In this episode, Junior explores a truth that many people discover only after looking back on their lives: God has a sense of humor. Sometimes the path to your dreams doesn't look anything like you imagined it would. Along the way, you may find yourself doing things you never expected to do, facing challenges you never anticipated, and learning lessons that keep you grounded and humble.Junior explains that one of the biggest mistakes people make is trying to figure out how their dreams will happen. As he often says, the “how” is God's job. Your job is to know what you want, understand why you want it, and stay committed to the vision. The details of how it unfolds are often beyond your understanding in the moment, but they make perfect sense in hindsight. He also shares an important principle: if you're too big for the small things, you're too small for the big things. Many of life's greatest opportunities come disguised as small tasks, humble beginnings, or unexpected detours. The people who succeed are often the ones willing to do what others overlook. Humility, patience, and persistence are essential ingredients in the manifestation process. At the heart of it all is intention. Junior explains that when your heart is in the right place and your intentions are good, positive outcomes naturally follow. You cannot plant seeds of negativity and expect a harvest of abundance. Likewise, when you act from sincerity, faith, and purpose, life has a way of opening doors that you never could have opened yourself. Trust the process, trust your path, and let God handle the rest.If you'd like to work with Junior, visit www.hereforyoulifecoaching.com to learn more. Here For You Life Coaching is a Voicemaster Enterprises LLC company. © 2026 All Rights Reserved.

Does God have a sense of humor? We say yes, and we don't have to stretch to prove it. The Bible has moments that are blunt, witty, and surprisingly funny, and those moments can do more than make us smile. They can remind us that God meets us in real life, with real emotions, and still brings hope. We start with a line from Joshua that feels almost like divine understatement, then move to Psalm 126 where laughter shows up as a sign of restoration. From there, we visit Job, not to minimize suffering, but to notice how even in hardship Scripture captures sharp honesty and memorable one-liners. Job's responses to his friends sound like something you'd quote today, and that's part of what makes God's Word feel so alive. Then we turn to Solomon, where Proverbs offers vivid, almost comedic images about conflict, words, and home life, and Song of Solomon delivers compliments that would land very differently in 2026. The big takeaway is practical and searchable: biblical joy, Christian encouragement, and daily faith are deeply connected, and “a cheerful heart is good medicine” for stress, anxiety, and a heavy spirit. If you need a quick, uplifting start, press play, then subscribe, share with a friend, and leave a review. What's the funniest line of Scripture you've ever noticed? We would love to hear your comments. Send us a Text MessageSupport the show

Let's talk about the Fed Chair and I having the same sense of humor....
Mike Chaput bought his first company at 24, went bankrupt at 28, and started over. When he co-founded Endsight, he and his partners worked hard to establish company values -- and landed on one that sounded great: "Have a sense of humor and take enjoyment from the day." The problem? Elevating humor to the top of the values hierarchy gave permission for blame-based behaviors, including a rubber chicken shaming ritual where the chicken got hung on the cubicle of anyone who made a mistake. Episode page with video, transcript, links and more The turning point came when Mike encountered W. Edwards Deming's work at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and a sales leader told him bluntly that the organization felt like it was always looking for someone to blame. Deming's Point 8 -- drive fear out of the workplace -- made it clear: humor without respect underneath it creates the conditions for people to hide problems from leadership. Mike shares the framework he now uses to test whether values are actually working, how Endsight replaced blame with problem registers, value stream managers, and A3 thinking, and why command-and-control leadership turns teams into panicked prey animals instead of coordinated predators. Drawing on Primed to Perform by Doshi and McGregor, he explains the motive spectrum from play to inertia -- and why fear-based management guarantees low performance.
In this episode, we continue our conversation about the role of Organization Development in unsettled times. Last time we explored what it means to act hopeful when it's hard to feel hopeful. This time we go a step further: How do you show up when things feel uncertain—and still make a positive difference? We draw inspiration from Margaret Wheatley's book Who Do We Choose To Be?, which offers a powerful historical perspective on how societies and systems evolve—and what that might mean for the world we're navigating today. If we understand these patterns, leaders and OD practitioners can better assess what is actually happening around them—and more importantly, decide how they want to respond. In our conversation we explore the practical ways leaders can show up in difficult moments: • Strengthening connection when people feel fragmented • Choosing love over fear in how we lead • Maintaining a willingness to contribute, even when outcomes are uncertain • And yes—keeping a sense of humor along the way Because in challenging times, leadership isn't about waiting for optimism. It's about generating it.

And the angel answered him [Zechariah], “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news. And behold, you will be silent and unable to speak until the day that these things take place, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their time.” (Luke 1:19-20)
The path of awakening is often treated as serious business for serious people. This approach can make us rigid about our experience of reality, when what we want to develop is greater flexibility, appreciation, and openness to ouselves and others. For that, we need the path to include a great sense of humor. So when is the spiritual path funny? When is humor an obstacle or a neurotic defense mechanism? How can comedy point us toward Ultimate Truth? In this solo episode, Ethan explores where comedy and humor aid the path, where they might lead us astray, and why you should crack up every once in a while on your meditation seat. God's timing, humor, and consistency are too perfect to miss. This episode dives deep into the divine alignment between Scripture, music, and memory—showing that you can't make this stuff up. When songs from Maverick City Music—“Too Good to Not Believe,” “Refiner,” and “Kingdom” featuring the lyric “Do you wanna know what Heaven looks like? It's looking like me and you”—randomly shuffled into my quiet time, it felt like heaven itself was speaking. In this powerful reflection, I share how Proverbs 10, my parents' timeless wisdom, and a “random” playlist all collided to prove one truth: God's consistency is undefeated. Verse after verse reminds us that righteousness brings joy, diligence beats laziness, and wisdom invites discipline. My mom used to say, “Count your many blessings, name them one by one,” and my pops would remind me, “Boy, you're the greatest—so act accordingly.” Turns out, they were echoing what God wrote 3,000 years ago.

Today's podcast is a reflection on a note I observed in my latest quarterly review. My sense of humor has evolved and changed over the years, ebbing and flowing in unique ways since my childhood. It has pivoted, shrunk, and now expanded, which I am grateful for. I share how it has evolved and how my time in Brazil expanded it for the better in this episode. I hope you find it interesting to listen to and that it may prompt some reflection of your own. Thanks for listening. As always, Much Love ❤️ and please take care.

"Jesus surely has a sense of humor," Pastor Chris says, "and proof positive is that He called me to be a pastor." But does Jesus really have a sense of humor, and is there any evidence in the Scripture of it? Join us for a look at a fascinating snapshot of Jesus' teaching in Luke 12 where we ponder both a question posed to him and a parable that followed. Some delightfully funny moments (at least according to Pastor Chris) show us some wonderful insights into the mind and character of Christ. This Sunday Special is full of disconnects today, but before diving in, J&J take us to Plug City to talk you through where they were right before the recording. They spent the first part of their day at Albert's Bar after the owner (a subscriber!) reached out claiming his spot was great for a first date. They took in the ambiance during a special project for the pod and ended with lunch to get the full experience so they could assess for themselves. Afterward, they read an “Icky or Picky?” about a trip to Jared's second home, the Comedy Cellar, but our listener wasn't laughing. She was out with her boyfriend for a fun date night, and one joke made him laugh so hard, a mix of the ick and embarrassment came over her. Next, an Aussie listener writes in about her relationship going downhill ever since she let her BF know how her parents felt about their relationship, and now distance is getting added to the mix as he moves closer to work. Are the obstacles all in their heads or can nothing be done? J&J give their two cents to help her out of the hole she's in. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
