Vivien Wong is the co-founder of Little Moons, the cult brand that transformed a niche Japanese dessert into a household name. A bold disruptor in the global ice cream market, Vivien is a finalist for the 2025 Veuve Clicquot Bold Woman Award. In this episode, we explore Vivien's remarkable journey from helping in her mother's bakery to founding one of the UK's most talked-about brands. She reflects on the importance of female role models, what starting her own business has brought her personally and professionally, and how one viral social media moment can transform a company's success overnight. From navigating Little Moons' TikTok explosion to the importance of integrity in company culture, Vivien shares the lessons she learned from scaling her values-led business. In this episode, we dive into her experiences working with family, what being woman in business means today, and what awards like Veuve Clicquot are doing to raise the visibility of female success. Vivien believes that creating opportunities for women to connect, learn, and invest together is key to building collective power. An audacious champion of female success and self-belief, her insights offer an honest, hopeful roadmap for founders and future leaders alike. Much like Madame Clicquot herself. We're always looking at new ways to approach the 90s, and in the past we've revisited the output from bands and artists that got that start in the 1970s and 80s, like Tom Petty, KISS, Van Halen, and others. At the suggestion of our friend and 80s Metal co-host Chip, we've revamped the format for a fresh start. We kick it off with progressive arena rock veterans Styx, and start by checking out their 70s and 80s greatest hits to re-familiarize ourselves with the songs that became staples on classic rock radio for decades - "Come Sail Away," "Renegade," "Mr. Roboto," "Lady," and many more. Then we check out their 90s releases - the 1990 album Edge of the Century, which did not feature guitarist Tommy Shaw, then guitarist for Damn Yankees, and then their 1999 reunion with Shaw, and last with lead singer/keyboardist Dennis DeYoung, Brave New World. Unlike many of their classic rock peers, Styx managed to score a hit single at the start of the decade with the ballad "Show Me The Way." From their, we catch up with the band and current status to determine if the band thrived in the 90s, merely adapted to the times, or creatively died.   Songs In This Episode Intro - Show Me The Way (from Edge of the Century) 7:40 - Blue Collar Man (Long Nights) (from Pieces of Eight) 28:42 - Suite Madame Blue (from Equinox) 38:56 - Back To Chicago (from Edge of the Century) 41.57 - All In A Day's Work (from Edge of the Century) 58:57 - What Have They Done to You (from Brave New World) Outro - Everything Is Cool (from Brave New World)   Support the podcast, join the DMO UNION at Patreon. Chicago-born guitarist Josh Ramos got an early musical start in life by playing in the church band before he ever hit double digits. Later in high school he formed and played in bands around the Chicago area. A year out of high school Josh formed LE MANS in 1983. This band recorded two albums, one on the Shrapnel Label and one with Columbia Records. It was during this time that Josh moved to the Bay Area of California and became associated with Neal Schon and his line of "Schon guitars". Josh joined THE STORM in 1991. The Storm recorded an album with Interscope Records and had a #3 hit with "I've Got A Lot To Learn About Love" and a #10 hit with "Show Me The Way", while giving tour support to Bryan Adams, Peter Frampton and Tom Cochran. The album was near gold and the band was established as one that could deliver radio friendly hit songs. The band received a Bay Area Music Award ("Bammie") for Best Debut Album and a BMI Award for airplay for "I've Got A Lot To Learn About Love". In January, 1997, Josh and Kevin Chalfant traveled to London, England to attend the "Frontiers Awards", and to accept awards for "Best Song" and "Best Album" for The Storm's second album "Eye of the Storm" (on the Music For Nations label). The album features songs like "Waiting For The World To Change", "Don't Give Up", "To Have And To Hold" and several others that possess the same quality and mass appeal as the first. Josh joined CA rockers Hardline for the 2nd album and recorded and played live with the band for almost 15 years. Beyond that Josh has been involved in other notable bands/projects such as Two Fires, China Blue, L.R.S. (Tommy LaVerdi, Josh Ramos, Michael Shotton) as well as releasing two solo albums and working with many great musicians along the way.*This podcast was conducted back in April of 2023 and presented on our YouTube channel but was never shared on the streaming platforms until now.

“It's unacceptable to say to somebody in their 30s, when are you having children? Yet, on a daily basis, we've got people that are in their early 50s being asked, when are you going to retire?” Lyndsey Simpson is an entrepreneur and advocate blazing the trail for how workplaces can adapt to an ageing population. In this episode of Show Me The Way, we discuss population change, why ageism is so normalised and what hiring and retraining older workers can offer a business. Her organisation, 55/Redefined, advocates for age positivity and diversity across all areas of life, from age-inclusive hiring to challenging stereotypes in media and advertising.  Despite living longer and healthier lives than ever before, over-50s are feeling increasingly forced into retirement and corralled by ageist stereotypes. But by 2050, our working age population will shrink by 25%, while our over-60s population will grow by 40%. Lyndsey's aim is to add another decade of productive years to life, fighting for age-inclusive hiring, educating businesses on the benefits for age diversity and empowering people to live the life they want at any age. About Lyndsey: Lyndsey Simpson has been recognised by Management Today as one of the UK's 50 Most Inspirational Female Entrepreneurs and The Sunday Times' Top 35 Business Women. She has received a Young Gun and Global Women in Staffing Power 50 award and was shortlisted for the Veuve Cliquot Bold Women 2024 award. She's a global business leader and Managing Partner, Europe and Middle East for law firm Reed Smith, as well as the trustee on the Chartered Management Institute board and chair of the CMI Women's Committee.  In this week's episode, Tamara talks about breaking expectations of female perfectionism in the workplace, and the need to create an environment where women can not only get to the top, but want to be there and stay there.  We discuss society's expectations of female leaders and the sad fact this means many end up falling off the glass cliff and we go into some depth on Alison Rose, the CEO of NatWest who recently resigned.  Hear her expand upon her view of the importance of kindness in leadership and the power of the corporate sisterhood, reinvention and resilience. Tamara also has some great book recommendations.     For Emmeline's bookshelf Tamara recommends:  The Magic Treehouse series Jack Stalwart Secret Agent

Rokeya is the founder of the luxury fashion brand, Khanums. She is a British Bangladeshi, born and raised around what she calls the “dodgy” ends of East London. She came from a working class family of seven siblings, with parents who immigrated from Bangladesh for better opportunities. She became a young teen mum and ended up a lone parent.  Statistically, the odds were stacked up against her but she wouldn't let societal expectation (or lack of it) hold her back.  Rokeya put herself through law school and started a job in the corporate world. On the side she started to design her own clothes and launched her own brand. And it went from strength to strength. LIVE: Lee Greenwood -- The Story Behind "God Bless The USA" LIVE: Lee Greenwood -- The Story Behind "God Bless The USA" Music has always been a part of Lee Greenwood's life. He started playing the piano when he was seven and the saxophone at 12. In junior high, he started his first group called the Moonbeams. His sister Patricia was the piano player in the band. By the time, he finished High School he played most all the instruments in the orchestra and was the Drum Major for the marching band.   Greenwood was born in Los Angeles California & finished high school in Sacramento in June 1960. He passed on track & music scholarships to the College of the Pacific along with a professional baseball career to pursue his passion for music. He also elected to skip his high school graduation ceremony to begin work at the Golden Hotel & Casino in Reno Nevada with his own band, the “Apollos”. That turned out to be a great choice. The California native was discovered in 1979 by Larry McFaden, who saw him performing in a show at the Nugget Casino in Sparks, Nevada. Larry was the bass player and bandleader for Mel Tillis. He brought the singer to Nashville and got him signed to the Halsey Agency, who booked The Oak Ridge Boys. He began working with producer Jerry Crutchfield who would record with Lee for the next 20 years.   “Choosing songs to record is always exciting,” says Greenwood. “I'm a songwriter as well and I love lyrics that have depth and emotion. I'm thankful for the many writers & artists who have contributed to my career”.   With seven #1 songs & 25 charted singles to his credit, choosing songs proved to be a success for Greenwood. His country hits include: “It Turns Me Inside Out”, “Ring On Her Finger Time On Her Hands”, ”She's Lying”, “I Don't Mind the Thorns If You're The Rose”, “Dixie Road”, “Somebody's Gonna Love You”, “Going Going Gone”, “You Got A Good Love Comin”, “Fools Gold”, and “Mornin Ride” while he already garnered several crossover hits such as “Touch & Go Crazy”, “IOU” and the duet with Barbara Mandrell, “To Me”.   Lee Greenwood has won numerous industry awards including, Male Vocalist of the Year from the Academy of Country Music in 1983, two Male Vocalist of the Year awards from the Country Music Association in 1983 & 1984 and a Grammy for Top Male Vocal Performance in 1985 for “I.O.U.”. The CMA also named “God Bless The U.S.A.” its Song of the Year in 1985.   “God Bless the USA” went far beyond what Greenwood expected when he wrote it in the back of his tour bus in 1983. The song has been in the top five on the country singles charts three times (1991, 2001 and 2003), giving it the distinction of being the only song in any genre of music to achieve that feat. It was also #1 on the pop charts after 9/11/01. In addition, CBS News voted “God Bless The U.S.A.” the most recognizable patriotic song in America. In 2011, Beyonce offered her version of “God Bless the U.S.A.” as a download, with the proceeds going to the 9/11 firefighters fund in NYC. It has been performed by contestants on “American Idol” twice & was the winning song in the 2011 “Dancing with the Stars” competition on ABC. It is performed at all military and patriotic events throughout the year all across America. “USA” has also been in several movies and is now part of the film shown by The Department of Homeland Security when new citizens are sworn in to the United States.   Greenwood says; “USA is the song I always felt the need to write. I wanted to have something that would unite Americans from coast to coast and to instill pride back in the United States. The song represents my family, my community and those men and women who have paid the price for the freedoms we all love and enjoy.” President George W. Bush appointed Greenwood to serve on the National Endowment of the Arts Council and his appointment was U.S. Senate approved. That Presidential Appointment continued under President Obama and still continues under President Trump.   In 2012, Greenwood released a children's illustrated book, “Does God Still Bless the U.S.A.,” and ranked #1 on many of the notable Best Sellers Lists. It features a 30 day calendar, “Prayers of a Patriot” and includes two songs, written by Greenwood, free for download in the back of the book. One is a new version of “God Bless the U.S.A.,” and the other is a Praise & Worship song, “Show Me The Way”.   Lee and his wife, Kimberly, a former Miss Tennessee, fell in love on his 1989 USO/DOD tour. They were married in Nashville in 1992 and have two sons, Dalton and Parker.   Lee's Website: https://leegreenwood.com/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Help us fund the operation here: www.ToddCoconato.com/give Get up-to-the-minute news here: www.Remnant.News Download our new app at www.ToddCoconato.com/app Follow Pastor Todd here: www.toddcoconato.com/findme Go to our store for special deals for Remnant Warriors here: https://remnant.news/hanews/deals-for-remnant-warriors/

This prayer echoes our heart. Be there for me; direct me; reveal the way… it's a common cry from human beings to God. We are wise when we call to God before we face our crossroads – should we take the path to the left or to the right? What does God know that we don't? Everything! Real wisdom is acknowledging our inability to see the future and choosing to ask the One who does. His love for us is deep and unfailing. He won't send us where He won't go with us. THE THESIS: This school will do more to help young people than anyone in the White House will ever think of doing. THE SCRIPTURE & SCRIPTURAL RESOURCES:  Proverbs 22:9 9 The generous will themselves be blessed,     for they share their food with the poor. Ephesians 4:28 28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.” Luke 12:47-49 47 “The servant who knows the master's will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows. 48 But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. Read about the X School for Boys LETTERS Mr. Herman,  God bless you my brother! I only just first heard of you because you were on with Frank Turek! Along with Greg Koukle, Alistair Begg and Frank , I know you have Jesus as #1 in your life and I love listening to you!  I just listened to your Father's Day podcast and got tears in my eyes when you were talking about spending the night in the hospital with your daughter! My wife, who passed away about seven years ago, when she was in the hospital and when I would not spend the night with her but with our little boy at home, her dad would spend the night in my place and at the time I thought that was a little weird. But after hearing what you said and having 4 young kids myself, I completely understand! It doesn't matter how old your children are, or what they have done, they will always have a place in our heart! God bless you again Todd and keep fighting the good fight! You and others with you are in my prayers Tim ---   ---   --- Good Morning Todd, I wanted to say thank you and keep on keeping on. I appreciate your faithfulness to God's word. And regarding the rock ballad experiment, I enjoyed that as well. Near as I can tell we both share many similar experiences and God touches the lives of those who actively seek him in very profound ways. And sometimes in music and drugs, and crime, and all sorts of not so fuzzy bunny ways. At any rate, I wondered if you like the band Styx, I always related deeply to their song Man In The Wilderness, and then one I discovered Show Me The Way. I dropped the YouTube link for you to check it out if you've not heard it before. Enjoy brother. Keep the faith first and foremost. Never waver. Question everything, especially yourself. And love God like nothing else. Remember, those who have much to forgive, love much. Listen listen, love love.
