Brian Smith breaks down the Aggies' challenging schedule, Reed's concerning interception rate on middle-of-the-field throws, and why defenses are shifting away from man coverage to test the young quarterback's growth. Key topics include Reed's athletic upside, the impact of SEC powerhouses like Alabama and Texas on Texas A&M's schedule, and critical questions about Reed's size, decision-making, and ability to perform in big games. We're back with our February offseason episode, which starts with a lengthy letter from a listener. We're always happy to hear from our listeners, and in this case, the email prompted quite a bit of discussion about Ryan Day, Julian Sayin, and other aspects of Ohio State football. We love a good conversation starter! We also covered a whole lot of offseason topics, with one of the primary ones being the hiring of Arthur Smith as the team's new offensive coordinator. We discussed how it may affect the passing game and help Bo Jackson and the running game in 2026. We still expect the deep ball to Jeremiah Smith to be part of the offense, but you may experience some new flavors this year. There are more than 300 players heading to the NFL Combine and 11 of them are Buckeyes. We talk about who is going and the entire pre-draft process. Our discussion of Ohio State's 2026 schedule includes the complete slate of games, and this fall looks to be a true gauntlet for the men of the scarlet & gray. The Buckeyes will have their hands full, with a lot of difficult road tests in hostile environments, and a lot of top-quality teams. If Day can navigate those turbulent waters to another College Football Playoff appearance, his team will be battle tested. There are a lot of new arrivals in the transfer portal, and we give a rundown of who's new. There are exciting new arrivals on offense, defense, and special teams, and it seems Day has prioritized that third phase of the game in this offseason. NOTE: We are in our offseason schedule, so we will be back at least monthly, with the understanding that we may convene if we line up a guest, get some unexpectely big news, or just get a whole lot of noteworthy things to talk about. If not, we'll see you next month. We would love to hear from you, so please reach out with your feedback and questions below in the comments section or send us an email at silverbulletspod@gmail.com. Any questions directed toward us will be answered on our next show.Be sure to subscribe, rate, review, share, and follow the show over on Twitter at @SilvrBulletsPod.As always, thanks for listening!0:20 - We open with a letter from a listener and our lengthy discussion about it.22:32 - Arthur Smith will run the Ohio State offense. What will that be like?33:28 - The Buckeyes at the NFL Combine, the 2026 OSU schedule is a difficult one, and we discuss the transfer portal arrivals.

RUNDOWN Mitch and Hotshot Scott open Episode 372 setting the stage for the 2026 Prediction Show while reacting to Team USA's Olympic hockey gold and debating why the United States can compete in hockey but not soccer. Mitch checks in from Mariners spring training in Peoria, describing a genuine World Series vibe around the pitching staff — before admitting he needed a personal "attitude adjustment" on 22-year-old second baseman Cole Young. Mitch welcomes back Danny O'Neil, Jason Puckett, and Dave "Groz" Grosby for the 2026 Prediction Show, teasing last year's misses while crowning Puckett as the new champ. The panel makes rapid-fire forecasts on the Seahawks' 2026 season: record, playoff finish, key contract calls (Kenneth Walker, Riq Woolen, Josh Jobe, Rashid Shaheed), draft/free-agent priorities, Sam Darnold's contract future and stat lines, plus big-number projections for JSN and other core pieces. The panel shifts to college football, with Danny projecting a 12-win Washington season and a College Football Playoff berth—while also predicting major turnover with Jed Fisch and Demond Williams gone by 2027. They then pivot to baseball, where Puck and Groz forecast an AL West title and a Mariners trip to the World Series, while Danny takes the contrarian path with 88 wins and no playoffs. The panel finishes Mariners predictions with bold calls on Colt Emerson's debut date, Andrés Muñoz's save total, and the club's World Series outlook—while Danny pegs the Yankees as champions. The conversation widens to NBA expansion in Seattle, where opinions split on timeline and ownership possibilities, and then to the 2026 World Cup, with wildly different forecasts for Team USA. The segment wraps with NBA championship picks, MVP projections, and LeBron James' uncertain future as the Prediction Show heads toward its finale. The panel turns to March Madness, NFL draft projections, and bold NFL quarterback predictions before branching into golf, tennis, the World Baseball Classic, and the Kraken's playoff outlook. Danny calls for Houston to win the NCAA title, Puck backs Arizona, and Groz picks UConn—while wild swings follow on Scheffler majors, Rory's chances, and LeBron's future. The segment culminates with dramatic wild-card predictions, including a potential MLB lockout, a Jamal Crawford-led Sonics return, and a blockbuster Seahawks in-season trade. The guys break down the Miami Hurricanes' top draft prospects, with Rueben Bain and Francis Mauigoa both expected to go in the top ten — and debate whether one could slip to the Dolphins at pick 11. Finally, the guys discuss which NFL situations and coaching staffs give QBs the best chance to succeed at the next level.

Coach is joined by Tony Barnhart for a deep dive into the evolving landscape of college football, specifically focusing on the transformative role of artificial intelligence in game preparation. The duo discusses how AI could revolutionize the analysis of transfer portal data and the breakdown of opponent film, potentially condensing hours of manual labor by graduate assistants into mere minutes of automated processing. They also explore current legal challenges facing the NCAA, specifically regarding player eligibility and the impact of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) on the sport’s traditional structure. The conversation shifts to historical reflections and conference dynamics, featuring a look back at the career of Archie Manning and his record-breaking performances in the late 1960s. Barnhart shares insights from his upcoming book on the SEC, highlighting the leadership of influential figures like former commissioner Roy Kramer and athletic director Vince Dooley. The segment concludes with a look at modern conference realignment, including North Dakota State’s move to the Mountain West and ongoing debates about the potential expansion of the College Football Playoff to a 24-team format, which could signal the end of traditional conference championship games.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
