On Rent Control Radio we will be covering the City of Minneapolis' "Rent Stablization Working Group", a group appointed by the mayor and city council to shape a potential Rent Control policy for the city. The Rent Stabilization Working Group has their first meeting today 9/13/22 and are scheduled to meet through the rest of the year. On today's premier episode we sit down with Sean Lim from Minneapolis United for Rent Control & the Minnesota Youth Collective and B Rosas who was an organizer in the Housing Equity Now St. Paul (HENS) coaltion that led the successful referendum for Rent Control in St. Paul in 2021. St. Patricks Battalion was a multi-racial unit comprised mostly of recent Irish immigrants who defected from the slave holding army of the United States and fought with the people of Mexico against the U.S. invasion.
