We are back with the weekly episodes! Today Tyler, Matt, and Mark are all discussing and breaking down PTA's most recent film 2017's Phantom Thread!

With the American Rescue Plan approved, many are looking at the best use of those funds to strengthen government for both short term and long term success.  Today, we look at how those funds might be used to support data infrastructure, and turn to an external subject matter expert, Tyler Kleykamp.Tyler is a Fellow at Georgetown University’s Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation and Director of the State Chief Data Officers Network. Tyler was the State of Connecticut’s first Chief Data Officer (CDO) and one of the first state Chief Data Officers in the nation. A geographer by training, most of Tyler’s career has been in Connecticut state government including positions with the Department of Public Health, Office of Policy and Management, and the Governor’s Office.In his role as CDO Tyler led Connecticut’s efforts to use data to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of state programs, policies, and services. He was named a “Data and IT Innovator” by Route Fifty. Then after they've shared their story we'll transition into talking about vision boards for a little bit and I'll ask what experience they've had with them and share one of the successes that I've had. Tyler Stillwell, 27, shares his incredible fitness journey on the podcast today. Tyler knows what it feels like to weigh 500 pounds. From an early age he knew he wanted a family, he wanted kids and has had a deep conviction that he did not want his parents to have to bury him so he started his weight loss journey. As a freshman in high school Tyler weighed 324 ponds then by the time he graduated he weighed 478.8. In the next three years he worked with a personal trainer and got down to 232 pounds. Then life circumstances occurred and he got back up to 377 pounds in the next 2-3 years. Today Tyler weighs 241 pounds. His story is powerful. It is a great reminder that no one can lose weight for you. It has to be your decision. You will be amazed and inspired by his fitness journey. Enjoy!

"Veteran Transition Stories: Tyler Bowser with VEO" Veteran Voice, Episode 8 This episode featured Tyler Bowser. Tyler is a United States Air Force Veteran and served honorably from 1996 to 2000. While in the Air Force, Tyler worked as a Satellite and Wideband communications journeyman. In his 4 year career in the Air Force he found an amazing sense of camaraderie with his fellow Airmen. He deployed to South West Asia in support of Operation Southern Watch. After leaving the Air Force he found it extremely difficult to acclimate to the civilian world. The team of leaders and managers that wanted to see him succeed inside of the Air Force was not present in corporate America. In 2008, Tyler found an opportunity to re-join the mission he loved and began work as a DoD contractor in Afghanistan. He worked for 3 years at various bases and FOB’s downrange in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After returning from Afghanistan a series of life challenges led to self-destructive behavior. He was fueling his mental health illnesses with a steady supply of alcohol and found himself unemployed and living in his car. On July 5th 2016 his car was repossessed and he had nowhere to go. He made his way to Ft. McPherson and was placed in an emergency bed in a shelter downtown. He knew that that environment was not going to be conducive to his success and was able to be transferred to a Veterans focused facility, Veterans Empowerment Organization. Tyler made a decision that it was time to try a new way of life. On July 10th of 2016 he had his last drink and enrolled into an outpatient program for substance abuse at Ft. McPherson. He felt his life begin to change. He finally felt at peace while staying at VEO. He committed himself to the recovery program and continues to stay sober, celebrating 3 years of continuous sobriety in July of this year. In October of 2016 Tyler joined the development team as an apprentice. Using his experience in Business Development he developed relationships with local Fortune 500 companies and engaged them to financially support the VEO. Today Tyler is thriving as an Ambassador and Development Officer for the organization. He is now married and has 2 amazing stepchildren. He chose to stay and work with VEO as a means to give back to an organization that helped provide all of the tools to regain self-sufficiency.
