Are you ready to embrace the technological revolution in healthcare and nursing? As nurses, we understand that the modern healthcare environment is different from what it was just a couple of decades ago. We face the pressure of increasingly time-consuming administrative tasks, including extensive documentation requirements that can detract from direct patient care. The good news is, that we're on the brink of a significant transformation that can help us refocus on what matters most – our patients. Welcome back #nursenation to the Nurse to Nurse podcast! In today's episode, we delved into the fascinating world of emerging technologies in nursing and their potential to enhance patient care. We explored topics like predictive analytics, mobile applications, robotic systems, AI for clinical decision support, and telehealth with remote patient monitoring. While some may find these topics daunting or uninteresting, they are paramount in reshaping the landscape of healthcare and addressing the very real challenges we face as healthcare providers. We also discussed the incredible potential of telehealth and remote patient monitoring. With the advent of wearable devices and health apps, patients can take charge of their own health like never before. These tools empower individuals to monitor their vital signs, keep their chronic conditions in check, and proactively engage with healthcare professionals, all from the comfort of their homes. As nurses, we have the opportunity to guide our patients in embracing this technology, fostering a new era of preventive and patient-centered care. Key takeaways from the episode: Understanding Telemedicine: Telemedicine is more than just video calls; it's a comprehensive approach to providing remote patient care, enhancing accessibility, and increasing patient satisfaction. The Role of Robotics in Patient Care: Robots are not replacing nurses but complementing their roles by performing tasks like lifting patients and monitoring vital signs, thereby reducing the physical strain on healthcare professionals. The Importance of Adaptability: We emphasize the need for nurses to be open to change and willing to learn about and embrace new technologies, even if they seem overwhelming at first. Promoting Patient-Centered Care: By integrating these technologies, nurses can enhance patient experiences, ensuring that care is not only efficient but also personalized, compassionate, and tailored to individual needs. Fostering a Curious Mindset: We encourage listeners to stay curious, explore these innovations, and understand how they can make a significant difference in patient outcomes and overall healthcare efficiency. Advocating for Patient Advocacy: These technologies empower nurses to advocate for their patients effectively, ensuring that they receive the best possible care and are actively involved in their healthcare decisions. By learning about and embracing these lessons, you can position yourselves as leaders in the evolving healthcare landscape, providing high-quality care while embracing the benefits of technological advancements. Are you using wearables or health apps to monitor your health? Have you witnessed the positive impact of AI on your nursing practice? Welcome back everyone to another episode of the Nurse to Nurse podcast-straight talk with the two skilled nurses Kevin and Starshema! Nursing is considered a hard job and their work stresses can have negative effects on health and quality of life. In today's episode, we are going to help you understand the stressful environment nurses experience every day. But first, let us ask you a question, “Is being an ER and ICU nurse the same?” You probably know that there are different roles in the healthcare facility as an ER Nurse and ICU Nurse that most people would find hard to respect speciality. How medication works for all nurses also differs from their experience. Take note that it's an important role of a nurse to educate patients about medications, dosages, and possible side effects. This also helps to determine if nurses had adequate pharmacology knowledge of the drugs they administer. We also talked about how you manage stress and what you could have done to be able to get back on track and save lives. Although not all stress is negative, even positive stress can have a negative effect on an individual. Sometimes they get stressed about Patients and family members who demand, lack of needed resources to do the work, or even unsupportive workers. Self-care is not optional in the nursing profession. Nurses can only care for patients if they've taken steps to take care of themselves. Therefore, learning how to manage stress as a nurse is the key to enjoying a long and healthy career. Hey Girlfriends! Welcome back to the Nurse to Nurse podcast! Today, we are going to talk about the things that we nurses did not learn in nursing school. I know that we learned many things from nursing school right? They taught as so much. They taught us how to be good to other people. They taught us the privilege to help people that are in the most vulnerable times of their lives. They taught us how to prioritize care for our patients. All in all nursing school taught us how to be a nurse, how to earn money with caring for people in an organization like hospital settings, home clinical type settings and a lot more. But as I grow my business, what I realize is nursing school did not teach us how to be able to take our expertise and skill and still drive impact to the world, still care for people and monetize our own knowledge. They didn't teach us how we can do so much more with our knowledge and skill. And today we are going to talk about that. I'm going to disrupt the space that does not align any longer with the things that nursing school teaches us. _______________________________________________ If you're feeling inspired and ready to build your personal brand and create a premium coaching practice in 90 days, visit www.iamstarshema.com/buildmybrand to start your journey today! Episode 14: Sis, it is time to build the brand! In this episode, Starshema shares three things that have stood in the way of female entrepreneurs; coming from behind the scenes of their business brand and building a personal brand. As a woman, I know how hard it is for our brands to be seen. You are not alone in this struggle! This is the reason why I have listed the top 3 objections that we are facing now and how we could go through those objections one by one! Defying social norms Even today, men dominate the business world. We can only see a few women who spearhead their brands. Seeing all these men can sometimes intimidate women. So, we end up putting on a “manly” front when it comes to business. We tend to act too “competitive” that we often forget that we need to be real in who we are as a brand and as a person. Believe in your identity as a brand and as a person, and everything else will follow! Owning your success story Most women are used to using “we” instead of “I” when talking about their accomplishments. Although that's not a bad thing, it does show how using “I” can seem like bragging for most women when it's not. It's time that we acknowledge what we deserve. You hustled to get that dream. You deserve to be recognized! Fearing failure and failing publicly Failure may seem scary for everyone. Not having everything go to plan and being rejected can be stressful. But believing that these moments are the best teachers will help us in bouncing right up. Mistakes happen, and sometimes we make poor business decisions. The important thing is we learn from those mistakes, and we do better the next time! Can you relate? Tune in and find out more about building your dream brand now!

In this Episode, you will meet Kaja, Female CEO / Fondant expert at Kaja's Kreations. Kaja will share the impact COVID-19 has had on her business and how she had to unleash and pivot her business. Kaja has consistently been able to clear mid to high four-figure months. Here is more about Kaja: "I was born and raised in Gdansk, Poland, a beautiful seaside city. Because I was born during communistic times, I spent most of my childhood at my grandparents' cottage in the middle of the woods. Milking cows, hunting for mushrooms, and berries in the woods were how my time was spent. I also watched my grandma bake delicious cakes when I was younger. I came to the U.S. in 2003 as an exchange student to work at the summer camp and learn English. I met my husband there, and the rest is history. I loved baking cakes for my kids, but it wasn't until about six years ago that my friends pushed me to sell my cakes to others. So I did, and after working two jobs and making cakes on the side for over three years, I decided to quit my day job and do baking full time. In 2 weeks it will be two years since I made that move and I'm still here, doing what I love." Learn more about her inspiring life story and how she built her dream business.
