When the sound of the ice cream truck on my block made me cry and yearn for a simpler way of life, I knew it was time to talk to a professional about the impact the Coronavirus is having on our lives. Luckily the same day of my meltdown, I was scheduled to talk to Award-Winning, Psychotherapist, Rhonda Richards-Smith on the Built By A Boss podcast. She did an amazing job on this episode of explaining how we can care for our mental health and well-being during this very stressful time. There's a lot of good stuff here like… - What to say to your kids about the Coronavirus. - Why we are stockpiling? - Why people are refusing to self-distance. It’s not what you think! - Why we are grieving and feeling a loss of identity? - How to connect to our emotions and feelings in order to stay healthy. - Why we are all connected and our actions matter. How to actually grow as a person from this experience. Her advice has been featured in Oprah Magazine, US Weekly, BravoTV, Ebony, Teen Vogue and Glamour Magazine among others. Rhonda offers some really insightful tips and practical takeaways that we can use right now and in the future to reinvent our lives. Thanks for listening and enjoy the conversation.
