered: CabralSupportGroup.com - - - Dr. Cabral's Most Popular At-Home Lab Tests: > Complete Minerals & Metals Test (Test for mineral imbalances & heavy metal toxicity) - - - > Complete Candida, Metabolic & Vitamins Test (Test for 75 biomarkers including yeast & bacterial gut overgrowth, as well as vitamin levels) - - - > Complete Stress, Mood & Metabolism Test (Discover your complete thyroid, adrenal, hormone, vitamin D & insulin levels) - - - > Complete Food Sensitivity Test (Find out your hidden food sensitivities) - - - > Complete Omega-3 & Inflammation Test (Discover your levels of inflammation related to your omega-6 to omega-3 levels) - - - Get Your Question Answered On An Upcoming HouseCall: StephenCabral.com/askcabral - - - Would You Take 30 Seconds To Rate & Review The Cabral Concept? In this episode of Let's Clear the Air!, Dr. Phil Jones and host Marcella Feathers discuss the differences between hives (urticaria) and eczema, how the conditions often diminish patients' quality of life, and how several effective treatment options are now available. Dr. Jones shares the differences between allergically triggered and chronic urticaria and eczema. He explains how each one presents on the skin, how long they last, and how patients can break the itch-scratch cycle through a variety of treatment options. One of the most effective options he describes is biologics, which Dr. Jones says has helped tremendously, causing some patients to declare them as life-changing.  Most importantly, Dr. Jones emphasizes the importance of letting eczema and urticaria patients know they are not alone – and do not need to suffer anymore!

Mo explains the economics behind the industry, the challenges facing American beekeepers, and how foreign honey impacts local producers. Beyond business, Mo shares her journey into grassroots politics, detailing how local involvement can create real change from the ground up. From county-level organizing to working alongside elected officials, she breaks down how everyday people can step into leadership and influence the direction of their communities. What does it really mean to put new bees into old equipment—and what does that decision say about how we keep bees? In this episode of Honey Bee Obscura, Dr. Jim Tew takes a broader, more reflective look at a common springtime practice. Using the simple scenario of installing new bees into old hives, Jim explores the practical, experiential, and sometimes philosophical aspects of beekeeping. While equipment reuse is part of the discussion, the deeper focus is on how beekeepers make decisions—often balancing thrift, convenience, experience, and risk. Jim reflects on the realities of older equipment, including wear, unknown history, and potential lingering issues, but he avoids prescribing rigid rules. Instead, he emphasizes that beekeeping decisions are rarely absolute. What works for one beekeeper—or one season—may not work the same way under different conditions. This Plain Talk episode highlights how experience shapes judgment over time. New beekeepers may look for clear right-or-wrong answers, while more experienced beekeepers learn to weigh trade-offs and accept uncertainty as part of the craft. At its core, this discussion is less about woodenware and more about mindset—how beekeepers approach their colonies, make decisions, and gradually develop confidence through observation and experience. ______________________ Thanks to Betterbee for sponsoring today's episode. Chronic hives that come and go without warning are exhausting physically and emotionally. But here is something many patients don't realize: feeling "okay" is not the same as being well controlled. Kortney and Dr. Gupta are joined by Dr. Tom Chacko, a board-certified allergist and immunologist based in Atlanta, to discuss what good hives control actually looks like and what to do when you are not there yet. From "just living with" your condition to managing a bad flare, tracking your symptoms, and preparing for your follow-up appointment, this episode gives you the tools to stop just coping and start getting better care. What we cover in our episode about what chronic hives control looks like: Chronic spontaneous urticaria. The plain-language definition of CSU, including why hives appear without a clear trigger and what angioedema is. The trap of normalizing symptoms. Why patients adjust their lives around hives without realizing it, and how to spot the signs that your condition is not actually controlled. How to track your hives. Why symptom tracking helps with diagnosis and better care, and how to use tools like the UAS7 score. What to bring to your follow-up appointment. The concrete information your doctor needs to work with you to find the best treatment plan. This includes information about sleep, daily activity, and medication side effects. How to ask for more help. What to say when antihistamines are not enough, and what newer treatment options exist for CSU patients today. Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend!   I'm looking forward to sharing with you some of our community's questions that have come in over the past few weeks…   Sarah: Hi Dr. Cabral. Thank you for all you do! Every time I get a cold or virus I break out in full body hives and it takes my body weeks to reset. I've tried your 21DD but seem to be really sensitive to herbal supplements. (Lots of reactions) Please help!      Mohamed: Hey Dr.Cabral, 2 part question. Firstly, how are you? Where are you in terms of your overall well-being. I know you get a lot of baggage trying to help others! Just wanted to let you know You helped me a lot. Thought I'd ask, how is your well-being. My secondary question is about water pH, I have an under sink AquaTru without the alkaline remineralization. I sometimes add mineral drops.. wondering about optimal pH range for water. No Kangen yet haha it's expensive for a college student!      Jenny: Hi Dr. Cabral - I know you have given recommendations in the past for the community to look into biological dentists, especially when it comes to removing past fillings, alternatives to root canals, etc. What about for regular 6 month check ups and cleanings? If we continue to go to a "regular" dentist for those visits, what is your recommendation about the dental x-rays they require? Thank you!     Anonymous:  Hi Dr. Cabral - I have a question about eye health. My father had Glaucoma which eventually led to full blindness. His eye doctor prescribed multiple eye drops to help maintain the eye pressure to help delay the progression, but he was on those for probably 20-30 years (Lumigan, Alphagan, Cosopt). My eye doctor is watching the pressure in my eyes and would like me to begin drops, as the pressure is higher than the "normal" range. I don't want to use drops, but also want to maintain eye health. I follow your protocols, including 2 Omega 3 soft gels and the Daily Vision and Eye Health. Do you have any other recommendations? Is Inflamma Soothe something I should take on an ongoing basis, as well? Thank you for all that you do.      Dyan: Hello! Thank you so much for all you do! My boyfriend was diagnosed at 26 with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, with him being so young there are great chances he will go into remission in five years or so and stop his medication. Doctors say CML is a genetic mutation but I know most cancers are from environmental factors. He's taking 50mg of a TKI inhibitor pill daily (considered chemo). I don't feel confident enough in my knowledge to have him stop his chemo pill just yet, but I know we would both love for him to stop it. What is your thought on Ivermectin for cancers patients? I have read it would respond great with his medication. He is super open to anything I've suggested whether it's diet changes or supplements. What supplements or action should we be sure to take?    Thank you for tuning into this weekend's Cabral HouseCalls and be sure to check back tomorrow for our Mindset & Motivation Monday show to get your week started off right! - - - Show Notes and Resources: StephenCabral.com/3684 - - - Get a FREE Copy of Dr. #147 -The REMIX Trial: Remibrutinib for Chronic Hives

If you have chronic hives and antihistamines aren't helping, there's a new treatment option to know about. In this episode of The Itch Review, we spotlight "Remibrutinib in Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria" published in The New England Journal of Medicine, March 2025. This article looks at the REMIX trials, which tested whether remibrutinib, a BTK inhibitor, can help adults whose chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) is not controlled by antihistamines alone. Remibrutinib works differently from antihistamines. Instead of blocking histamine after it's released, it stops mast cells from releasing those itch-causing chemicals in the first place. The FDA approved remibrutinib in September 2025.  What we cover in our episode about the REMIX trial: Understanding CSU: Chronic spontaneous urticaria causes itchy hives and swelling for more than 6 weeks with no clear trigger, and antihistamines don't work for everyone. How remibrutinib works: This BTK inhibitor stops mast cells from releasing chemicals like histamine, rather than blocking histamine after it's already released. Why do two identical trials: Running the same study twice (REMIX-1 and REMIX-2) with different patients helps prove the results are real, not a fluke. Key results: About half of patients reached well-controlled disease, and about 1 in 3 became completely clear of hives and itch. Safety and side effects: Petechiae (tiny dots of bleeding under the skin) were the main thing to watch for, but most cases were mild and went away on their own. This is the episode I've been thinking about for months. The Kouri Richins trial just started in Utah. The headlines are all about the fentanyl, the children's book about grief, the alleged affair. But nobody's talking about what Eric Richins actually lived through—the years of psychological warfare before the night prosecutors say she killed him.According to court documents, Eric discovered Kouri had allegedly stolen nearly half a million dollars from him. Forged his signature. Drained his accounts. He confronted her. She promised to pay it back. She allegedly never did.He consulted divorce attorneys. Changed his will in secret. Created a trust so Kouri could never control his assets. Warned his family: if anything happens to me, she's to blame. And then—on Valentine's Day 2022—he ate one bite of a sandwich she left him. Hives. Couldn't breathe. Used his son's EpiPen. Called a friend and said: "I think my wife tried to poison me."Eighteen days later, he was dead.So why didn't he leave? Because he had three boys under ten. And there's no custody arrangement that protects kids from a parent whose mind doesn't work like yours. Eric stayed close because he thought staying was safer than leaving. He was wrong. This episode is for everyone who's ever lived with someone whose reality didn't match theirs. Who questioned their own sanity. Who stayed too long because leaving felt more dangerous than staying.Eric Richins deserves to be more than a true crime headline. He deserves to be a warning.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
